i guess for me the thrill to mw2 was getting a AC130 of chopper gunner. The game made me rage but in a sense id come home from school do my homework and hop on mw2 with my friends.

For me i guess the thrill to getting an AC130 or chopper gunner was fun. I bought my xbox almost a year ago mw2 was the first game i got. Yes it made me rage a lot but in a sense. Come home from school do my homework then hop on mw2 (im only 11). its a fun game but when i heard from cod ex that mw3 felt like mw2 i was not to happy with that because i didn't want another mw2 all over again. Then someone said the mw3 at cod xp was a early build. so i wasn't gonna be that way.

this game is just too noob friendly. perks like commando and danger close just take the skill out of the game and i really hate that. i agree with thesaggymaster, every time i play, i feel like its a job now. dealing with all the bs, even on my own team in mercenary td. I REALLY HOPE MW3 TAKES CARE OF ALL THIS. though theres still 1 thing that i hate and will be in mw3, which is the host system. i guess only BF3 has dedicated server. if mw3 sucks I'm switching to battlefield 3.

I enjoyed black ops actually, it didnt really bug me at all.

WAW/4 remain as great games.

But the amount of attention that IW/Sledge placed on mw3 being a "Truly Balanced game" has me looking forward to the game.

Really the only problem with the game i have now, is the some of the players.

Or the lolbf3 is better people. (Both are different genres, but seriously like both already damnit.).

I stuck with MW2 the whole time. I got BOs on launch but traded it within a week. I never really abused any of the cheap stuff and would actually force my clan to not use anything I deemed as being too easy. We owned throughout and would literally play for days on end without a loss (SnD).

But alas. After 46days playtime on MW2 and 42days on CoD4. Im finally giving CoD the boot and will not be buying MW3. It just feels like a job to me and I just cant be bothered with it!

I notice you didn't mention the UMP, which you were USING. That was EASILY the cheapest gun EVER in CoD history. And the SPAS was pretty greasy too, although that could have been fixed if it were a primary.

Really didn't agree with most of your thoughts in this vid, other than the obvious complaints such as OMA, DC, MLC, and boosting. The way you went about describing MW2 was completely wrong and the "6 month life span" was just utterly and completely wrong. Me and 98% of the people on my friends list will stop playing MW2 on 11/8/11 no sooner.

All of these were true. But in the end there are 2 things I can't forgive MW2 for.

1: Quickscoper heaven. The ADS time on sniper rifles with certain perks ws completely broken. And with stopping power you were dead in your tracks.

2: Shotguns as secondary weapons. Unrealistic for a soldier to carry something that large along with another gun. And overpowered to boot.

I didn't hear a word said about how the Call of Duty series hasn't been good since CoD1 seeing as the guns actually had recoil and there was no lame killstreak crap to speak of, AND the netcode was good. I guess since you couldn't spray and pray across the map with an smg it seems to have been forgotten. Shooters are in the toilet because of bad players wanting instant gratification. You could duel for 2 months against a good player and not get a single kill in quake 3. Good times those were.

Great coverage as always Maxi, however u should also mentioned the growing numbers of underage players who constantly *boosting, trick shooting, and rage quitting on several occasions* because no longer COD was for elite players, it changes to suit more mainstream players who can learn to master the game in 2 hours of play time. This has got to be one of the most annoying thing ive ever encountered in MW2

hey max, have you played any of the Battlefield games? If you did, what do you think of it compared to CoD series, I wanted to get a new FPS but stuck on MW3 and BF3. The CoD series kind of went stale on me, the last one i really liked was CoD4. I bought WaW and MW2. skipped BO but never got really into them like i did with 4, and i never played any of the BF games besides 1943. one huge flaw i notice after going back and playing mw2 again is cold blooded and sit rep being available so late in the game. I believe the lack of these being available right away put many new players or recently prestiged players at a big disadvantage. Mainly cuz you couldn't really do anything against uav's, and or air support very well. You just had to hope one of your higher ranking team mates take care of them for you. Woulda been nice to not be level 40 to see the many claymores too.

Hey max, some things you forgot in this retrospective, this game lacked juggernaut, which CoD4 and W@W had, the introduction of controllable killstreaks, which help accelerated killstreaks even faster. Killstreaks having flares, which deterred stingers, the introduction of cold-blooded, which only protected from uav, but killstreaks as well.

the gunplay in mw2, when not dominated by the acr and ump, was absolutely tight as hell and very varied from gun to gun. black ops lacks that at its core. i fully feel that is the answer. every smg in bo can be boiled down to the 74u, while a vector feels differrnt from a mp5k feels different from a p90 and etc etc....picking up a new gun meant a shift in tactics and if you werent used to that gun, good luck

CoD4 was the best, I can not even compare the others to it. MW2 became such a camp fest due to the stacking Killstreaks that I got tired of playing it. Black Ops was better at first, but as soon as the camping began I quit it for a long time. Only recently have I gone back, refusing MW2 due to the rumors of hacks plaguing it. I was a knife runner, the most broken thing about it was the fact you could use a starter class to actually get it, and use the knife as your pistol kills.

In black ops killstreaks aren't as abused BECAUSE KILLSTREAKS DONT STACK. The average player could get a chopper gunner way easier than a pair of attack dogs. You also cant have 2 harriers 1 chopper gunner and a ac130 all at once in the sky.

Black ops= non-stacking kill streaks=skill to earn killstreaks= less killstreaks=less abuse

MW2=stacking kill streaks=MORE KILLSTREAKS=more ABUSE!!!

@pbryno I do agree with you, but I only made the same point regarding BO since things like the Blackbird, Dogs and Chopper Gun were exceptional. I've nearly 100k kills in BO, and I think killstreaks occupy around 40,000 of them. I'll do a highlight video of black ops later, checking out stats and breaking the mp down from my overall performance later.
