Did he just say "Fy Fan" at 0:10, lol. That's a really nice lift. I hope to lift that much, that nice, one day. Won't be before a couple of years, I guess. (Currently 17 aswell).
Ah awesome man, I thought I was awesome because I'm 17 and squatting 180K... Which is double my BW though! Maybe I'll see you at an international powerlifting meet one day haha
Hey what's ur name. I haven't heard of you before. My bests are 148 173 and I just turned 19. Training at the OTC at springs. Have u been to any recent nationals, those are awesome numbers, and so young.
@robber90 From Norway? You're the next Svend Karlsen haha, keep it up. Glad to see someone with actually good form on youtube for once, I just wish you'd reracked the bar xD
people who comment on this and question the bounce of the plates obviously are looking through these videos DREAMING they could do anything close to this. bumper plates rnade for safety and it eliminates any uneeded fatigue from the intented lift. if someome were attempting a PR clean and couldnt make the clean he would be able to drop the bar without worrying about breaking the plates or themself. props to this kid. hes a killer for his age.
@cood2k7 that is a dumb thing to say, it depends what he is training for, if he wanted shape and size then yes 8-10 reps would be ideal, if he is training for strength or power then it is good to do more weight and less reps. You say he dropped it like a fag, you probably couldn't even lift it in the first place, so who is the bigger fag?
@cood2k7 whats funny is that this guy could prolly beat the shit outta ya! Usually... even ppl who do high rep sets like to see what their max is. When I lift, I do a pyramid and thus usually have a set at the top of only 1-2 reps and heavy weight. Lower ends of the pyramid are high reps and less weight... Don't you know anything???
@sevitup Or drop it.. because the flooring is rubber, the plates are bumpers, and he can rip one side off and pack it in half the time to deload from the rack.
Who gives a shit if it "didn't count"? He still squatted 230kg. No big deal to drop the weight. After all it is bumper plates who is made to... (wait for it) ...be dropped.
No I'm saying he is/was as strong as he looks (mainly because he is/was really lean so he had a lot of muscle definition). Most weightlifters are stronger than they look.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
yea then watch ronnie coleman a 300 pound monster squat 260kgs and see how difficult it is to lift off and walk out like i said in his 210kg lift,FAKE!! there are dummy plates in there
No, I don't find it feasible that you do the walkout effortlessly, sit down without really seeming to worry about the balance and then only have that little hitch in the middle.
It might be a heavy weight, but I find it unbelievable that it would be 230kg. Give us a view of the actual plates and do the squat again, it was easy after all.
exactly as i thought to,look at the 585 pound arnorld classic bench fake for 22 reps to see how easy it is to fake any kind of lift if you dont have bullet proof world recognition haha
@robber90 Haha --- I don't know why people on YouTube seem to think that gyms have "fake" plates just lying around so people can film videos to put online. Nice squat, man. Do you do olympic lifts?
@graroe i used to bring bumper plates to the gym and this idiot sales guy THAT WORKED there called them "air weights" because he thought they were hollow and filled with air so they could bounce. like tires.
@graroe heheheh agreed. it's rediculous and always amusing to read all those jealous comments. unfortunately most of the people have no clue about olympic weight lifting. it has nothing to do with bodybiulding
@graroe ummm they're called bumper plates, and quality gyms have them. they aren't weightless but I can tell you right now this skinny dude did not just squat 8 normal plates:P
hehe... Har bare som vane og kaste stanga bak meg etter siste serien i knebøy! Lettere å ta av vekter når stange ligger på bakken enn når den er på stanga synes jeg : )
