MCR are like my favorite band, and i love all there albums. But this one and black parade were defo the best. cant they be happy but keep the raw emotional feeling to there music like this one? gerard way <3
i heard this song oncec before, and i didnt know it was mcr, i thought it was someone else. so i spent over a week hunting this down, until i finally said "fuck it" and decided to listen to mcr on pandora and it shows up!
I still believe Danger Days is MCR sure it's a little more dance like and happy but that's just who they are right now. they are these joyful souls who have found the sunshine greater than the darkness. sure i miss bullets, revenge, and the black parade but I have understood that they just felt it was time to grow out of despair and enjoy happiness plus i'm sure they'll go back to their original sound in no time.
their first album was amazing... new ones are.... i dont wanna say bad things, i keep them back :D so i dont like new songs at all :S totally new way thats not their real style i think.
I can't even listen to Danger Days.. It's not doubt so different to the music they use to make... it's sad... they helped and inspired me so much through all their pervious albums.. It makes me really sad to think the real My Chemical Romance is dead...
To be honest, i absolutely HATED Danger Days. After listening to their previous 3 albums, with dark lyrics and songs of the reality of death, they switch over to this happy pop sounding auto tuned beats like in "Planetary Go!" I can't even believe it's still MCR. I think more people just like it because it's by MCR. If they found the album without hearing MCR previously, they would've hated it.
@SkyForeverGalaxy I completely agree with you! Yes, they've evolved. Yes, it does sound different than this. But it still sounds like them. It's still the same band! And as for the people who say it's too poppy... I have no clue where you're coming from. Stuff like Vampire Money and Party Poison... They have throw backs to old school rock! The solo in VM reminds me of Chuck Berry's Johnny B Good!!! How is that pop? I know I'm going to get completely bashed on this one though
@SmartWittyName Actually, I've been a fan of MCR since I was very young and I like Danger Days. It may be my least favorite of all their albums but I don't think it's bad. It is very different and it took some getting used to but that is who they are now and the songs really aren't so bad. They are catchy and make one feel good. There is nothing wrong with being positive. I prefer their old stuff (Revenge is my favorite album) but Danger Days is still good.
Na, na, na, na, na) And if you don't the MCRmy shall not only hunt you down tie you to a chair and MAKE you watch it but after that we will shoot you with our new laser guns we got for Christmas.
MCR's songs are just so meaningful. I've loved them since I was seven I think. It all started when my mom got Black Parade. As I got older I listened to them more and found all of the Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge songs and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love songs, too. Danger Days is also amazing but I'll never forget this side of them. MCR has been with me my whole life-- literally. My mom has been a fan ever since they started so honestly, MCR is apart of my life. <3
if i ever go on an epic trip over seas, over mountains, across deserts, through rainforests, to the wonders of the world, and to outer space and i decide to make a montage of it, this will be the song i play
This song just explains how I feel towards my love at this moment. Maybe not the lyrics in it's entirety, but just the emotion in this song. I always think of him. Best part is that he hates MCR, but I digress.
This is what I aspire to. If I can make one person feel the way I felt when I heard this song for the first time, then it was all worth it. I'm delivering my promise in the form of a post.
This is probably one of the best songs ever written by My Chem..probably because it has a ton of meaning to it. The lyrics and the emotion of the whole song is what makes it is beautiful. Wonderful ..I love MCR
I was in Junior High when this album released. I learned of MCR through some hipster friend (they were far from mainstream) and I loved it.
I'm now in my fifth year of university and I'm still listening to these guys (excluding Danger Days, I refuse to listen to that stuff). Some things never change.
@Falconiac I just didn't think it had any emotion to it. It seemed kind of forced. Sure, bands change, but for almost a decade, they were a true mono-colored band with almost an emo ring to it (yes, I know, they're not emo, but you can't dismiss the resemblance). The albums can change without the appearance, but no. Not this album. Now they're dressed up like Froot Loops.

@Xmaggot93X I agree their fashions changed and their sounds is a little more electro now, but they're still about fighting the system. On a radio that generally revolves around cash, hoes, and drugs I'll support anyone willing to fuck the system.
@Xmaggot93X listen, i was EXACTLY like that. i refused to listen to Danger Days because i saw that they had changed, and i didnt like that. i was in love with the 'old' MCR. but then i realised its not 'old' its just 4 guys from Jersey who wanted to try something different and step it up. There are some rumors going round that their next album if there is one, will be like their previous albums (excluding Danger Days). though give it a chance. It might surprise you.
@theNOTOKAYone : I don't mind any of the My Chemical Romance songs there all fantastic i totally am agreeing with you peoples give them a chance you will like it.
So much emotion. It is so powerful. I still have respect for MCR even though I'm not a fan of the new stuff, but the new album just doesnt have nearly as much emotion as this one.
Can anyone explain to my why Ray's guitar sounds so epic?
I don't mean his playing... I mean the noise it makes itself is somewhat shrill, In A way. It's hard to explain. I wan't to cover there songs. But my guitar sounds like shit compared to his, xD
@TheRetardedEskimo its called a guitar tone. its proberly a mix between the amp, the guitar its self and the effects pedals. ray plays an epiphone les paul
Gah, this is amazing. I'm proud to have it in my name, and I always freaking will be. I was a Demolition Lover, I was never okay, I was a Black Parader and I'm a Killjoy. I'll also be whatever the hell they produce on their next album. And the album after that. And the album after THAT... MCRmy for life.<3
Okay, don't get me wrong. I LOVE Danger days, really, i do. I just love Bullets more. The passion and the emotion and the angst in Gerard's voice, the raw sound of the music, everything. I'm happy that the guys are all happy, but THIS, this is who they will always be to me.
I dont understand people saying danger days is crap, it isnt at all, it is just different. gerard has said it dozens of times: each album is like a story. Bullets is most angry, Parade is under personas, and based around helping the dead move on, three cheers is rebellion against the band they nearly became, and Danger Days is like, "what if this happened to the world," saying that in a world full of misery and doubt, they arent just anger, but also happiness. Each album is bloody beautiful.
@lakotaeyes I will say progressively there got to be more and more songs on their albums i didnt like. okay just danger days. cause some of the danger days ones were a little TOO pop for me. but it's still a good album. not saying it sucks, it's just not like the old.
@XRulerOfHellX Yeah, I complete understand. Danger Days is a lot different from their last albums. I mean I like just about all the songs off the album but some of them are more pop-ish than others. But I do like the happier sound of the album. It just shows how much happier they are.
This song is 6 minutes of beauty. Not nice, pink, shiny shit that some people try to tell themselves is beauty, but depth, and honesty, and passion. That is beauty. If you have that, you are beautiful.
I was in high school when this song came out, listening to the album with my friend Andrew, when Demolition Lovers came on. Both of us agreed it was one of our favorite tracks, (Monroeville ftw) but the song ended at 2:51; he had downloaded an incomplete version. So I pulled out my CD and put the second half of the song on for him; he nearly cried.
there music isnt sad, it just has alot of music iand meaning in it, like real music should have.
they save many live because of that, they help people chear up
so be quiet
everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but just because you dont like them doesnt mean you should come to thier video and leave insults that sound like a kindergartener wrote them, just go and listen to something you enjoy hearing..
@arrow2951 You obviously haven't heard The Black Parade. That album is about living on even if things aren't going your way. Some of the songs are sad on there, but the album is mainly about living on. Also, how can they be happy if you're calling them names like "gay pants"? It made me sad that you couldn't come up with a better insult. :(
@DriftFee I have no idea. I like MCR, but I don't keep up with them as much as some other people do. I'm more of a Pink Floyd person. But that doesn't mean to say I dislike MCR, I just don't keep up with them as much :)
@arrow2951 Mate. You wanna know something? This song is raw. This is passionate. This is powerful. This is how music is meant to be. Just...Listen to it. Listen to the words. Listen to the change of mood about three minutes in. Yes - this song can move people to tears. But its movement in a good way. This, the first time I heard this, Yes, I cried. But that was due to the beauty. The raw feeling that this lot put into their music. They still move me with their music. Just... Listen properly.
i cant belive this is their first album! it is soooooo good and gerard was in sooooooooo much pain during the making of this album where he would bang his head as hard as possible against a wall and slammed the trunk of a car on his head in attempt of trying to kill himself and he was very depressed and stressed ... i think thats why this album is so amazing ... (PS: he ended up having a massive tooth ache) and this album was recorded at eyeball records and I LOVE THE EMOTION behind this
@yugiohinsanity right i kno but in an interview he said the pain was soo bad he was suicidal but not only for that he also had alot going on during that time (he was suicidal multiple times)
(about the drugs and alcoholism) "It made me suicidal"
(about the band) "This band saved my life twice." "Twice?" "Yeah, before the band started because I was so depressed, and again when I was an alcoholic."
@XGerardxxWayXmCrLvR he was in pain because of his tooth, thats why he was slaming his head on things, watch the documentary (not lotms, the other one)
Best My Chemical Album Ever! (In my opinion) Luv This Song So Much. Favorite Lyric: As lead rains pass on through our phantoms forever and ever like scarecrows that fuel this flame we're burning forever and ever know how much i want to show you you're the only one like a bed of roses there's a dozen reasons to this gun
As good as they've been, I still love this album more than any of their others. If you like Danger Days, that's fine. But Bullets is just their masterpiece in my mind. Start to finish, I love it.
this is my escape. i feel like this is my drug. it opens my mind. the songs never get old. the depth of the words and emotion is crazy like i can feel it witch its weird. and emo is the worst way to describe this. just becaus eits not all fruity and like justin bieber doesnt mean its "emo" j;uist because it has deeper meaning dosent mean it should be labels as dark and depressing. ilovethem wish they came back with there older stuff new is good but older is better.
@sararoxlol i remember something that frank iero said once that made me think YES THANK YOU THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLR FOR YEARS: he said "people describe our music as emo and emo always meant emotional, and if music doesnt have emotion than its just a jingle selling bleach or cereal" that was perfect
My Chemical Romance is my nerve medicine...This music keeps me from going off the deep end and doing things that could land me in prison for a long time...It's my escape from the crazy world I live in...
The amazing thing about My Chemical Romance is that they do completly different things in every album, and If you listen to Gerards voice in the albums it sounds different its like something new every time its very refreshing. One of the reasons I love this band. :)
First Time I listen to this. Halfway through the song, my heart STOPS.
Because that's the MCR I know. The MCR that turned into Revenge, then Black Parade, then the Killjoys. It's like, the second half of the song is just THEM. 100%
@thforever23 Because that's what bands do when they learn proper song structure. They improve. I'm not saying that this is bad, because it's not, but I honestly think that they learn more and thus get better as tehy make each new album.
i'll admit, I never liked this album. But what do I know right?
You have to listen to it, so intensely to get a meaning out of it, and i feel dumb but honestly, this has to be the most meaningful album they've ever made. I can't believe I never apprciated this before, I never understood. But this album is obviously pure genius. MCRmy forever xoxo
this song is really helping me a lot now. At first I percieved this song to be about love that has already started and one wanting to strengthen the bond. I now realise that its in a sense the opposite.
Who cares if they do go mainstream? They probably won't and even if they did I wouldn't stop listening to them and to all those who would stop listening to them you call your selfs fans O_o
I love this song.. <3

@ProfessorKeeling That's because the song comes in two parts. It wouldn't have been an incomplete song download :/

@ProfessorKeeling I discovered it in high school too and happened the same, wrong download and almost cry with the full version...

LIFE ISN'T THAT BAD CHEER THE FUCK UP.
arrow2951 5 months ago
@arrow2951 shut up
there music isnt sad, it just has alot of music iand meaning in it, like real music should have.
they save many live because of that, they help people chear up
so be quiet
everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but just because you dont like them doesnt mean you should come to thier video and leave insults that sound like a kindergartener wrote them, just go and listen to something you enjoy hearing..
good day
MYChemicalLyrics 5 months ago

(PS: he ended up having a massive tooth ache) and this album was recorded at eyeball records and I LOVE THE EMOTION behind this
XGerardxxWayXmCrLvR 6 months ago in playlist i brought you my bullets you brought me your love
@XGerardxxWayXmCrLvR O.O Umm, the pain was by an infection in his tooth, he was suicidal in '03/'04
yugiohinsanity 6 months ago
@yugiohinsanity right i kno but in an interview he said the pain was soo bad he was suicidal but not only for that he also had alot going on during that time (he was suicidal multiple times)
XGerardxxWayXmCrLvR 6 months ago
@XGerardxxWayXmCrLvR Which interview? 'Cause everything I heard was on LOTMS:
(about the drugs and alcoholism) "It made me suicidal"
(about the band) "This band saved my life twice." "Twice?" "Yeah, before the band started because I was so depressed, and again when I was an alcoholic."
yugiohinsanity 6 months ago

this is my escape. i feel like this is my drug. it opens my mind. the songs never get old. the depth of the words and emotion is crazy like i can feel it witch its weird. and emo is the worst way to describe this. just becaus eits not all fruity and like justin bieber doesnt mean its "emo" j;uist because it has deeper meaning dosent mean it should be labels as dark and depressing. ilovethem wish they came back with there older stuff new is good but older is better.
sararoxlol 7 months ago 3
@sararoxlol i remember something that frank iero said once that made me think YES THANK YOU THAT IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLR FOR YEARS: he said "people describe our music as emo and emo always meant emotional, and if music doesnt have emotion than its just a jingle selling bleach or cereal" that was perfect

Best song ever...Best band ever...I miss old MCR...The first album...Why they changed?
thforever23 8 months ago
@thforever23 Because that's what bands do when they learn proper song structure. They improve. I'm not saying that this is bad, because it's not, but I honestly think that they learn more and thus get better as tehy make each new album.
teamkatniss 7 months ago
u cant compare the last album with the firsts...the firsts are far better and emotianal!
darthd95 8 months ago
i'll admit, I never liked this album.
