  • Hey Kevin, I'm really glad you made this channel! I love watching it and I find the information really useful.

    It's been about 5 months since I moved to Japan and with that move I just kind of stopped running. I've been really nervous about getting back into it because of how slow I expect my progress might be. But I went out and started to run today with the Couch to 5k program! I'm so excited!! :)

  • Have you ever tried ankle weights while training? Once you get used to the weight then increase it a little. Or backpack weight might be good too as you've noticed. I remember when I used to roller skate I'd feel so light after I took the skates off.

  • Running with additional weight is supposed to be helpful training because when you got to do an event and you aren't carrying the excess weight, you are supposed to be faster.

  • kevin, don't run in the rain.  too mushy, too slippery...too much a feeliing of a wet water rat. better to make use of the closest gym and hit the treadmill

  • Oh the irony that I just finished some physics calculations about why running through the rain gets you just as wet as walking :) Great job though
