Although not quite the same my personal oppinion is Eric's got the characters spot on with the personalities and voices and without knowing it was Eric performing you could almost say Frank Oz is performing here as the voice and personality are so close.
The man who took on the performances of Frank Oz is actually doing a very godo job. It's in no way easy to play the role of a character, especially one so well known as a Muppet. The only thing he needs to do to perfect the performance is add in more of the french talk and giggling Piggy used to do when Frank was in charge.

BTW: The Muppets can never appear on Sesame Street since Disney can only put the Muppets on television programs which they own, like this (ABC --> Disney) or that time they appeared on Scrubs (also ABC).
I think it's so cute when the Muppets appear on talk shows, and the hosts talk to them like they're real. But for some reason, Miss Piggy's voice doesn't sound quite right. That is Frank Oz performing her isn't it? Is he a little out of practice?
@Angie2343 That's for sure. I watch the Muppets through different eyes now that I'm older. I miss the days when I was a little kid who truly believed that the Muppets were living and breathing organisms.

Actually, it's Eric Jacobson. Frank Oz retired from the Muppets in 2002.
