  • NERD ALERT

  • Just got back from Tokyo and stayed in the Khoasan Hostel Ninja, then Samurai! Posting vid soon. Thx Chris, did a lot of the stuff you said. Had a awesome time

  • its not *to ki yo*......its phonetics are toe-k-yo....i tried to look for a book at the library by saying Tokyo and not tokiyo and they had no idea what i was talking aboot....so i guess im wrong......

  • Chris Pirillo you have amazed me....:)

  • I wanna go to tokyo

  • Disneyland and Disney Sea are not in Tokyo. They are in Chiba. most of the other crap spewed on the ill informed "Tokyo top 10" is not only ridiculous but also shameful. Oh, if you only knew how retarded you look from people who actually are in Japan.....Thank god you (don't) know.....right?

  • Ha ha, people are dying... and im fine haha!!

im not serious, i just hate smug north americans who think theyre fucking invincible

  • @Obzy666 dude....just stop

  • Shut the fuck up.

  • Best thing to do in Japan: Seek higher ground.

  • @Maxwellwebb5 ,

    shut

    the fuck up

  • Uhhmm.

    Harajuku is amazing... I'm not so certain if that's IN tokyo, or just a trainride away (;

  • I couldnt find a toy store anywhere in Tokyo, but did see "Power-ranger" type 6" figurine crap at Hanshin store. Part of the series was mothra/gamera/other zilla creatures so I got those too. Theres a Toys R Us, couldnt find it. Few JP actually speak English there, other than tourist English or "Name, age, hobbies" chat. They LOVE getting their pictures taken & arent shy about exchanging email/phone. Met my best friend in Sapporo, she visits me in USA every 2 years. Nice JP name "Mari" lol.

  • I worked in Japan for most of 200. People in Tokyo were rude as hell. Maybe from dealing with loud British asshats for years, but we couldnt find a damned thing to do in Tokyo besides hang out in the Kabuki district. Osaka was a party town & everyone was nice, but was HOT as HELL. Sapporo was awesome; beer&corn fest at Otori park, drinking 5 liters of beer out of huge bong-like tappers (1 tap=8 jap, or 1 tap = 1 American lol). 500-yen bar has this beef/sprout/hash? skillet meal, best on earth.

  • shut up

  • Was number 10 intended to be Asakusa?

  • アニメを購入する

    or in English buy anime

  • yakhi kavi yakhi..

  • how can u recommend a restaurant uve never been too

  • remember when woody allen used to a bit funny

  • how many people in tokyo speak english?

  • @quimpio very little but i hear as us Americans have Spanish classes they have English so i could be wrong 13mordeth does videos in japan and he is a English teacher check him out he does motorcycle vlogs in English

  • Ah forgot a couple more. the Tokyo Train museum is awesome. (near Ueno) Never been to tsukiji fish market but I hear its really great. I agree about Akihabara, but it sucks if you're going without a bunch of cash. You'll want to buy a lot of crap. Don't go to Disney land- It's over-rated and very crowded.

  • I'd suggest a few more places. Yoyogi park on a sunday. Roof of roppongi hills. and of course...clubbing in shibuya/roppongi

  • I like this guy.

  • ....ur callen ppl geeky and im shure ur haten...bro yew look lika geek soooo u might wanna stop tlkn bout diffrent countries bro

  • i just got back from bangkok Thailand. it was amazing and i didnt want to leave.

  • sounds like hes sayin, tekken enthusiast

  • I wrote like 4 poems underneath a tree at Asakusa shrine.

  • After living in Tokyo for 2 years, I have been to most of the geeky places. GO TO TOKYO!!!!!!!!!!

  • @akashsrir tokyo is awsome alot like nyc but way safer and ppl r so great and genuine

  • Great list, I did that list when I was there last summer.

By the Way, your pronunciation was very good Chris!

  • you're kidding! his pronunciation is awful!

  • 'sounds geeky'...... look in the mirror you puny nerd

  • "puny nerd" ?

  • same with australia, time to return the favour i think

  • Stop all your goofy nonsense and just report on the new that someone furnished you.........YOU DIDN"T GET THIS YOURSELF...........so move along googball

  • go to japan and make points from there not in your office

  • Square Enix shop in Hatsudai. A must for fans of Final Fantasy & other Square Enix games. There's a life size statue of Sephiroth!

Too bad it is only open on Saturday & Sunday.

  • tobacco and salt museum at shibuya

  • Watch Madventures tokyo-episodes

  • The Imperial Palace and grounds

  • That's the kind of shit I would expect.

  • Akihabara pronounced correctly second time. I went on Sunday maybe 5 times and there was no cosplayers. They are all in Harajuku. What does sushi have to do with being a geek, and the conveyor belt places sometimes have amazing sushi, same stuff as Ginza except not a waste of money. Tokyo tower, once again, how is that geeky? Or asakusa, or Disney land? That was a really crappy list. Check out Shibuya, Shinjuku, Odaiba, Roppongi, among many other great places.

  • 私は悪い気はありません!Use google translator guys!!!!! It's frickin awesome!!!!

  • You are an idiot. I think you suck you weird little man. you are not entertaining. just tell the facts and keep your talking to a minimum. you suck.

  • The thing is with Tokyo. Its full of loud mouthed Yanks shouting their mouths off at the temples. Tone it down, and don't be so fat all the time!

  • Yes, the less than 20,000 Americans in the Tokyo metropolitan area are the cause of all problems. Not the other 12 million citizens or the remaining 350,000 foreigners. Moron.

  • Yes, but the tourist Americans seem to converge on the tourist attractions... you see where I am going with this...Moron?

  • Comment removed

  • Hey! That's a mean stereotype. >:(

  • fourwalls2007 is what happens when your mom is trailer munk and your dad parks his train in her gas station.

  • oh so im a dick after what you said. I should have been clearer earlier you racist.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh lord, the typical, "Japan hurts whales and dolphins" crap. You know there are countries that are tiny compared to Japan but catch almost same amount of whales? Your description about dolphin "slaughter" is idiotic. There arent many dolphins being eaten, and the ones that are, umm... so what? We eat all sorts of animals. Ever heard of a slaughter house? Tuna are dumb and ugly so let's kill and eat them, but dolphins are kinda smart and cute, so lets call it horrible slaughter. Hilarious.

  • Comment removed

  • lol, why don't YOU grow up and look around? Do you seriously think that Japan is the same as it was in WW2? It was a war, and now it's over. Get over it. And about the whales, etc. Well, food, is all I say.

  • @foranyonewhocares i get that every time i tell someone im going to vietnam on holiday....... some think there is still a war..... :S

  • y the fuck wouldnt this guy have top 10 things to do in chicago

  • As I'm not as geeky as many people are, I dig shopping in Shibuya. It's probably the most interesting place for a trendy teenager. It has pretty much everything a teenager needs, very near to the station. You have clothes, music, movies, comics, games, electronics, food and so on. It's a great place for hanging out and just spending time enjoying.

  • Shibuya is great but as far as a teenager hangout/shopping place, harajuku is also very kool.

  • If you ever get to go to China. You should DEFINEATELY go to 'Shenzhen'. Just outside of the train station there are huge shopping malls and all the shops are just electronic shops. So outside of the train station there are 1000+ electronic shops within 1000 meters. But do some market research for the prices and things there and watch out for counterfeits. Because they can see your not a local they would try to scam you most likely.

  • thank you

  • lol i could some how guess that they were going to talk about akihabara

  • No, he wasn't

  • Nice list... the cosplay part sound really fun. I like animes...

Akihabara is the one of the geek's heaven in the world, man... i would like to go Japan too...

  • If you wana see cosplay don't waste your time in akihabara, go to harajuka, also best on sunday.

  • I would love to visit Japan.

  • Tokyo Disney land and sea are not really in Tokyo they are in Chiba.

  • lived there already

  • drifting in nankou

  • street drifting

  • i know what you can do...... soccer

  • A walk along Sumida river past the crazy homeless huts (I wonder if they still exist or have been moved on) past the funky Bandai building and spend a bit of time laughing at sumo dojo past there on the other side of the river

  • Go to the 1:1 Gundam in Odaiba.

  • I really want to go to Japan someday!

  • Your not the only one!

  • What's a good alternative to the sushi eating activity?

Would be a bit dangerous for me, being extremely allergic to eating any type of fish. =(

  • i know something you can do in Toyko :) Drifting lol

  • another cool place in tokyo to go is the Apple Store! It's hugely amazing!

  • Indeed it is, same goes for the Sony building!

  • One day i realy want to go to japan its a dream.

  • Im going next summer :D should I take you with me? X)

  • Yeah take me with you ;p

  • Be sure to eat real fresh ramen!!!

  • Those are all good. But there is a lot more. Sinjuku and Shibuya, just to walk around the crowded streets. Fashion places like Harajuku and Ginza. Ueno Park Zoo. Odaiba water front area to see the Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba Seaside Park, Venice Shopping Center, Fuji TV Building and a lot more around there.

  • Dude, what are you doing on with the back of my hand? Get away from there! (slap! slap!)

    LAWL!! so cute...

Ah! Thanks for making this video! I know i will visit japan someday....but i dont know if I would spend 100 dollars on raw fish..can you cook it at least? gya!

  • 100 for sushi in seattle? Not sure where you buy yours chris, but theres a damn good place called Sushi Bay that makes awesome sushi and you can get a ton for 40-60 usd

  • How are internet and manga cafes sad?

  • i'm so gonna visit Japan if i like it (which i know i wil) i might even move there

  • Me too, I love the Technology and Especially the Culture, I mean who else has Cartoons like Pokemon still playing in Theatures? :3

  • don't you mean anime? there is a difference between cartoons and anime. anime is more mature alot more work goes into it and has a definite storyline.

  • I know, Its just People Reading My Comment who don't understand what Anime is would get Confused is all.

  • EAT sushi!!! its so good!

  • - manga/internet cafe

    - akihabara : anime , manga, cosplay, cosplay cafe, games, electronics

    - arcades

  • Yes, the Akihabara region is the best place for geeks in Tokyo.

  • MANGA/INTERNET CAFE!!!! Another great reason to travel to Japan!!! Oh and for non-geekyness let's not forget their Summer Festivals, their Cherry Blossom trees and their Concerts too!

  • Dangit I WANNA GO TO JAPAN!!! T_T I love the Japanese so much. I worship them. (Mostly for their Anime and fashion :D ) Akihabara is a MUST for Tokyo. Lol sushi I'll have to try that. Japanese rule so much. They have so much technology their. It would probably be a heaven for geeks. ^^ My goal for going to Japan for now will be Comiket. That is also a must for Manga/doujinshi lovers xD which is what I am. Nice list here!

  • I wanna go there too!!! but I heard somewhere that most Japanese hate America.... idk where and I doubt that it's true

  • some of the older or less westernized japanese people dont seem to like america but most of the people i met when i went were extremely courteous and polite,

  • If that's true, then why do you think they're letting us dub their Anime? ;) I hope that's not true.

  • Also don't forget the life-size gundam they have there.

  • Apple store and ARCADES in Tokyo

  • Everyone has GOTTA go to Fuji-Q highland!! Amazing place!! :DD

  • I've been to Japan 3 times, for about 1 1/2 months total time. You need to go to Shibuya, where outside the train station, is the most crowded pedestrian crossing in the world. 1,500 people cross the street every light change. Harajuku on Sundays is where most of the Goths dress up, again right outside the train station. In Akihabara, every electronic store that has an upstairs, has a porn shop on the second level. Just thought that was funny. Odiaba is a must, you get a great view of Tokyo

  • If you do go to Japan, I recommend a visit to the Bandai and Ghibli museum.

  • LOL @ the random song reference!

  • The police lolz

  • your american?omg!i never guessed :O

  • Japan's extremely beautiful; even though I haven't been there. I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to go specifically. I'd definitely go if I had some free time right now.
