  • I dropped my phone in oil , now the speakers are acting up ... I tried everything .. :\

  • It's a nokia none of that was necessary

  • The question is, what if you dropped it in urine?

  • @dandgayle Eww Loll!

  • fcking fag even tho dat does wrk f ur fast enugh

  • That is fake phone. No phone says you turned me on!!!

  • i just bought and iphone i hope this fucking works!

  • @StockingsTube did it? i wanna know because my ipod got knocked into a tank of soapy water and i did this but i havent gotten it out yet

  • What was that u put it in?

  • You Turned Me On!

  • I did a stress test on an old Samsung phone and it lasted 30 minutes completly submerged in water. (10 minutes working and screen flickering and about 20 screen flickering and white, also vibrating like crazy) I let it dry for 2 weeks and it turns on fine.

  • lol drop it in the lake and do that again??

  • The phone was in the water for about 0.5 seconds... It would still work perfectly fine... Electronics can get slightly wet, but the moisture cannot enter the phone and cause the electronics to short out, or the phone would break.

  • try to keep your phone in water for 10 seconds, and retry.

  • well this bets putiing it in the radiator for a few days

  • what happen when u got the evo 4g

  • did the phone just say " you turned me on" ?

  • Toilet + phone = Fail Whale. -___-

  • @xXzbrianzXx I dropped my phone in the toilet the other day...did the rice thing and it was just fine.

  • Rice is Nice...

  • If you're an Asian, this would be perfect.

  • can beans work?

  • I lost my phone in the snow for 2 days :(

  • i just pick it up and shake off the water,,, but my phones water proof

  • @XEROPAIN108 this works on all phones, retard, and i bet you sound like a gay fag too...

  • hahahahahaha this is funny as shit

  • This is brilliant. I might add that a quick dip in distilled water before the drying process can help depending on the liquid that contaminated the phone. Often it's the dissolved solids, not the water that's the damaging agent. Distilled water has none of these and will quickly dissolve those left behind by a drink or by chlorinated pool water. Rice should be an effective and adequate medium to absorb the remaining water. If one could find silica gel this would of course be even better.

  • wtf he didnt even let it rest in the water

    isnt that the point??

  • @GAMERZOLO wow, u didnt even damage your phone.. u barely put the back end it water.. fucking lame

  • @XEROPAIN108 Shut up, little kid.

  • you look like you practice taking your phone apart

  • you turned me on ;]

  • lol you turned me on!

  • Rice have the property to absorb the water in a magic way. Also it have a nice property to scratch the screen :)

  • @MrEcaz I dont have rice.

  • this better work. my phone just dropped in the toilet

  • mine fell in the pool when i fell and made the pool fall and it got super wet

  • lol you dropped your phone in the water for like 0.097 seconds

  • i tried all this but the newer fones have this white dot that turns red the moment it gets wet and repair shops wont do anything once they see that.

  • worked for me with potatoes paprika

  • the man who talking sounded funny

i hopeit work because i drop my phone on my drink (slush puppie)

  • @Whatsername252 that happend to my phone. except it iwas an hour. i blow dried it reallyyyyyyy good. haha. im surprised it still worked

  • That phone was in the water for not even a second =/

  • @kbrockstar61 It's an example. Why don't you make a tutorial about it? But keep your phone in for a couple minutes.

  • @kbrockstar61 did u fix it cause thats wat i just did

  • The rice does not help at all. You can just leave it dry by itself for a good 1hour or 2 and it should work after that. These people with rice make me laugh.

  • I took my cell around 5 times in the bath while I'm talking. It turns of instantly so I just take out the battery and put it at a dry place for one night.... Tadaaaa it works again^^

    Was a Sony Ericsson W880i

  • @cookiemanic14 ewwww shit i wuld buy another cell phonr

  • wat if it was another elec.

    like a mp3 or so...

and its i didnt take it apart rite away...

    is it dead for good?

  • Your a Genius!!!!

  • wait there's water in my screen does it help getting the water out my screen????

  • @PADStudios Same problem i put mine in a container and out in the sun

  • Dropped my phone in the washer on accedent. It died bad

  • dropped my phone in the bathtub. =( my poor phone

  • The battery may be damaged, and the water may have become live...

  • rolf!! you turned me on XD

  • fag...most ppl if they drop their ohone in the water it would of fully submerged befor they could get it out...a toilet or instance.

    you basicly splashed yours...

  • I dropped my brand new samsung impression in the bath tub! I freaked!! Took it apart dried it as much as possible. I tried to turn it back on and it shut back down after a terrible sound. I googled what to do and this is what I came across. It really worked! No problems with it now. I've only had my phone for a week so I was pretty upset about having ruined it already but i got lucky!!

  • that what happened to me through the washing machine. After a few hours it was working and all but the microphone is totally fucked :( oh well 2 years of that piece of shit i think im gonna get a new one...

  • i dropped mine in the washer today i just got this phone 2 months ago i loved it its a My Touch 3g :(

  • @thejuji91 Then do the fuck what dis guy is mother fucking telling you!!!!!!

  • what the hell -you have to have bionic hands to retrieve a phone from a john. this dude just touched it in the water. that phone barely got water on the outside. what a load of crap

  • i did this and my phone still doesnt work :( do i need a new battery for my phone or is it screwed? any advise or help wud be nice :)

    cheers

  • the #1 and #2 problems with cell phones and water are short circuits and corrosion. If it's going to short, it will do so while it's still in the water, it really doesn't matter what you do, it will either happen or it won't. If you dodge that bullet, take the battery out immediately and DON'T POWER IT ON. Then, you need to get the water out to avoid corrosion. The best way is to disassemble the components and pat dry them as best as you can. If you can't do that, try a vacuum cleaner.

  • rice, however, is not a moisture vacuum, it's not going to suck puddles of water out of your phone, at least not anymore than would evaporate naturally. The only reason people think rice works is because it would work out the same if they had just waited for the water to dry on its own. I think I'm gonna make a video to put this myth to rest once and for all.

  • will the rice thing work if it has been a month since the phone fell in the water?

  • that wat my bro said

  • this works, got all water out my iphone, but it cant "heal" the LCD screen.

  • does the rice not get in the phone and damage it futher? I have a toco ultra and im trying to dry it out but as yet the touch screen wont work.

  • tell you what mate give it a shot, my screen is actually fully working now left it in rice which got the water out. after a day or two of use and charging over night a couple times i woke up to find my backlight was actually woking again!

  • Lol, thats probily a differnt phone at the end :)

  • yeah but mine was in the ocean for about 4 hrs lol

  • thats not true, the chip board will not automatically corrode. My LG Voyager was in my pocket for at least 10 mins underwater and now I'm still able to use it from this method. it works fine

  • I'll try this now to see if it works.

  • i wasa on the jet ski and got mine wet it mad me so mad it was in the air tight hting its not sopose to get wet there but this is working so far

  • I just jumped in the pool forgetting it was in my pocket.........I'll try this method.

  • my phone got wet this weekend i did the typical jump in a pool with it in my pocket haha but how long would it take to where it cant be salvageable? i was only in for a minute before i realized my phone was in my pocket

  • how bout i pod touch

  • What happens?

By taking out battery as quick as you can, the power do not go throgh the phone.

If it does, then your resistors and transisters will burn.

Then you need to get out the water. So it will not destroy your resistors and transistors in the future when you turn on your phone. To do that, you use the rise. Rise dry out all water.

That longer you wait, that better.

But the phone can still be destroyed. If it gets the rust inside, then the contact will be missed.

  • i hope this works. i dropped my phone in the sewer.

  • so did i lol

  • @cookiemaniac14 that might smell

  • @cookiemaniac14 How did it get there....?

  • @cookiemaniac14 "oh crap"

  • i d think it works on all phones.

  • if you look carfuly the phone isnt fully submerged

  • i just went swimming with my old SE K800, RIP... and now for a waterproof phone!:D

  • OMFG i did this , i put my ipod in a baloon and there was a huge hole and i didnt know, and i threw it in my sink and it leaked and it worked, but the screen didnt work, so i threw it in rice in a cup, and it works 100% new now!

  • HAHA same

  • notice how it was only in the water for like 1 milla seccond

  • Great! Now if i only had rice....

  • Lol I know right?

  • Vodaphone rulz!!!

  • many thanks SAUDIFBI , thankyou for making this video. My new N96 was in a bucket of water for 30mins. Thanks to your video, it is back to normal, thankyou.

  • hey do u have to put ur phone in the rice like right after it got wet?

  • does it work for the sidekick lx ? im scared the rice might get stuck inside so i wanna ask b4 i try it

  • huh...thats so interesting,no wonder other people uses rice and i thought it was fake

  • lol u drop ure phone it water its not gona be that small and its gona be outside ure hous and itle probebly drown in da water

  • thank the asians for the rice

  • How do we know the rice works? It might have turned on before the rice thus making the rice absolutely pointless...

  • no, it works dont worry, i dropped mine in a huge puddle b4 and it was like completely drowned and i threw my battery and phone in rice for the whole day the next night it was perfectlyy fine. :)

  • man you are a black nigge

  • it said you turned me ON!!!

  • what a poof

  • I forgot my phone in my pocket and it went in the washing machine for about 3 mins, it is still wet but the screen turns a soild white what should i do?

  • Never use a hairdryer, forces water deeper into the phone, short term fix. but corrosion destroys phone.

    Rice does work though.

  • my phone is a slide phone so pls tell me how i just dropped it 10 minutes ago

  • erm, if you dropped your phone into the toilet while taking a piss, trust me, you would not go diving for it THAT quick... you would probably try to get a plastic bag to put your hand in or something lol
