  • ed why have you deleted some of your older posts such as the ghosted flames vids??

  • @oOsebcreedOo its just that someone on the airbrush forum was in need thats all

  • @oOsebcreedOo Actually I will be deleting a lot of videos very soon. All Kustom Shop videos will be going away and being replaced with House of Kolor from Coast Air Brush.

  • @edhubbs Oh? Ok thats too bad man, youre vids are a great source of info. Specially for the so called noobs on the forum. So I'm right that all the kustom shop vids will not be available anywhere on the net right?

  • @oOsebcreedOo That is correct. I will replace them using HOK or Wicked Products. But there will be no more Kustom Shop videos on my channel.

  • kserjfb

  • which color would it be cyan to purple or what color

  • @MrProCustomzI didn't paint it so I am not really sure I only did the flames.

  • where did you get the chemeleon paint at

  • @MrProCustomz It was already painted when it came to me all I did was the flames, but you can get HOK Camelon paints from coastairbrush(dot)com

  • Hey Ed i am an airbrush artist myself and i do true fire and im gonna do my truck and i want to know how much that chemeleon is under the tape and paper under the flames? and what is the name of the chemeleon i know that chemeleons have different names but what is the name on this perticular one?

  • @tshin8045 Ocean

  • @tshin8045 Thanks Ed how much does it cost and where do you get it? is it any paint shop or do you have to order it? and can you give me any pointers on how to do true fire alittle bit better than most people? because im pretty good can you do the chemeleon on any color or does it work the best on black or what can i get some hints? and thank you

  • im a bit concerned coz my air compressor is ment for pumping up tires. will it still work?

  • WOOOOOOOOOW!

  • wunderfull stuff you can brush. Cool work. greet D.C.R.

  • @DCRlive Thanks

  • Ed I Have wanted to be a custom airbrush artist since i was in pull ups just wanted to say thanks for what you do i air brush t shirts now and i am working my way up to

cars and bikes i use your wood grain tecnique a lot i saw the video you made on the woodgrain ss stripes and ive been watching every since so from me to you thanks

you and these videos have basicly made my dream come true

  • @4uway2fast Awesome,good luck.

  • Ed, what type of airbrush are you using? What kind do you recommend? I want to get one this week. Price isn't an issue I just want a brush that can allow me to do excellent quality art like yours. I plan on painting graphics as yours. Thanks!

  • @806TO713 Iwata HP-BCS and several bottles to change out colors. From coastairbrush(dot)com

  • Hi Mr. Hubbs, I made the jump from master craftsman to air brushing. I am going to master your style of real flames. I ordered your smoking guns DVDs. Got rid of all my wood working tools in the garage. Got 13 different air brushes a bunch of paints I hope they send me your autographed poster because It will be the center of my picture wall. Thank you for what you do. Garcia.

  • @garciarosa100 Never get rid of tools that you own man, because it takes twice as much to replace them. Just store them for now. Send me your address and I will see what I can do for ya.

  • Ed, Have you done a video on doing green fire? I just bought the Kustom Shop green fire paint kit. But there is only one green color in the kit. I was looking at the HOK green flame kit and it has different greens including kandies I also just ordered your Smokin #5 disc. Did I buy the wrong paint to do green fireThanx,

    cromy57

  • @cromy57 I am really sorry, but I no longer use Kustom Shop. I haven't used them for a year now. I will be replacing all of the video's on youtube soon. I use House Of Kolor and Wicked Colors from coastairbrush(dot)com

My apologies for not getting the video's removed sooner. Just way to busy.

  • @edhubbs Say it aint so...

Please take your time removing them, I get the fact that you have your reasons for the change but, as much as I go to your vids for new ideas or go back and rewatch to see for example, where to add more yellow in my flames to brighten them up (just yesterday), the thought of them being removed puts a big dent in my useful resources department

Not to sob on your shoulder but, ALOT of the other youtube airbrush guys suck, period. You've searched true fire vids right ?

  • @cromy57 Don't worry, before I remove them I will have a video to replace them with that has the same info in it,but with House of Kolor instead of Kustom Shop.

  • im just starting out and these videos has helped me so much:) thx keep them coming

  • @loosegoose82 Will do.

  • Does any 1 think a 100 dollar airbrush kit is a cheap 1

  • wat is the best air brush to use right now i just have a cheap 1

  • @hackett1001 Iwata HP-CS or HP-BCS from coastairbrush(dot)com

  • @hackett1001 Iwata HP-BCS or HP-C are good air brushes.

You can get them from coastairbrush(dot)com.

  • I am 13 years old i just got an Pasche Talon and is there a way to do this with out stencile.........Also how do u change colors so fast it takes me a will, i have to run thinner through it then still there may be a little bit of the color be fore how do i do this..

  • @kodyman888 Ya just free hand the flames.

  • @kodyman888 you can make your own stencils out of some paper... wont be as good... but yeah... works

  • i just started and ur videos have helped me out a lot thanks

  • @hackett1001 Welcome to the air brush community. And good luck.

  • is painting smoke basically the same but more grey and not as vibrant??

  • @mcfat89 I use a light grey and white.

  • Thanks Ed for all that you do and share. Thanks to you, I have been getting better with flames, because they are more abstract, but I would like to be able to do more concrete sort of work. How much of airbrushing can be learned as opposed to you have to be a natural artist inside? I was thinking of taking a drawing class at my community college and was wondering if that would be of much use to someone who is artistically challenged. Thanks again.

  • @Thundering34

Any training is good training. I wish that I would of taken some kind of art classes myself.

  • Comment removed

I went to Auto body school and I'm pretty artistic myself, when I start airbrushing again I'm going to keep constant tabs on your videos. • did you do an art course to get at that standard?

i am doing lvl 3 paint refinishing this year and we have air brushing coming up in an assignment soon..... id like to go into this side of things more than repair side of things... could you let me know plz .. thanks.

  • I do not have any training. But that is not because I didn't want to I just never did for some reason. I am going to take a couple of air brush classes next summer from Corey Saint Clair at the air brush getaway events.

Just to learn more techniques and just because the man is a god when it comes to air brushing portraits.

  • it's great that someone with so much skill is willing to give so much back. didn't know you were into skydiving. i am a member of the british parachute association myself. i was on tour with metallica last year(i shoot their video's) when i first saw one of your video's. it kinda made me start seriously thinking about airbrushing. cheers mate

  • Thanks

  • Your welcome

  • i already have edhubbs m8 ive done about 5 different designs on a old white car bonnet but ive just sprayed it black due to the comment u made about whit being the hardest colour as a background on the real flames video part 1 thanx for youre reply

  • edhubbs is a great artist i could sit and watch his vids all day just to learn more from him thanx ed m8 youre great

  • Quit watching them now and get to air brushing some panels. LOL

  • edhubbs is a amazing artist thanx ed i could sit and watch ya vids all day m8 thanx again for showing us beginers

  • thank you for all your help and not being selfish you kick ass EVYL KUSTOMS

  • You are very welcome.

  • yeah that is the rule number 1-customer is always right. And rule number 2 when you are right then we go and apply the rule number 1LOOL

  • Ed,why did you decide to do the second set of flames in gray white ,not in white?

  • The customer did not want them to stand out like white does. So I did a test panel and the gray tone looked more like what he wanted.Since I was being paid to do the job we decided to go ahead and video it for youtube. It was not something that we were planning on doing as a project , but we decided that it was a cool technique. When we do our own video's we have the control of what color combination's that we want, but not with a customers. The customer is always right.LOL

  • Hey Ed, As usual another awesome paint job and a very informative video. What brand of paint? I have looked on the Kustom Shop site and didn't see tri color chameleon listed

  • The customer supplied all of the paint. It was Diamont.

  • I give credit to you getting me started on this type of painting. You make great instructional videos, keep up the good work.

  • Thank you.

  • Great video Ed!

I was hoping that you were going to come out with a new video soon... I am glad that you are still making vids for youtube! Thanks for all time you spend helping all of us out.

  • You are welcome. We have been occupied with our new Smokin Gun volume 5 video and now we can breathe a little bit.LOL

Actually we are getting ready to produce several more video's for youtube

Some new things for guys starting out to use for there clients. And some that the tattoo artist are gonna like.

    So set back and enjoy.

  • nice work

  • Thanks.

  • Another great video Ed. You make it look so easy. Realistic Fire has to be the hardest thing I've tried to airbrush without looking like a stenciled mess.

    -SgtM from airbrushtricks(dot)com.

  • Thank you that means a lot.

Our newest video coming out soon is packed with all kinds of different styles of flames to look at.

  • Amazing as usual. I can't wait for your new DVD. It sounds like a must have.

  • I think that it is.I have been working on this new video and Tyson and I have put our hearts into producing a 2 disk video that I think is full of info for every one at every different skill level.

Make sure to purchase our new video from my web site fullblownkustoms(dot)com it would be much appreciated.

  • Not famous??? You have 1000000 of views and now days that is called FAMOUS man... you are famous and the hero for everyone...

Love art and airbrush is one of the best.

  • Well thank you. When I am sweeping my own floors and doing my own body work I don't feel that famous.HA HA

Just a working man tryin to make a living and make enough money to pay my bills like the next guy.

But I do thank you for the compliment.

  • Thats the way to do it....by living it.

  • That is the only way that you can appreciate the good things in life is by putting in the hard work to get there.

If you haven't lived it you don't appreciate it.

    Just my opinion.

And thank you for your kindness.

  • Thats right Mr. Ed

  • Unbelievable, Ed. I think I speak for everyone when I say the time you put into these vids is REALLY appreciated!
