In capitilism, sure you may have poverty, but you have the chance to change it, to make life better. Communism, you'd be locked in.
But... How do we know if Mario has not let conquered it? How do we know that Bowser is its protector? Could he be SAVING the Princess from Mario? That would explain the frequency of the 'kidnappings'

Sorry, it doesn't work that way. When a business crashes, all its investors lose money. A big enough crash can disrupt the entire economy.
