I agree that the catholic church is most likely the whore of babylon. But can someone explain to me how she rides the beast? And the beast will hate her.
@janole3711 The beast is the system of the anti-christ that Vatican commands. It is the small horn in daniel´s prophecy symbolizing kingdoms,it´s the small kingdom and different from the others. When the anti-christ appears pope will certainly recognize him as the real God leading people to his lies. They will discredit the Bible since they pretend to represent the real church and present this new version of christ. That´s why they say the first beast gives all power to the second one.
@janole3711 After presenting a new age fake christ people will think that the real Jesus was a lie and at some point I think they will destroy Vatican after it served the purpose of making people believe the anti-christ and the New World Order.
Everything in catholicism is an appostae message of the Bible, including these mary apparitions that are satanic,it gives the impression vatican has been invaded by satan a few decades ago,it hasn´t. It has always been a satanic deception.
@THOMAZ1DNA Yeah TY. I was going to a catholic church for food. And went to one of there sevices and noticed that there were homosexuals there. So I asked the priest guy if they think that was a sin and they said no. So I never went back. They also were watching some evil horror movies during christmas time in the church dinning area and I was starting to realize that the caltholic church is evil. TY God bless

@janole3711 Cause the church satan infiltrated mentioned in the Bible is not roman catholic, it is all people who teaches apostate word of God. But since they present themselves as the real church, this satanic entity posing as Mary says the vatican is infiltrated like it happened only now and the rest of the prior fake teaching weren´t already the work of satan:the worshipp of images, the fake doctrine fof purgatory, the changes in the commandments, changing the blessed saturday to sunday, etc
Pray for All Men 1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
Okay, if anyone is going to reply to me, don't expect a reply for a while and do not presume that I am trying to avoid a debate (which I would win anyway). I simply have to go right now. God bless.
@Archangel777Catholic Thanks for being an interesting part of the discussion. Seems to me that you (like most RC members - and I know many) are on the right path with a good heart in spite of the misinformation you are subject to. A just and merciful God will surely take many things into consideration when we stand to be judged. Just because some on the right path may not agree does not mean they will be condemned. It is Jesus' call.
@hiyosilver100 Please expand on your "Angel assistance" assistance. I am guessing you mean some sort of guardian angel?
Google search-Angel Assistance Ltd is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
God id clear on what is required.
Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
@amy2x Just to be a thorn in your side (and for my edification) : ) Angels are not 'dead people' and are given the task of ministering to man. Is it right and proper to petition them to... well, say- keep us safe? There are many reports of Angels assisting people at traffic accidents, etc.
@hiyosilver100 Bible say to pray to God in Jesus name. God does not want us speaking/praying to Angels. Certainly if they appeared in Human form it would be OK to speak to them but people never realize at the time that the person was Angel.
@amy2x Please provide line and verse that tells us that God does not want us to seek the help of the Angels that have the primary job (after worshipping God, of course) of ministering to humans.
"And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD." ~Judges 13:16
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ~Colossians 2:18
@hiyosilver100 In the first verse, the angel that appeared to Manoah told him not to offer a burnt offering to them, but unto the Lord.Paul writes a warning to the church at Colosse not to worship angels. In Revelation, the angel tells John not to worship at their feet.
@hiyosilver100 "And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things." ~Revelation 22:8
"Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God." ~Revelation 22:9
Please Worship God! He will disperse Angels to where they are needed.
@Archangel777Catholic You misspelled the 2nd to last word. Should be "god." This how your false god is to be spelled. Same god Muslims worship. SATAN! Jesus is the answer. Pleases denounce your Pagan god Mary "The Queen of Heaven." She goes by many other name in other religions.
@amy2x Uhhhhhhhhhhh...... You do realize that I worship God, correct? If I worshipped Satan, do you suppose I would lie about it and thus anger him? If the Church truly is Satanic, then why do we denounce Satan and his demons in almost every prayer? And why are we the only Christian religion that does true exorcisms in which we expel demonic spirits? Satan is prideful, do you really suppose he would let his alleged followers reject him openly?
why ddnt you ask to the vantican for every word u have for each picture.. they have d right interpretation for ur vid... u r an anti-christ right.? hate dis vid.
@monkigun Catholicism is the Whore Anti-Christ Religion. It is a 'ism' like Buddhism. Dear Father in Heaven, please open this persons eyes, heart and mind to the Truth of the Satanic Catholic Cult. I pray this in Jesus name; AMEN.
@amy2x No The Catholic Church is Holy because it was the only Christian Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself in 33 AD and it is guided by the Holy Spirit as Jesus promised. Jesus Founded ONE Church , ONE Faith, and There is ONE Body that is in Unity with Him-The Holy Catholic Church that was built on the Divinely Authoritative teachings of the Apostles. If /when you get to kneel before the Throne of the Almighty and offer praise to Him with all of the Saints and Angels yoo too will be Catholic!
@amy2x No Catholics Worship God through our Lord . with Our Lord and in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Holy Church He founded in 33 AD and it s guided by the Holy Spirit and ministered by the successors to the Apostles. Only through the Holy Church can one give Glory to God in the Highest for it is the Sacrament of Salvation which was instituted by Jesus Christ for our Salvation. Jesus Christ is the first and the last and everything in between in the Holy Church and we obey Him . Peace!
@monkigun monk, pls read the Bible - preferably the King James but you will see inconsistancies even in the Douay/Reims - and compare the scriptures with the RC practises. The Bible is explicit in some areas (call no man "father", do not pray repitious like the heathens and much more) that are ignored by the RC. Compare the Commandments (make no graven images, etc). There is a reason that the RC discourages reading of the Bible (under penalty of death at one time in history).
@Archangel777Catholic I stand by what I said. One of us is making a mistake and misreading. Of course, our same prayers can & will be repeated. Example of what is NOT sanctioned: We were taught in RC grade school to repeat My Jesus Mercy or Lord Have Mercy, etc nearly endlessly as well as other "prayers" that are total nonsense.
If we have a 'request' we need to say it as if we are talking to a friend with a personal relationship. Not mindlessly repeat inane words.
@hiyosilver100 The fault is yours and yours alone if they are inane. Find meaning in the mesage of the prayer and it will be loved by God. Really must go now, sorry. Of course though, the Catholic Church says personal prayers are great as well. God bless.
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry, inane repetition is inane repetition. If there is meaning in the prayer- yes. I agree. Repeating the same heartfelt petitions is fully proper.
Otherwise, we are told to avoid praying like the heathens.
What is important is the personal relationship with God/Jesus. How would a friend react if someone would ask Give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some.....ad infinitum???
@hiyosilver100 However, the difference is that anything you ask the Lord will be received and "ad infinitum" is nothing to Chrost because the Lord has no concept of time because 1000 years is like a day and a day like a 1000 years.
"Avoid repetitive prayer like the heathens" differs GREATLY from "avoid repetitive prayer". Please think this topic over and pray about it. God bless.
@Archangel777Catholic Ah, you duel with semantics. Much like Sister Mary Bridget did with unsophisticated 8th graders when asked a difficult question.
@hiyosilver100 I assure you Catholics read and understand the Bible. When you say call no man Father -what about Paul saying He is our Father in 1 Cor 4;15? Either your exegesis is wrong or Paul is wrong. We believe Paul is right. And We believe that God permits graven Images such as the bronze serpent He ordered Moses to make (Numbers 21:8) and the Golden Cherubim that bracketed the oracle ( Exodus 25:18) and the Molten Sea in the Temple with the 12 bronze oxen ( 1Kings 7 ) Peace
@monkigun Thank you for the help. Do Protestants actually believe that they are graven images? Do they really think that Giod would order the height of hypocrisy with graven images (on the Ark of the Covenant) containing the Commandments which prohibitied graven images? Obviously, they were not idols and so the Catholic images are not either.
@Archangel777Catholic Luther was a Protestant and still worshiped Mary. I am just a Christian. That is all. Catholicism is a false belief. A true Christian with the Help of the Holy spirit can understand the scriptures. I don't need pedophile priest telling me how and what to believe. Catholicisms is fear based and all about controlling you!
@amy2x Catholics are Christian first of all, take a decent history class without a bigoted instructor and you will learn that. A true Christian follows all of the Bible, you know, the one that prescribes confession, papal authority, necessity of works, celibacy of the priesthood, tradition, the Eucharist, Purgatory, relic veneration, infant Baptism, you know, that Bible, the full one.
And even without the "Apocryphal" books I could still prve Catholicism's biblical basis.
@Archangel777Catholic Catholics call Cracker in middle of sunbursts Jesus or HOLY Eucharist. They eat their Jesus. Before eating him, they bow down in front of gold thing(monstrance)that holds their Jesus & worship him. Before they bow down in front of monstrance(graven image)with their Jesus(idol) in it,they like to parade him through streets & "adore" him in solemn processions.Their Jesus can't walk.Has to be borne about by men.THIS is Catholic Jesus & is not Jesus of Bible.
@Archangel777Catholic The cracker/bread and Wine are Representative of Christs blood and body. Catholics say they are eating the real thing. Catholicism is a perversion.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” NO MENTION OF CRACKER AND WINE HERE!
@amy2x Jesus did not say that the bread was LIKE His Body, He said it WAS His Body. He did not say eat bread in memoriam, He said eat His Body and drink His Blood.
"Then Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.'" John 6:53 NKJV
Do you eat the flesh and drink the blood of Christ? No?
@Archangel777 Catholic Satan worship is so fervently & irreverently practiced in the very seat of Rome, inside the profane temple popes built--the temple known as St. Peter's Cathedral, which has the Egyptian sun god obelisk on display in its front courtyard.Yes, 666 is rising fast. The Pope, his Vatican,& its hierarchy are preparing way for the corrupt Beast. They,as well as their non-Catholic helpers, are opening a creaking doorway to Ultimate Evil.
@amy2x That's strange, thought th eobelisk is from Egypt, it has no writing on it denoting it as such. It may as well be a simple post rather than a "sun god" dedication. You say the way is being prepared for the Beast, did'nt you say the Church was the Beast? Please be consistent if you are going to debate.
@amy2x You and no other have ever given me any evidence of this and the more you try, the more I realize how cruel, unloving, and un-Christian the other denominations of Christiantity are and I am more and more drawn to the beauty of Catholicism.
Satan does not own me, I was baptised in the Catholic Church.
@Archangel777Catholic Catholics claim that they are not worshiping Mary. They are violating the Bible by even bowing to her(they certainly are).To reverence & adore the"Mother Mary"is to commit idolatry.NOT 1 single verse in entire Bible where Jesus told anyone to recognize Mary in any special way.Catholics use the reasoning that Mary was with Jesus all the time, which simply is NOT true,& there are no Scriptures to indicate such foolish conjecturing.Jesus was NO momma's boy.
@Archangel777Catholic Oh how blinded are the minds of most people, walking in darkness, they stumble and know it not. Jesus is the answer, not a religion! The Catholic religion is a lie, a road to destruction which has been cleverly paved with good intentions. Open your Bible and read it for yourself. Mary is NOT the co-redeemer!
@Archangel777 Luther was a Catholic Whore. He also worshiped your Pagan Mary. Calvin likely is rotting in Hell with Luther. Many Protestants are part of the Catholic Whore. I am a True Christian of the Bible. That is all!
@Archangel777Catholic Catholicism is composed of manmade doctrines, not the commandments of God. Don't be fooled! Please don't go to hell because of false religion based upon lies, ceremonialism and formalism.
@amy2x Not only did you make no attempt to deny what I said (more than likely because you can't...), but you also go on to lie about the origin of the Church's teachings.
We are told by St. Paul that we MUST follow both Scripture AND tradition in both:
@Archangel777Catholic You conveniently leave out that the "traditions" that we should follow are Biblical traditions and not traditions made up by mere men.
@Archangel777Catholic Like the tradition that prompted the nuns to tell us kids that we would go to hell if we ate meat on Friday? I will surely PASS on any 'traditions' offered!
@hiyosilver100 Some do not teach accurately, I apologize on their behalf. You will not go to Hell if you do not abstain from meat, however, it is a good way of keeping your mind on God throughout the day.
Once again, that tradition is found in the Bible:
@Archangel777Catholic How little you understand. God's chosen men wrote the KJV version and king James had people do the best job possible in translation. King James may have been prejudiced for his version against others, say - Tynsdale - but I can not find any references that good ol' king James had burned mountains of the Tynsdale Bible or had people burned alive for reading it. Hmmmm--- seems that the Catholic Inquisitors did just that.
@hiyosilver100 Oh, I see, for almost 1600 years God had chosen the wrong men to do it, because NONE of them in all of that time ever produced a Bible with the necessary abridgements that God desired.
Hmmm, no they didn't. You should study more on the Inquisition, which by the way, was not run by the Church but the kings of different countries to ensure loyalty of citizens.
@Archangel777Catholic Are Christians not told to reprove, rebuke and teach another when they are not following the Bible principles? Much like you are attempting to do even though you are not properly applying the verses?
@hiyosilver100 I know that they are called to do so, however, you have no right as you are not a true Christian following EVERY principle in the Bible.
Further you never reproved, rebuked, or taught me anything. I'm the one doing all the refuting and instructing here!
@hiyosilver100 Thanks for your Support Friend. God can move mountains and he surely moved King James to put his word to print. Prayers of thousands of Christians around the world likely led to it.
Catholic Catholic One billion people foolishly look to the Vatican in Rome for spiritual guidance, and not to the Word of God.The Vatican keeps adding NEW doctrines (example: the false doctrine of the"Immaculate Conception of Mary"didn't exist until 1950).What will they add next?Bible NEVER changes, nor has it changed from when it was first written. The King James Bible(not NKJV)has preserved the Words of God for this generation (Psalm 12:6-8).
@Archangel777Catholic You are really funny (in the sense of peculiar and laughable) grasping as straws to prove what cannot be proven from the Bible. Luke 1:28 and 42 do not prove that Mary is to receive special veneration. She is remarkable and chosen by God above all others- yes. And, pls, there is no Luke 10:48 (typo?).
@hiyosilver100 Grasping at straws? I was under the impression that the entire Protestant religion was founded on straws! All I hear is "John 3:16" all day, and even then, they naturally use their faulty KJV translation.
Mary is "blessed among all women'.I don't know if you accidentally didn't see those, because that is special veneration.
Yes, sorry about that, Luke 1:48 says that all generations shall call her blessed. Hmmm... doesn't the Catholic Church call her blessed? Do you? Strange.....
@hiyosilver100 The word of God does not emit a stench! If you Read the Gospel of Luke you will see we are to call Mary Blessed !
Luke 1:46 And Mary said: My soul does magnify the Lord. 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 Because he has regarded the humility of his handmaid: for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 Because he that is mighty has done great things to me: and holy is his name.
@Archangel777Catholic Well- you THINK you know. You conveniently ignore the daily veneration of Mary in the RCC and the many rosaries said that the RCC tells people will save them from hell. It is NOT Biblical. Research some of your own RCC literature that calls Mary co-redemptrix. If anything, more and more, the RCC holds Mary higher than Christ.
@Archangel777Catholic Apparently, you have not viewed this series&videos by others with similar yet different info&photos of occult&masonic symbols in plain sight in&around the vatican. It is merely coincidence that the Old London Banking District (which has it's own government), Washington, D.C.&theVatican have a pagan phallic symbol at their hearts?Should not the RCC go out of it's way to insure that NO pagan symbols are associated with it(much like the upside down cross?)
@Archangel777Catholic Wow! That is so wrong! There is NO mention in the Bible of believers being required to be a cannibal / take communion in order to be saved. Jesus died once for our sins. "It is finished"! To have the sacrifice done continuously is doubting the first and only true sacrifice of Jesus.
@hiyosilver100 How about the Words of Jesus Christ ! John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 61.... He said unto them, Doth this offend you?
@monkigun There is nothing in the Bible that says that a man (priest) can or should attempt to turn bread and wine into the Body & Blood of Christ. Many understand this to mean that unless there is full acceptance of Christ as the living man / God, he will not be saved. There is nothing in Jewish history that indicates any part of cannibalism is acceptable. Knowing that, the Jewish followers would understand about the full acceptance of Christ as Saviour.
@hiyosilver100 Many people TRULY BELIEVED the world was flat too- but what they BELIEVED was not TRUE! We see in Genesis 14 an antetype of Jesus in the Priest Melchizedek as He offers bread and Wine, In Exodus 12 another antetype of Christ -the Paschal Lamb is offered and eaten- and God commands us to keep an everlasting observance of this. Jesus completes and fulfills the Sacred Mystery at the Last Supper and then the Risen Christ does it again ( Luke 24:30) It is Beautiful!
@hiyosilver100 Every instance of Jesus prefacing a statement with Amen Amen , or verily verily , or Truly Truly is one where He is clearing up our misunderstanding and it is to be taken literally. The hermeneutics Johns Gospel ch 6 is very clear - soma changes to sarx and phago changes to trogo after the Amen preface of verse 53.. Jesus knew many would not believe and I guess you are one of them. Jesus talks of eternal life in the Eucharist - ignoring Him puts your soul in peril.
My soul is not in peril. With so much eternally at stake, I will pass or fail on MY merits, on MY understanding and following and I will not rely on the words of a man (even if he is called pope) who can be sincere but inaccurate but who can also be devious and misleading.
I am smart enough to discern on my own with the help of other trusted believers. Jesus knows my heart and sincerity and will judge me on MY merits.
@hiyosilver100 " WOW! You will pass or fail on Your Understanding??? Good Luck with that! Reminds me of the David Koresh and Joseph Smith and Jim Jones school of thought. As for me I will rely on the Apostolic Teachings for understanding. One of the fruits of which is the Canon Sacred Scriptures as revealed by the Holy Spirit.
@hiyosilver100 Saint Paul received Apostolic teaching from Saint Peter and Saint James ( Galatians 1:18-20) I do not think Saint Paul being taught Apostolic teachings failed him whatsoever. What is good enough for Saint Paul is good enough for me! Peace and Merry Christmas ( -if your sect celebrates it-)
@monkigun I belong to no sect, group. I read and follow the Bible. Religions are cults and are satanic to one degree or another. Following the Bible as best we can is a way of life.
(I'm still searching in there, BTW, for 'sit, stand, kneel, ring bells. Sit stand, kneel, ring bells, spread incense, sermonize on the sme 6 parables during mass, as well as the mass itself, sit, stand, kneel...' they just must be some of those Biblical and not manmade traditions someone mentioned...hmmm.)
@hiyosilver100 It's called a sign of respect and (once again) takes itself from biblical tradition such as when Joshua saw the angel and fell to the ground, or others kneeled before prominent biblical figures, etc.
@hiyosilver100 Well I worship God in the Holy Church founded by Jesus Christ , ministered by the Apostles and their successors and guided by the Holy Spirit. I follow the Risen Glorified Christ who is the Word of God! At Mass Catholics sit when they are being taught,or listen to the prophecies, stand when they pray or listen to the Gospel and kneel when they offer praise and Glory to God, The practice of using Incense can be found in the Bible Leviticus 16:12-13 ,Hebrews 9:4
@hiyosilver100 During the Liturgy of the Word at Mass Catholics will usually hear and read along with An Old Testament Reading , then we will sing psalms , then we will hear and read along with a New testament reading from one of the Epistles or Revelation Then we will sing Alleluia Alleluia and Listen and read along with a Gospel reading. Then We will hear a Homily which ties them all together. If you attend Mass everyday for 3 years You will have heard the Written Word of God
@hiyosilver100 Please Remember Bearing False Witness against the Holy Church is a Sin. May the Peace of the Risen Lord Be with you and remove your Hate for His Church and May the Holy Spirit then fill you with Grace so your eyes may be opened.
@amy2x then you would have read the part about you have to eat and drink the body and blood of jesus to have life in you you quoted the part of scripture that said who believeth in jesus should have everlasting life but that means you have to believe everything he taught not just take one quote because it sounds good to youi
@Archangel777Catholic Perhaps you will provide line and verse specifically to back your claim? Confession to a man? Papal authority (who, BTW, is a MAN that claims he is God on earth and Jesus but in a different body. Blasphemy of the highest order?) Necessity of works to be saved? Wow....none of what you cite is Biblical! An open minded review would prove that there is NO Biblical basis for Catholicism. Oh! And, as you point out, it's an 'ism'. Hmmm.
All that I cite is clearly biblical, and from the corrupted translation of the NKJV nonetheless!
Thank you for pointing that out, 'ism' merely means belief, ergo, I have a universal belief, that is, I and all Catholics believe in the universally applicant Church that Christ Himself founded.
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry. It is clear that you are stretching the verses and moulding them into the meaning that you want. Confess to *each other* as it says. NOT to a 'special' man called a priest who claims to have the power to assign a penance and forgive the sins.....the rest are in a similar vein. We are clearly told that calling on the name of Jesus is all that is required to be saved. What 'works' did the 'good thief' do? "Woman, go. Thy FAITH has saved thee."
@hiyosilver100 I admit that it does not say a priest, but who are you going to trust with knowledge of your sins? Doesn't an appointed official and proffessional make more sense?
Doesn't "have the power to assign penance and forgive the sins..." Hmmm, would you recant that statement if I had proof?
@Archangel777Catholic I will trust the One that the Bible tells me to trust- Jesus Christ.
Pls tell us- is a priest that is a secret pedophile able to forgive the sins of others? Is he able to forgive himself of his sins?
Matt 7:21 To call on and accept Jesus is to follow His Commandments as a matter of course. Calling on His name and not following the rules and living as one wishes is lying. This was explained to you previously but obviously did not penetrate the wall.
@hiyosilver100 Stop with the [few] pedophile priests. Now. I am tired of the poorly formulated ad hominem arguments that only weaken your already lethargic case. Please, do yourself a favor and take some time to find Protestantism in the Bible and I promise, I will convert immediately.
Or, to avoid wasting more of your and my time, I can tell you right now, you won't find it anywhere.
Catholicsim is the one true religion based on the WHOLE Bible and ALL of its principles.
@amy2x "Pedophile priests" Ha, you say that as though the incorrect actions of few men account for the entire Church body of Catholicism. And if you want to weakly argue ad hominem, please, look at reformation do t com for a mintue or two and be enlightened.
@Archangel777Catholic Historically, the pedo priests get transferred and the victims paid large amounts of money or are threatened with ex-communication. Few are brought to justice. Some papal letters seem to sanction and protect them.
@hiyosilver100 Regrettably, some of the cases are not dealt with as they should, however, why do we never hear of Protestant pedophiles? Have you looked in the news? Look at reformation do t com if you don't believe me.
@hiyosilver100 When ALL of the Protestant denominations that are harboring and hiding their own pedophile "ministers" come out and inform the public of such and apologize to the Catholic Church for their persecution of its few such leaders, then we can come to an accord such as you speak of.
@Archangel777Catholic My pleasure. Please see my response to hiyosilver100of a few minutes ago. You will see that his/her self interpretation of the Bible ( which is forbidden-2 Peter 1:20 ) just makes for confusion and apostasy. May the Peace of Our Risen Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours this Advent and Christmas Season.
@monkigun Sorry. Many of us see that it is you that is doing the self-interpretation of the scriptures and not him. You should dwell on 2 Peter and take it to heart. The RCC thrives on confusion and apostasy. Take the Bible literally and do not add or subtract from it as we are told.
@Archangel777Catholic How can YOU know they were not idols? Even the Israelites under Moses worshipped whatever they could once Moses was away. Some may see the sculptures, etc at face value as inanimate objects of art. It is not obvious at all. Guaranteed - some goofball WILL worship the sculpture as a god. Not much prompting by satan is required for that it would seem. Happens all over the world today. God's solution? Ban ALL graven images in EX 20:4.
@Archangel777Catholic So, by your reckoning, the HUGE statue of Mary that the pope is photographed kneeling in front of in prayer posture is NOT a graven image and is NOT an idol? Curious delusion.
Do you have photos? Obviously, we all know that they are not held as the real thing they depict, they only represent and put your mind on what they depict. If you look at a picture, you honor the person but do not in any way worship the person, correct? Same with statues of Mary, &c.
Any Christian that has an idol is not a true Christian. As such, Catholics can still be Christian as they do not have idols.
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry. When lay ppl see the pope kneeling in prayer in front of an idol, they interpret that as the right thing to do. It sets the stage for the lay person to begin a wrongful worship. The RCC certainly knows human psychology and uses it all the time for their purpose. The RCC should go out of the way to avoid giving the wrong impressions. (Yes. Photos are posted all over YT.)
@monkigun Seems that you do not grok in fullness. How can you believe that God permits graven images after reading meaning into a scripture when you know(or should know)the direct words of God to Moses in Exodus 20:4Thou SHALT NOT make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Plain and clear! That is the contention. RCs believe what they want in spite of scripture.
@hiyosilver100 Why did God Command Moses to make a Brazen Serpent( Numbers 21:9) and Golden Cherubim to surround the Ark of the Covenant( Exodus 25;18-22) if as you suggest He forbade them? Why did Solomon furnish the Temple with "graven" works of Lions and Bulls if God forbade them? Since God's Word does not contradict it seems that your hermeneutics might be wrong but for sure your exegesis is mistaken if you think God does not permit Sacred Imagery since I have proved He does.
@monkigun Exodus 20:4 is plain and simple and is *very* clear. Any 'permission' God gives for making graven images was on a limited, God-approved basis. Unless new scriptures have been added by God in the last several years, NO graven images still stands. It is NOT the call of man to read into what God means or approves.
@hiyosilver100 Please explain to me if no graven images are permitted why did God tell Moses to make the brazen serpent-Numbers 21:8 And the Lord said to him: Make a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: whosoever being struck shall look on it, shall live.Answer please if you can. Or you could educate me as to why Solomon furnished the Temple with Bronze Cherubim, Oxen and Lions and more as described in 1 Kings 7 if God forbade them? Can you answer that for me please?
@monkigun You should certainly should know that neither "I" nor any man can answer WHY God said or did something.
I DO know what He tells us in the Bible and try to discern and follow as best as I can. NO graven images is clear for me but apparently you have a problem in recognizing and understanding that simple verse of EX 20 and 4. Ooops. Forgot again that that part was removed / changed in the RCC version of the Bible. Lots of money in selling statues, eh?
@hiyosilver100 Since God COMMANDS Moses to make graven images of a serpent and Golden Cherubim to surround the Ark of the Covenant AFTER Exodus 20 and Good King Solomon who was selected by God to rule fills the Holy Temple with Graven Images AFTER you claim God forbids it and since God does not contradict Himself in Sacred Scripture then it must be YOU that have it wrong.- not God ,nor Solomon , nor the Holy Church. Your forbidden self interpretation of the Bible has failed you.
@monkigun What God does God does.Because he commanded someone to perform an exception does NOT change the initial command to the rest of us. Self-interpretaion is clearly evident in one of us.
Reading meaning into and making personal assumptions of verses is a dangerous thing.
@hiyosilver100 2 peter 1 :20 Understanding this first: That no prophecy of scripture is made by private interpretation. -- Pretty Clear Apostolic teaching and The Written Word Of God to boot! I hear the Gospel and I believe and I obey .
@monkigun Oh, but the catholic version of the 10 commandments conveniently leaves the part about having NO graven images out of their list! Where did I hear before....oh, yeah! He that adds or takes away from the scriptures will surely be condemned.
@monkigun It is God speaking through Paul and is one of the God-approved exceptions. It does not invalidate Jesus telling us to call no man father- there is but One Father.
@amy2x Amy, if I can disagree a bit- the RC hierarchy may worship satan, but the average catholic member is of good heart, loves Jesus but is greatly deceived.
@hiyosilver100 I disagree. Worshiping false gods like Marry and saints is not love of Jesus. I agree there is deception involved. Thanks for your opinion though.
@amy2x I fully agree that some (many?) RC members go overboard and do 'worship' Mary and others contrary to what the Bible tells us. Most RC members follow blindly and do not bother to read the Bible for themselves. Deceived - Yes but I think they will be held to answer personally one day shortly. The vatican is way off base in identifying Mary as the intercessor / co-redemptrix with Jesus.
@hiyosilver100 Catholic Mary is actually a Pagan goddess called "The Queen of Heaven". Catholics do refer to her as this. Many religions also worship "The Queen of Heaven" but use a different name. Jesus is depicted as dead and crucified by Catholics. goddess Mary and the god saints are depicted as alive.
@amy2x Agreed. The 'miracles' at the apparition sites can be demonic deceptions. Some seem to be genuine 'God-approved' but satan is a great liar / deceiver. Since the apparitions are not Biblical, I remain skeptical over any interaction of Mary as we should. What is your take on Angel assistance?
@hiyosilver100 But why would the apparitions denounce Satan? He is a prideful creature, he would never try to harm his own vile name. I say vile so that you know I have no respect for him and so that you can accurately conclude that I am not a Satanist despite my Catholic religion.
@Archangel777Catholic Personally-the jury is still out for me with some of the apparitions bcause they*do*seem genuine with good message&purpose. However, satan will do what it takes to set up his grand deception. Best to remain skeptical as there is no indication of the apparitions in the Bible. I am still officially RC myself and no-I do not think that you are satanic no matter what tag you accept. If an item is Biblical - go with it. Too much at stake to follow mere men.
@amy2x Mary is reffered to as such because of her position as Mother of God. Thus is NOT to say that Mary is higher or even equal to God, using syllogistic logic (Jesus=God, Mary is mother of Jesus, ergo Mary is mother of God), we can accurately determine where the title comes from.
Who else could be the women clothed with the sun and crowned with the stars in Revelation? That is a serious question by the way, who do you suppose it is?
@Archangel777Catholic The vatican does call Mary"Queen of Heaven".And many popes are seen kneeling in petition in front of"Mary"graven images. There is no Biblical reference to that with only pagan references to a queen of heaven evident.I agree that she has a special place but is not an intermediary w/ Jesus.Just as priests are not a Biblical intermediary when it comes to asking for forgiveness for sins. A whole new discussion but we are told to NOT pray to dead people.
@hiyosilver100 We are told to pray for the dead actually, sadly, the book of Macchabees was heinously removed by the infamous de-former Martin Luther. Please send me a private message with your email (if you don't mind) and I can send you a very brief summary of Catholic beliefs relying only on Scripture (even though sola Scriptura is ironically nowhere in the Bible).
@Archangel777Catholic Semantics? Pray FOR the dead for their benefit. NOT pray TO the dead for filling of our personal reasons. I don't need a summary of RC beliefs, thank you very much. I have the ruler scars to prove 8 years of 'summary' by a catechism rather than a Bible.
@hiyosilver100 Nowhere does the Church say "pray to", anybody that prays TO anything other than God is not Catholic. We pray for them and ask them to pray for us. Those ruler scars are probably the result of not paying attention well enough to learn such things as this and instead falling into misconceptions and false ideas such as sola Scriptura which is NOWHERE in the Bible.
@Archangel777Catholic Most of the kids-boys and girls-were subject to the ruler. They came out so fast,we thought they were hidden in custom fitted holsters. But no.It was because I WAS paying attention and had too many questions. Not all of us were amenable to misinformation. In 8 years of religious instruction, not once was a Bible in the classroom let alone cracked for the true answers. So, you are saying we should not follow only the scriptures and follow the words of man?
@Archangel777Catholic I need to disagree with your last sentence. We are told emphatically not to ADD TO or take away from the words of the Scripture. ONLY the Bible! And the oldest and most accurately translated that we can find. Today's vastly changed and copyrighted versions are NOT to be used.
@hiyosilver100 Exactly, do not take away. What did Martin Luther think he was doing when he pulled out Macchabees, Sirach, and such? Look at the books of the Vulgate and you will see that the Coucnil of Trent did not add books to the Bible as many Prots. so largely and fallaciously and almost idiotically believe.
Yes- serious mystery. I have seen reasonable videos outlining the Virgo Constellation as the woman clothed with the sun, etc....Some things we won't know until we are on the other side, it would seem.

janole3711 2 months ago
@janole3711 The beast is the system of the anti-christ that Vatican commands. It is the small horn in daniel´s prophecy symbolizing kingdoms,it´s the small kingdom and different from the others. When the anti-christ appears pope will certainly recognize him as the real God leading people to his lies. They will discredit the Bible since they pretend to represent the real church and present this new version of christ. That´s why they say the first beast gives all power to the second one.
THOMAZ1DNA 1 month ago
@janole3711 After presenting a new age fake christ people will think that the real Jesus was a lie and at some point I think they will destroy Vatican after it served the purpose of making people believe the anti-christ and the New World Order.
Everything in catholicism is an appostae message of the Bible, including these mary apparitions that are satanic,it gives the impression vatican has been invaded by satan a few decades ago,it hasn´t. It has always been a satanic deception.

@amy2x Just to be a thorn in your side (and for my edification) : ) Angels are not 'dead people' and are given the task of ministering to man. Is it right and proper to petition them to... well, say- keep us safe? There are many reports of Angels assisting people at traffic accidents, etc.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Bible say to pray to God in Jesus name. God does not want us speaking/praying to Angels. Certainly if they appeared in Human form it would be OK to speak to them but people never realize at the time that the person was Angel.
amy2x 2 months ago
@amy2x Please provide line and verse that tells us that God does not want us to seek the help of the Angels that have the primary job (after worshipping God, of course) of ministering to humans.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 We are not to worship angels.
"And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the LORD. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD." ~Judges 13:16
Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ~Colossians 2:18
amy2x 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 In the first verse, the angel that appeared to Manoah told him not to offer a burnt offering to them, but unto the Lord.Paul writes a warning to the church at Colosse not to worship angels. In Revelation, the angel tells John not to worship at their feet.
amy2x 2 months ago
@amy2x Of course. At no time have I mentioned worshipping Angels.

"Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God." ~Revelation 22:9
Please Worship God! He will disperse Angels to where they are needed.

Only through the Holy Church can one give Glory to God in the Highest for it is the Sacrament of Salvation which was instituted by Jesus Christ for our Salvation. Jesus Christ is the first and the last and everything in between in the Holy Church and we obey Him . Peace!
monkigun 3 months ago
@monkigun monk, pls read the Bible - preferably the King James but you will see inconsistancies even in the Douay/Reims - and compare the scriptures with the RC practises. The Bible is explicit in some areas (call no man "father", do not pray repitious like the heathens and much more) that are ignored by the RC. Compare the Commandments (make no graven images, etc). There is a reason that the RC discourages reading of the Bible (under penalty of death at one time in history).
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 "Do not pray repititously" True in certain cases, only when you believe that they make you pious and better than others.
PLEASE look up ALL of these (NKJV, KJV, whatever version) with repetitive prayer in mind and you may realize your (completely understandable) mistake:
Matthew 26:44
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Revelation 4:8
If you do not bother looking them up, you merely admit that your idea might not be able to hold up against Scripture. God bless.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic I stand by what I said. One of us is making a mistake and misreading. Of course, our same prayers can & will be repeated. Example of what is NOT sanctioned: We were taught in RC grade school to repeat My Jesus Mercy or Lord Have Mercy, etc nearly endlessly as well as other "prayers" that are total nonsense.
If we have a 'request' we need to say it as if we are talking to a friend with a personal relationship. Not mindlessly repeat inane words.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 The fault is yours and yours alone if they are inane. Find meaning in the mesage of the prayer and it will be loved by God. Really must go now, sorry. Of course though, the Catholic Church says personal prayers are great as well. God bless.
-Adam Villegas, Arch.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry, inane repetition is inane repetition. If there is meaning in the prayer- yes. I agree. Repeating the same heartfelt petitions is fully proper.
Otherwise, we are told to avoid praying like the heathens.
What is important is the personal relationship with God/Jesus. How would a friend react if someone would ask Give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some ice cream, give me some.....ad infinitum???
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 However, the difference is that anything you ask the Lord will be received and "ad infinitum" is nothing to Chrost because the Lord has no concept of time because 1000 years is like a day and a day like a 1000 years.
"Avoid repetitive prayer like the heathens" differs GREATLY from "avoid repetitive prayer". Please think this topic over and pray about it. God bless.

@hiyosilver100 I assure you Catholics read and understand the Bible. When you say call no man Father -what about Paul saying He is our Father in 1 Cor 4;15? Either your exegesis is wrong or Paul is wrong. We believe Paul is right. And We believe that God permits graven Images such as the bronze serpent He ordered Moses to make (Numbers 21:8) and the Golden Cherubim that bracketed the oracle ( Exodus 25:18) and the Molten Sea in the Temple with the 12 bronze oxen ( 1Kings 7 ) Peace
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun Thank you for the help. Do Protestants actually believe that they are graven images? Do they really think that Giod would order the height of hypocrisy with graven images (on the Ark of the Covenant) containing the Commandments which prohibitied graven images? Obviously, they were not idols and so the Catholic images are not either.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Luther was a Protestant and still worshiped Mary. I am just a Christian. That is all. Catholicism is a false belief. A true Christian with the Help of the Holy spirit can understand the scriptures. I don't need pedophile priest telling me how and what to believe. Catholicisms is fear based and all about controlling you!
amy2x 2 months ago

Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic The cracker/bread and Wine are Representative of Christs blood and body. Catholics say they are eating the real thing. Catholicism is a perversion.
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” NO MENTION OF CRACKER AND WINE HERE!
amy2x 2 months ago
@amy2x Jesus did not say that the bread was LIKE His Body, He said it WAS His Body. He did not say eat bread in memoriam, He said eat His Body and drink His Blood.
"Then Jesus said to them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.'" John 6:53 NKJV

The King James Bible(not NKJV)has preserved the Words of God for this generation (Psalm 12:6-8).
amy2x 2 months ago 2
@Archangel777Catholic You are really funny (in the sense of peculiar and laughable) grasping as straws to prove what cannot be proven from the Bible. Luke 1:28 and 42 do not prove that Mary is to receive special veneration. She is remarkable and chosen by God above all others- yes. And, pls, there is no Luke 10:48 (typo?).
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Grasping at straws? I was under the impression that the entire Protestant religion was founded on straws! All I hear is "John 3:16" all day, and even then, they naturally use their faulty KJV translation.
Mary is "blessed among all women'.I don't know if you accidentally didn't see those, because that is special veneration.
Yes, sorry about that, Luke 1:48 says that all generations shall call her blessed. Hmmm... doesn't the Catholic Church call her blessed? Do you? Strange.....
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic "Call her Blessed" is a big stretch from venerating her as co-redemptrix.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 The word of God does not emit a stench! If you Read the Gospel of Luke you will see we are to call Mary Blessed !
Luke 1:46 And Mary said: My soul does magnify the Lord. 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Saviour. 48 Because he has regarded the humility of his handmaid: for behold from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. 49 Because he that is mighty has done great things to me: and holy is his name.

@monkigun Curious that you should use that terminology. Wondering where THAT came from?
As I commented to someone else-"Call her Blessed" is a big stretch to venerating her as co-redemptrix. Look it up in your own literature.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Yes, I know. It's certainly a good thing then that the Catholic Church has never held her equal to Christ!
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Well- you THINK you know. You conveniently ignore the daily veneration of Mary in the RCC and the many rosaries said that the RCC tells people will save them from hell. It is NOT Biblical. Research some of your own RCC literature that calls Mary co-redemptrix. If anything, more and more, the RCC holds Mary higher than Christ.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Apparently, you have not viewed this series&videos by others with similar yet different info&photos of occult&masonic symbols in plain sight in&around the vatican. It is merely coincidence that the Old London Banking District (which has it's own government), Washington, D.C.&theVatican have a pagan phallic symbol at their hearts?Should not the RCC go out of it's way to insure that NO pagan symbols are associated with it(much like the upside down cross?)
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Wow! That is so wrong! There is NO mention in the Bible of believers being required to be a cannibal / take communion in order to be saved. Jesus died once for our sins. "It is finished"! To have the sacrifice done continuously is doubting the first and only true sacrifice of Jesus.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 John 6:53 NKJV
It is so right!
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 How about the Words of Jesus Christ ! John 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 61.... He said unto them, Doth this offend you?
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun There is nothing in the Bible that says that a man (priest) can or should attempt to turn bread and wine into the Body & Blood of Christ. Many understand this to mean that unless there is full acceptance of Christ as the living man / God, he will not be saved. There is nothing in Jewish history that indicates any part of cannibalism is acceptable. Knowing that, the Jewish followers would understand about the full acceptance of Christ as Saviour.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Many people TRULY BELIEVED the world was flat too- but what they BELIEVED was not TRUE! We see in Genesis 14 an antetype of Jesus in the Priest Melchizedek as He offers bread and Wine, In Exodus 12 another antetype of Christ -the Paschal Lamb is offered and eaten- and God commands us to keep an everlasting observance of this. Jesus completes and fulfills the Sacred Mystery at the Last Supper and then the Risen Christ does it again ( Luke 24:30) It is Beautiful!
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun John 6:53- Is this another instance of the RCC interpreting literal and parable at it's convenience?
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Every instance of Jesus prefacing a statement with Amen Amen , or verily verily , or Truly Truly is one where He is clearing up our misunderstanding and it is to be taken literally. The hermeneutics Johns Gospel ch 6 is very clear - soma changes to sarx and phago changes to trogo after the Amen preface of verse 53.. Jesus knew many would not believe and I guess you are one of them. Jesus talks of eternal life in the Eucharist - ignoring Him puts your soul in peril.
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun So you say!
I follow the Bible, I mislead no one.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 " WOW! You will pass or fail on Your Understanding??? Good Luck with that! Reminds me of the David Koresh and Joseph Smith and Jim Jones school of thought. As for me I will rely on the Apostolic Teachings for understanding. One of the fruits of which is the Canon Sacred Scriptures as revealed by the Holy Spirit.
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun You are, of course, free to pass or fail on !someone else's! understanding.
From what I have seen, following the "apostolic teachings" is a sure fail.
Good luck with that! Open your eyes, my friend. Out here.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Saint Paul received Apostolic teaching from Saint Peter and Saint James ( Galatians 1:18-20) I do not think Saint Paul being taught Apostolic teachings failed him whatsoever. What is good enough for Saint Paul is good enough for me! Peace and Merry Christmas ( -if your sect celebrates it-)
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun I belong to no sect, group. I read and follow the Bible. Religions are cults and are satanic to one degree or another. Following the Bible as best we can is a way of life.
(I'm still searching in there, BTW, for 'sit, stand, kneel, ring bells. Sit stand, kneel, ring bells, spread incense, sermonize on the sme 6 parables during mass, as well as the mass itself, sit, stand, kneel...' they just must be some of those Biblical and not manmade traditions someone mentioned...hmmm.)
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 It's called a sign of respect and (once again) takes itself from biblical tradition such as when Joshua saw the angel and fell to the ground, or others kneeled before prominent biblical figures, etc.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Well I worship God in the Holy Church founded by Jesus Christ , ministered by the Apostles and their successors and guided by the Holy Spirit. I follow the Risen Glorified Christ who is the Word of God! At Mass Catholics sit when they are being taught,or listen to the prophecies, stand when they pray or listen to the Gospel and kneel when they offer praise and Glory to God, The practice of using Incense can be found in the Bible Leviticus 16:12-13 ,Hebrews 9:4
monkigun 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 During the Liturgy of the Word at Mass Catholics will usually hear and read along with An Old Testament Reading , then we will sing psalms , then we will hear and read along with a New testament reading from one of the Epistles or Revelation Then we will sing Alleluia Alleluia and Listen and read along with a Gospel reading. Then We will hear a Homily which ties them all together. If you attend Mass everyday for 3 years You will have heard the Written Word of God

@monkigun Your attempt to place me in the same box as pedophiles and adulterers and murderers is a failed attempt to discredit my comments.
I am very surprised that a so-called catholic/Christian would resort to such. Your attempt only destroyed any credibility you may have had. Blocked!

@amy2x then you would have read the part about you have to eat and drink the body and blood of jesus to have life in you you quoted the part of scripture that said who believeth in jesus should have everlasting life but that means you have to believe everything he taught not just take one quote because it sounds good to youi
williemetoyer1 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Perhaps you will provide line and verse specifically to back your claim? Confession to a man? Papal authority (who, BTW, is a MAN that claims he is God on earth and Jesus but in a different body. Blasphemy of the highest order?) Necessity of works to be saved? Wow....none of what you cite is Biblical! An open minded review would prove that there is NO Biblical basis for Catholicism. Oh! And, as you point out, it's an 'ism'. Hmmm.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 It would be my pleasure:
Confession to a man: Nehemiah 9:2, John 20:23, James 5:16
Papal authority: Matthew 16:17-19, John 21:15-18
Necessity of works: Matthew 25:30, James 2:26
All that I cite is clearly biblical, and from the corrupted translation of the NKJV nonetheless!
Thank you for pointing that out, 'ism' merely means belief, ergo, I have a universal belief, that is, I and all Catholics believe in the universally applicant Church that Christ Himself founded.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry. It is clear that you are stretching the verses and moulding them into the meaning that you want. Confess to *each other* as it says. NOT to a 'special' man called a priest who claims to have the power to assign a penance and forgive the sins.....the rest are in a similar vein. We are clearly told that calling on the name of Jesus is all that is required to be saved. What 'works' did the 'good thief' do? "Woman, go. Thy FAITH has saved thee."
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 I admit that it does not say a priest, but who are you going to trust with knowledge of your sins? Doesn't an appointed official and proffessional make more sense?
Doesn't "have the power to assign penance and forgive the sins..." Hmmm, would you recant that statement if I had proof?
John 20:23! Look it up!
You say we are clearly told the name is enough?
Incorrect again!!!
Matthew 7:21!
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic I will trust the One that the Bible tells me to trust- Jesus Christ.
Pls tell us- is a priest that is a secret pedophile able to forgive the sins of others? Is he able to forgive himself of his sins?
Matt 7:21 To call on and accept Jesus is to follow His Commandments as a matter of course. Calling on His name and not following the rules and living as one wishes is lying. This was explained to you previously but obviously did not penetrate the wall.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Stop with the [few] pedophile priests. Now. I am tired of the poorly formulated ad hominem arguments that only weaken your already lethargic case. Please, do yourself a favor and take some time to find Protestantism in the Bible and I promise, I will convert immediately.
Or, to avoid wasting more of your and my time, I can tell you right now, you won't find it anywhere.
Catholicsim is the one true religion based on the WHOLE Bible and ALL of its principles.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@amy2x "Pedophile priests" Ha, you say that as though the incorrect actions of few men account for the entire Church body of Catholicism. And if you want to weakly argue ad hominem, please, look at reformation do t com for a mintue or two and be enlightened.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Historically, the pedo priests get transferred and the victims paid large amounts of money or are threatened with ex-communication. Few are brought to justice. Some papal letters seem to sanction and protect them.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Regrettably, some of the cases are not dealt with as they should, however, why do we never hear of Protestant pedophiles? Have you looked in the news? Look at reformation do t com if you don't believe me.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic No doubt, they are there, also. In fewer numbers so there is less to report?
No matter the affiliation it is horrible and the perpetrators should be punished to the fullest extent. And not just moved to the next city.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 When ALL of the Protestant denominations that are harboring and hiding their own pedophile "ministers" come out and inform the public of such and apologize to the Catholic Church for their persecution of its few such leaders, then we can come to an accord such as you speak of.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic My pleasure. Please see my response to hiyosilver100of a few minutes ago. You will see that his/her self interpretation of the Bible ( which is forbidden-2 Peter 1:20 ) just makes for confusion and apostasy. May the Peace of Our Risen Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours this Advent and Christmas Season.
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun Sorry. Many of us see that it is you that is doing the self-interpretation of the scriptures and not him. You should dwell on 2 Peter and take it to heart. The RCC thrives on confusion and apostasy. Take the Bible literally and do not add or subtract from it as we are told.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago 2
@Archangel777Catholic How can YOU know they were not idols? Even the Israelites under Moses worshipped whatever they could once Moses was away. Some may see the sculptures, etc at face value as inanimate objects of art. It is not obvious at all. Guaranteed - some goofball WILL worship the sculpture as a god. Not much prompting by satan is required for that it would seem. Happens all over the world today. God's solution? Ban ALL graven images in EX 20:4.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago 2
@Archangel777Catholic So, by your reckoning, the HUGE statue of Mary that the pope is photographed kneeling in front of in prayer posture is NOT a graven image and is NOT an idol? Curious delusion.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago 2
@hiyosilver100
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Sorry. (Yes. Photos are posted all over YT.)
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@monkigun Seems that you do not grok in fullness. How can you believe that God permits graven images after reading meaning into a scripture when you know(or should know)the direct words of God to Moses in Exodus 20:4Thou SHALT NOT make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Plain and clear! That is the contention. RCs believe what they want in spite of scripture.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago 2
@hiyosilver100 Why did God Command Moses to make a Brazen Serpent( Numbers 21:9) and Golden Cherubim to surround the Ark of the Covenant( Exodus 25;18-22) if as you suggest He forbade them? Why did Solomon furnish the Temple with "graven" works of Lions and Bulls if God forbade them? Since God's Word does not contradict it seems that your hermeneutics might be wrong but for sure your exegesis is mistaken if you think God does not permit Sacred Imagery since I have proved He does.
monkigun 2 months ago

Can you answer that for me please?
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun You should certainly should know that neither "I" nor any man can answer WHY God said or did something.
I DO know what He tells us in the Bible and try to discern and follow as best as I can. NO graven images is clear for me but apparently you have a problem in recognizing and understanding that simple verse of EX 20 and 4. Ooops. Forgot again that that part was removed / changed in the RCC version of the Bible. Lots of money in selling statues, eh?
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Since God COMMANDS Moses to make graven images of a serpent and Golden Cherubim to surround the Ark of the Covenant AFTER Exodus 20 and Good King Solomon who was selected by God to rule fills the Holy Temple with Graven Images AFTER you claim God forbids it and since God does not contradict Himself in Sacred Scripture then it must be YOU that have it wrong.- not God ,nor Solomon , nor the Holy Church. Your forbidden self interpretation of the Bible has failed you.
monkigun 2 months ago
@monkigun What God does God does.Because he commanded someone to perform an exception does NOT change the initial command to the rest of us. Self-interpretaion is clearly evident in one of us.
Reading meaning into and making personal assumptions of verses is a dangerous thing.

@monkigun It is God speaking through Paul and is one of the God-approved exceptions. It does not invalidate Jesus telling us to call no man father- there is but One Father.

@hiyosilver100 Do you realize the difference between literalism and hyperbole/figuratism?
Do you hate your parents?
Do you leave your dead to bury themselves?
If not, then you must not be Christian! Christ orders it!
Obviously, you can see my case and understand that things like that (such as calling no man on earth father) are not necessarily literal and exact.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic What ARE you talking about???
Of course. You choose what is literal and you choose what is parable. Can't be wrong then if you provide your own meaning, eh?
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@amy2x Amy, if I can disagree a bit- the RC hierarchy may worship satan, but the average catholic member is of good heart, loves Jesus but is greatly deceived.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 I disagree. Worshiping false gods like Marry and saints is not love of Jesus. I agree there is deception involved. Thanks for your opinion though.
amy2x 2 months ago
@amy2x I fully agree that some (many?) RC members go overboard and do 'worship' Mary and others contrary to what the Bible tells us. Most RC members follow blindly and do not bother to read the Bible for themselves. Deceived - Yes but I think they will be held to answer personally one day shortly. The vatican is way off base in identifying Mary as the intercessor / co-redemptrix with Jesus.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Catholic Mary is actually a Pagan goddess called "The Queen of Heaven". Catholics do refer to her as this. Many religions also worship "The Queen of Heaven" but use a different name. Jesus is depicted as dead and crucified by Catholics. goddess Mary and the god saints are depicted as alive.
amy2x 2 months ago
@amy2x Agreed. The 'miracles' at the apparition sites can be demonic deceptions. Some seem to be genuine 'God-approved' but satan is a great liar / deceiver. Since the apparitions are not Biblical, I remain skeptical over any interaction of Mary as we should. What is your take on Angel assistance?
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 But why would the apparitions denounce Satan? He is a prideful creature, he would never try to harm his own vile name. I say vile so that you know I have no respect for him and so that you can accurately conclude that I am not a Satanist despite my Catholic religion.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Personally-the jury is still out for me with some of the apparitions bcause they*do*seem genuine with good message&purpose. However, satan will do what it takes to set up his grand deception. Best to remain skeptical as there is no indication of the apparitions in the Bible. I am still officially RC myself and no-I do not think that you are satanic no matter what tag you accept. If an item is Biblical - go with it. Too much at stake to follow mere men.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@amy2x Mary is reffered to as such because of her position as Mother of God. Thus is NOT to say that Mary is higher or even equal to God, using syllogistic logic (Jesus=God, Mary is mother of Jesus, ergo Mary is mother of God), we can accurately determine where the title comes from.
Who else could be the women clothed with the sun and crowned with the stars in Revelation? That is a serious question by the way, who do you suppose it is?
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic The vatican does call Mary"Queen of Heaven".And many popes are seen kneeling in petition in front of"Mary"graven images. There is no Biblical reference to that with only pagan references to a queen of heaven evident.I agree that she has a special place but is not an intermediary w/ Jesus.Just as priests are not a Biblical intermediary when it comes to asking for forgiveness for sins. A whole new discussion but we are told to NOT pray to dead people.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 We are told to pray for the dead actually, sadly, the book of Macchabees was heinously removed by the infamous de-former Martin Luther. Please send me a private message with your email (if you don't mind) and I can send you a very brief summary of Catholic beliefs relying only on Scripture (even though sola Scriptura is ironically nowhere in the Bible).
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Semantics? Pray FOR the dead for their benefit. NOT pray TO the dead for filling of our personal reasons. I don't need a summary of RC beliefs, thank you very much. I have the ruler scars to prove 8 years of 'summary' by a catechism rather than a Bible.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Nowhere does the Church say "pray to", anybody that prays TO anything other than God is not Catholic. We pray for them and ask them to pray for us. Those ruler scars are probably the result of not paying attention well enough to learn such things as this and instead falling into misconceptions and false ideas such as sola Scriptura which is NOWHERE in the Bible.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic Most of the kids-boys and girls-were subject to the ruler. They came out so fast,we thought they were hidden in custom fitted holsters. But no.It was because I WAS paying attention and had too many questions. Not all of us were amenable to misinformation. In 8 years of religious instruction, not once was a Bible in the classroom let alone cracked for the true answers. So, you are saying we should not follow only the scriptures and follow the words of man?
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Well, considering that the Bible says to follow tradition, I would say yes.
Please look at the below on Sacred Tradition:
1 Corinthians 11:2
2 Thessalonians 2:15
And if you are going to bring up Colossians 2:8 as I am sure you will, think again. Tradition and the traditions of men are two very different things.
But, supposing they are not, then I still win, I have two verses in my support and you would only have the one.
Archangel777Catholic 2 months ago
@Archangel777Catholic I need to disagree with your last sentence. We are told emphatically not to ADD TO or take away from the words of the Scripture. ONLY the Bible! And the oldest and most accurately translated that we can find. Today's vastly changed and copyrighted versions are NOT to be used.
hiyosilver100 2 months ago
@hiyosilver100 Exactly, do not take away. What did Martin Luther think he was doing when he pulled out Macchabees, Sirach, and such? Look at the books of the Vulgate and you will see that the Coucnil of Trent did not add books to the Bible as many Prots. so largely and fallaciously and almost idiotically believe.
