But what if you're 230 lbs., 12 years old, and need to do a beginner drill? Oh, and I can't do more than 1 push-up without changing positions and can't do any pull-ups.
@gamerfourm217 Do L-sits with your feet tucked, knees to chest. This reduces the leverage and makes the exercise easier. As you get stronger, work on straightening your legs out.

@ApexMovement Hiw can I develop an l-sit abs workout? Should I do a whole bunch of sits for time, or should I do sets of reps in which I tuck and extend my legs, or what? Thx for any tips.
@rmsolympic1 If the full l-sit is too hard, you can develop it by starting with a tucked l-sit. Do 3-5 max holds each day and you should see some nice, fast progress.
heh, its great im on a gymnastics team, i can use all that equipment because i dont have all these damn parks near me, just cement, which is not good to try something for the first time on :S and i can do this with my arms fully extended into an iron cross on the rungs lol
Is it ok if, for flexibility reasons i can't fully extend my legs and so i keep them bent?
pivotiano 3 months ago
@pivotiano yes, but work on your pike stretch so that you can keep them straight eventually.

I love your vids, many people often forget what parkour is, how you need to prepare your body for long terms, to avoid injuries and possible pain.

l-sit & v-sit aren't very difficult but you have to train for a month at least.

a 1-2 minute L-sit is a great goal to shoot for. Get there and you will have developed very useful and solid core stability.

@DemonDrills how are you able to put your legs straight out? is that a flexibility issue? what can i do to help that?
NDzibyrules 6 months ago
@NDzibyrules its either strength or flexibility. start with bent legs and over time, progress to straighter. work on your pike stretch also.
