akal takht is the supreme political organ of sikhism. bhindranwale was the leader of the holy missionary order started by the tenth guru the damdami taksal. the taksal and the akalis and the panth united in politics asking for equal rights. then shouldnt they have been giving this message from the sumpreme political organ of sikhism where from its best heard. the message was urgent and had to be conveid to the panth which was Bhindranwales duty as leader of the taksal. The Massacre of Sikhs in Delhi were NOT khalistanis they were normal everyday civillians men, women, children & grandparents. they were raped, stabbed and birned alive. even Sikh Temples were burned down and 25 years later still no justice. the only radicals are the perpetrators led by Congress Party

sikh brothers though i am ardent critic of 1984 riots but operation bluestar is a different case altogether....bhindrawale taking armed controll over Akal Takht in 1983 and his men brandishing guns at the holiest of all sikh shrines itself demeaned the sanctity of the place...he was a great preacher but lead astray by some political disturbances and took a wrong path of violence which ultimately had grave consequences...if u approve of him u have to approve of kashmiri insurgents and talibans.

Oe bhrava.. when ahmed shah abdali attacked the golden temple, the first mukhi of damdami taksal baba Deep Singh freed the temple with the sword and became shaheed. In 84 india attacked, and the 14th mukhi of the taksal became shaheed fighting. He was only asking for equal rights for the sikhs. And every sikh have the right to defend himself. Dont compare the amar shaheeds with taliban. They never killed innocents. This was funded by the state to hirt the kharkus intentions.

Ur first point: why not peaceful demonstrations? unarmed sikhs protested against state funded nirankaris in 78. 13 sikhs were butchered. nobody was convicted. there were other protests at that time. for instance about the punjab water issue and the anandpur sahib mata. also in delhi. Second point: about the holy shrine and political matters. the tenth guru talks about the miri piri. which means the coalescense of religion and politics which are unsepreable. being 5 takhts in sikhism. bhindrawale stooped so low that he used the sanctity of Shri Harminder Sahib as a means of protection as he knew nowbody would dare to invade the holy shrine....more he carried arms into the holy place and fortified it ....when punjab govt. showed its helplessness (mainly due to political reasons) in evacuating him did the army came into picture....this man was so low on morals that he used innocent sikh pilgrims as human shields and it is indeed great irony that some sikh brethren hail him...
