hi may i ask wha you have you 17 down for on your FAC i you can have 2 guns for the same job like 2 fox rifles and i see you have a 22/250 .
I have a 22/250 for fox and a 22k hornet for long range rabbits but was thinking of changingthe 22 khornet it for a 17 fireball but i dont know if the police will be ok with that. if you look at the factory ammo hornet is just a bit more power and it is a biger caliber as well so i hope thay would be ok with it what do you think ?
@alpha2p The 22BR is without doubt the better calibre - more accurate - more powerful - and more versitile.
I use my 17 rem on small vermin upto 400 yards - ranges beyond that I use bigger calibres. I have had a lot of experience with the 22BR BTW so I know how good they are - but there is still room in my gn cabinet for the 17 rem.
@SirSlotsAlot Thanks it's just that I found that my 17 Rem seemed to lose it's pin point accuracy after about 15 shots, but clean it and it would return, maybe it was my load powder or the rifle not sure which,? I also have a 6mmBr I think that is also just as good as the 22.br thanks for the reply.
I changed my 17 Rem for a custom built 22BR with a border barrel you should try one, you seem to have access to a range of calibres, any thing that is said about 17 Rems is bollox or so it would appear ?
@alpha2p HI I have used a 22 BR extensively. In the 10 years experience I have with the 17 rem - I have found they do not loose accuracy after a dozen shots - I have fire 40 rounds through this rifle in a single session and it still knocking the heads off bunnies . Maybe you just had a bad one.
you got that right. precision shooting and nothing else... I enjoy watching your shots. I do shoot varmints with my 17hmr and 223 . last time we went out there I took a coyote with my 30.06 ruger m77 at 300yrds the only diff is I dont have cam/video when I hunt and nothing to share. so I do enjoy watching your vids. thumbs up
