He successfully merged with the virus and became an ultra powerful being. =) Oh, and if you're new to the series I recommend that you play resident evil 1 - infact, play the REmake. It's sheer genius, and a personal favourite of mine. =)

Rebecca doesnt really die, neither does Barry, it depends of how good you do in the game, you can save rebecca from the Hunter (playing as Chris) and you can save Barry (playing as jill) Its the players choise,even in Resident evil Wiki, Rebecca and Barry are currently alive but innactive.

@FunnyBite: i agree. though i haven't really played the RE1 remake, the determining sequences (whether Rebecca or Barry would either survive or die) are also prevalent on the original Playstation release. For Rebecca, if she asks Chris to join him, and the latter says Yes, Rebecca would be following him all the way to the guardhouse and courtyard (she will NEVER be attacked by Hunters as she would no longer be staying at the Main Mansion)

I'll never understand this. In the comic, kenneth was black, enrico got head shot, and Richard gets eaten by shark. Richard does in Chris mode, but both original and remake res evil had Kenneth white (in original old and white, remake young and white) and enrico shot in chest.
