  • amazing job! the video could use higher quality, but still looks great

  • Great!

  • that is amazing I have a few questions number 1. Will the code be open source? 2. Can the sun be dynamic as well as the shadows? 3. If you do open source this can it be used in a game? btw awesome job it looks amazing I have been looking for quality planet render like this for awhile and I love the fact that you can do that in real time.

  • ....are those active shadows on the terrain shading the entire terrain of the planet, or just what's visible in the camera? Either way, my mind is blown on the quality of work here! Epic!

  • that is insanely cool. Looks very good!

  • @InJesusBeHoly what makes you say this is earth? it could be alot closer to the sun, therefor a larger sunspot

  • nice

  • What program was used for this?

  • This is from the game Infinity

  • great job

  • Is this a demo, engine or a animation you made yourself? awesome please tell is how to make this in our computers please :D

  • Nice job! what engine or simulator are you using?

  • Sure looks amazing!

  • Is this for the MMO Infinity?

  • @TheOats : I dont think so... if not they should work together; their respective works are both interesting

  • Is this Engine available for download, I would love to have my team take a look at this, contact me please.

  • @petradog409

NO, I'm only asking so I can use this for my next game, or video. I would give FULL credit to this guy.

But I guess I have to do this myself, sigh.

  • I'd like to see the next flight simulator use this engine for terrain rendering :)

  • woa is this a game or did you make it your self? wow

  • Amazing!!!

    Nice Job!!!

    Keep it up!!!

  • Really nice!

  • great!

epsecialy the auto-exposure, i can feel the heat from the sun there! ;]

    keep up the good work!

  • Yeah, I can tweak the specularity to change the sun reflection quite easily, as far as the speed of decent is concerned: this is a tech demo not a game engine at the moment so there is no physics simulation, it just uses a free roaming camera.

  • Wow. This is awesome. Can I have the source?

  • omg AMAZING!

    reallly really good

  • awesome!

  • That realy impressive !! Have you already released a beta version ? I want to try that engine ^^

  • this is the best 3d planet simulation that I have seen in any program or game. what are the pc specs running it?

  • This is absolutely incredible. My only recommendation would be to get the water not to sparkle like crazy when you're getting somewhat close to it. It is almost like mipmapping is not being used on the water texture.

Anyway, this is great, keep it up.

  • Woow

  • I have a hard time understanding why something so impressive has less than a thousand views.

  • Now that, is just amazing... Awesome in fact..

Clouds at low altitude could be better I think, but how trivial is that compared to what you have done there!!

    Great work.

  • Very good! Keep it up! I'd love to see this technology in a space game.

  • omg i would luv it if we seeen this in Infinity Game engine

  • Wow, nice terrain. Care to share details about the generation?

I see no popup, are you doing geomorphing?

Loved the atmosphere and specially automatic exposure, are you using float buffers?

Cloud billobards don't look so hot.

  • looks good, that coastline looks pretty real.

  • Very interesting stuff. I'd ask, how would you compare your planets to the Infinity I-novae engine?
