  • Awwww... your afro was too fly in that picture! :-)

  • "But hey, It works for me" LOVE itt! Yass, work your style! hahaha I love that. Whenever someone tells me, hey those earings don't go with that- I'ma just cut em off and say, 'but Hey, It's works for me!" hahaha awesome giveaway thankss!

  • Love the shower curtain.

  • Hey chic! Do a full review on the book ;-) LOL, Anyways, I love the Organix line, I co-wash with the vanilla bean -

  • Wow! That book is a must have, by the glimpse of it with the illustrations and pictures I can see I'd learn a lot. Whoa! Did not know the organix had such a big size....girl do you, love the puff. If the colour looks like it does on the box, I'd like it....do a strand test.

  • @splinta24 Excellent idea about the strand test. The book is the business!

I had never seen such a giant bottle myself. So funny, I saw it and looked around like I was on candid camera! It had to be a mirage!

    I love my puffs too!

  • I am loving the puffs <3

  • @ladyravengirl Thanks! They are my absolute favorite style. I wish I could wear them to work! I opt not to because I don't want to be confused with one of the students!

  • @thecreativelady No problem, I just did a video demonstration with it. "color lifting, pillow roller set" is the vid name. I hope it helps.

  • I like that color on you very pretty.Makes me want to try it...And just cuz we GROWN up in here it does NOT make it in appropriate to wear afro puffs lol. We just GROWN with it shoooooooo LMBORH....I can't wai for the diy crafta to start either I love those.

  • You should look into Naturtint. It's organic & it doesn't have any harsh chemicals in it. It's on sale this month at the Vitaminshoppe. It's great because it gives great results while not compromising the strength of your hair.

  • @MsNaturalTouch I will definitely look for that. I wonder if Whole Foods have it? I think I have a local Vitamin Shoppe. Thanks for the tip.

  • Your hair is cute!!

  • @flowerrmb thanks!

  • I have had that conditioner for 6 months and never used it. Got it free b/c it had the "try me free" tag on it. I was gonna give it away because of the protein but I think I'll keep it now. I got my book! Looking forward to seeing what she has to say on detangling. That's my only challenge.

  • @20pearlsNcurls Great. I also got my KeraCare sample packets!!! Will post a quick video about it.

I did notice that as my hair grew out from the twa, detangling became an issue for me too. The more hair you grow, the more you'v e gotta detangle.

Glad that you've received your book. It is an excellent read!

  • @thecreativelady I know KeraCare is probably pissed with me cuz a lot of folks requested samples. LOL!!! I have "embraced" finger detangling and that has been working well for me so far. If I didn't do that I would have half a head of hair from ripping it out. LOL!!!

  • I was going to order this book in the paper back form until I saw your giveaway. I waited and now I'm really happy that you did this video b/c I didn't see the colored edition. After your contest, I will either order the colored edition or on an e-book. I just saw BlackWomanScholar's post about the e-book so I might wait. I really need to use my ipad, lol. Also, I was just cleaning out my stash and I have two products from the Organix line.

  • @11zeaky I forgot to add this: Your hair is banging. I'm older than you and I love the puffs. They are super cute for you and I'm really excited about the color. I know you're going to wait and i can't wait to see if and when you use it. Have a blessed Wednesday :)

  • @11zeaky I love my puffs. I am definitely holding out to color. Happy Blessed Wednesday to you to lady!

  • @11zeaky I actually ordered all 3 copies of the book trying to get the color edition; which is why one of them is in the giveaway, one for my Mom and one for me! I love reading on my Kindle and iPad but I could not wait until it was released as an ebook girl! I needed to get that information in my hands quickly!

The coconut milk is the only Organix I LOVED. I'd picked up others on a whim but did not like the fragrance. When I have a choice, I'm a big fan of the coconut or vanilla.

  • You and louloumatou have me very excited about this book. I contacted the author and she says they'll have it in e-book form later this year, so I'm holding out so I can read it on my iPad.

Did you see splinta24's video about a henna she used with really good colour payoff? I think its called Jupur henna, and maybe you could try that if you'd like to give henna another chance.

  • @BlackWomanScholar I just watched Splinta's video last night. I saw that she had some great henna deposits. I am a big fan of henna because of its strengthening properties but sometimes the color deposits are kinda hit and miss for me. Normally that is ok but I'm just "color happy" right now.

I was hoping the book would be available as an e-book but it wasn't and I wanted to read it right away.

  • ahh you know i am loving the book! i love love your new banner! i haven't seen that Organics line here, but i am making sure to use less of my beloved Dove sulphate shampoo and have resorted back to Yes To Cucumbers and of course my CJ Daily Fix. I do the puffs a lot too, hubby says i look like a little girl! aarrrgghhh i am so afraid of colour!

  • @louloumatou Thanks. The book is fantastic. I started off reading from the beginning and now, I started skipping around to the part I've had the most questions about. Love the book too. Afro puffs are the business even if we look juvenile!

So does your Y2C have sodium hydroxide in it?

  • @thecreativelady definitely! no my YTC doesn't have sodium hydroxide in it, and i am planning on finding out how bad that sodium hydroxide really is in cosmetic products, i have asked a couple of cosmetic scientists and i am waiting for the answers.

  • good to see you and I must get that book, your hair looks good not and it did look nice with the henna

  • @naturalNurgee Thanks. I was rocking a "brocoli stalk" but the color was banging!
