The song was not written for the Storm, nor Venus & Mars. It was written by me, my mom, Judithe, and my boyfriend at the time, Claude Gaudette. We wrote it for no particular artist, although Pat Benatar held it for awhile, and then Dennis DeYoung,whom we were working with at the time, wanted to record it. He switched labels, and it never happened. James Christian and Diana did the demo versions.Diana was in the first line up of the Storm called Character. She left and Kristina Nichols took over.
Can someone please explain me the history behind this song? I mean, I've alwais thought the original was from Venus & Mars, so.. is this really the original? Also, whos the singer, she is fuking AWESOME, not as awesome as Diana DeWitt, but i really enjoy this version, TNX for sharong buterfly7x7 :D
Good choice. This and 'Hero Of My Heart', 'Keep This Love Alive', 'I'll Be Loving You', 'Hold On' and 'The Last Time' are all AOR Hall of Fame calibre songs. Your version and Diana's (on 'Venus & Mars' 'New Moon Rising') are very evenly matched and eerily similar. I couldn't pick one over the other, but maybe that's just because i'm pathologically indecisive.
