i just got this achievement, very posssible with 5k hp and normal crystal progress (basicly your first run through it), used Lightning Vanille and Hope, Lightning main. went is as RAV/SAB/SYN. Went RAV/SAB/Rav when haste was out and went RAV/RAV/RAV. when debuffing was done. COM/RAV/RAV when staggered till he was dead, time was 1:15
Its easy enough to get 5star rating out of this battle, i had only my stage 9's filled and i caned him in just under a minute. Haste, bravery and faith are all you need to buff anything else is wasting time for Superstar achievement. Debuff was only deprotect, deshelled and imperialed. Its possible guys!!!!
This is possible in first fight with ophan 2 in the game, all my characters had around 5k hp and my target time was 3min 41sec and I managed it in 1min 38sec

@LynxDeath07 In all honesty, you'll just to kill Orphan faster. That's really the main way to get a 5-star rating. I got my 5stars well after beating the game and maxing out the Crystarium so it's not impossible. I wish there was some better logic/technique to get it, but unfortunately I don't know of one.
Sorry mate. Know your plan well before hand, expect his moves as they come, learn where everything is (actions, items, attacks, roles) and click them ASAP when they come up.

Keep in mind, folks, that you only have to five-star the final form of Orphen to unlock the achievement, so whatever stars you get on the first form is iirelavent.

for anyone who still is trying to get this achievement, wait till post game, complete all Cie'th stone missions get the golden watch, with max crystarium target time is 1:44 with eveyrones tier 3 weapons, and for less damage of merciless judgement have your 3 chars sen/sen/sen you will take 1/10 damage

PS: IMO it's easier to do this when you have almost maxed one of the roles for each character, I did this, and I 5 starred all the 3 battles, it's easier because you get plenty of time and you can easily kill him within that time.
Hey dude is it not possible to win if your maxed out because i hit for 999999 but i only get 13 Seconds to beat the final form. Which is impossible because it takes 25secs just 2 stagger him. How the hell am i suppose 2 get the superstar acheivement??
@jobrossuck5000 Lightning's Tier 3 weapon is called "Omega Weapon". I play a lot of games and generally refer to the last and greatest weapon a character can obtain as an "ultimate weapon".
So, you achieve the 6th ATB gauge with any character by equipping their ultimate weapon, which for Lightning is called "Omega weapon". I also produced a video on how to get the 6th ATB slot which should be on my channel

im curious, what if you have the gold watch(get it on mission 64) it lets you double the time you have to beat it in 1:12 but with the watch it would be 2:24 so if i used it would it still give me and achievement ? and also any tips on getting those trapezohedron?
@queolive When you first go back into Orphan's Cradle, theres is a 3-way split path. One leads to the Tesseracts (and Orphan). To get back to the Cradle, go through Eden Plaza to where you fought the Ch. 12 boss

lol i just beat him in 1 min 30 sec and got 5 star superstar. Used light snow and hope in that order. Started of with everyone a syn, builds them up quickly, i changed once everyone had shell which dosent take long with everyone a syn, didnt any curses on him, then made everyone a rav, once staggered used aggression to finish him off. Last move lightning did 99999 damage while he was in the air and knocked him to the ground xd.
@crocdj If you would have simply taken the 15 seconds and scrolled down some into the comments, you would have seen where I answered this comment. The fight and required time to 5-star is all based on character level. The higher the level, the lower the time.
You clearly had some high level characters and the game feels you should be able to win in a shorter time than I did.
What that sat to me is that your game says you suck because you can't win.
its crazy how much better your characters get in the 3rd disc compared to the 1st and 2nd i just started the 3rd and my chars are sooo much weaker than that
@airmil123 I think your equipment is also taken into account, although you were using two ultimate weapons in the video so that probably isn't the problem. Anyways, Midgar, if you're having trouble then try using lower leveled weapons and/or the gold watch.
I got impatient and wanted to finish the game off quickly, so I had like 5k - 6k on my characters and used Safe Subversion and Espionage on Orphan #1, and for the second one I used Diversity. I just got pissed off because the fucker kept. debuffing me. >:(

In response to my previous comment, I just remembered that probably happened because my characters were not as developed the first time (HP ranged from ~6000-8000). Since target times are lower that more developed your characters are, it was more lenient in the target time.
Think this would go well if I have Fang as my Synergist, rather than Lightning? Because I haven't quite unlocked Haste with her yet... I was stupid and I got lvl 5 in Saboteur first.

When you complete the game you get a gold watch, which increases the time target for a 5 star fight, gives you a few minutes, much easier that way.

You get extra time to kill orphan is you dont use their ultimates because the time is partially calculated by how many atb bars you have.

You can. After you beat the game there's a portal in Pulse that leads you back to the final dungeon.

Thank GOD! I'm pretty sure I can beat the damn thing, but I know for a fact I won't be able to beat it in it's first stagger... The official strategy guide said I'll probably beat him by his 3rd Stagger... So I probably won't get him the first one. I've just left the Xbox Guide screen up while watching videos to tip me off.

@blarghhboy it took me 4mins to kill the 2nd form and i only had 1 weapon lvl 2 maxed and the other 2 are lvl 9 lmao

@Palidor ill beat orphan by wednesday so ill let u know. Im chpter 13 (b4 endgame) Light (8k hp) Fang 8k hp and hope 6.5k hp i believe. I have power leveled like hell and have tier 2 max outs for all 3 of them. Imma use fang as leader. tell ya how it works out and if i get superstar achievment

A friend of mine got it at the first try, it's highly possible. I took too long myself and got 4 stars instead so I'll try later when I've gotten all the other trophies. ;<
