Hello I am looking to buy a benchtop cnc. Are steppers ok? Do they really miss steps. Did your threads come out good. I'm not sure Taig with steppers or townlabs with servo. Any advice will help.

Have you ever done NPT threading?

We've been going through taps like socks.

$28.00 per and they're good for tapping 4 holes into

4140 HT. I'm wondering if thread milling a 3/8 NPT would save us some money.

NPT threading can be done with these thread mills, they are made from micrograin carbide so they will definately save you money.
