Dave Lezmi was not from the cult , he was from LA, they had Dimwit playing drums , he was from BC and the singer and bass player were also from LA . They had great response but had tragidys. First Dimwit OD and then the The singer was in a motorcyle accident and never recovered.

    Nobody said it was easy

  • @flyyspit Our Heroes! R.I.P!

  • Isn't this the riff to Down Payment Blues by ACDC? And why did I think this was the band formed by Haggis of the Cult, who drummed for them. Did I make this crap up?

  • @decristo1021 its pretty close to Down Payment Blues, but has a few more chord changes. And when Haggis left the Cult playing bass, he switched to guitar and formed The Four Horsemen. So you're not making anything up haha

  • I have loved these guys since they first came out, I think that they were/are way underrated! This whole cd is really awesome.

  • acdc style guitar riffs. but still friken good

  • I had heard that they were all dead.

    I'm speechless!

Met the band when they played Front 54 in Thorld Ontario Canada

    think it was like 1995-ish...

Franky nearly punched out some wanna be in the club after the gig for copping an " White Boy Wanna be L.A. Gangsta Rapper" type attitude.

RIP Brothers in Rock n' Roll.

  • I'VE HEARD THESE GUY'S WERE FROM CHAMPAIGN ILLINOIS ? ANY ROCKERS OUT THERE KNOW ???

  • I heard James Hetfield of Metallica was a fan of these guys. I can see why haha. These guys are awesome.

  • @rockyourworld: NOPE! You are totally wrong there! I'm not any kind of

religous expert, or theologian, but The Four Horsemen in the Bible, in Revelations btw,

represented, War, Famine, Pestilence & Death.

You'd know that if you know the classic Metallica song right?

It looks like you've been Schooled! :) lol

  • Kickass song - luv it

  • A great band with rocking music. Its funny how life is.they deserved better.

  • @danshanshel dont torment yourself dude it happens that in life most of the people cant appreciate good things and what really matters!! ...they are loosing their time with stupidities according to their low level of expectations in life!!!

  • if its so good why i'm still broke!!??.....LOUD & CLEAR!!!

  • To me the This band is like a cocaine trip short and sweet.....Nyways would have have been great if they had stayed together for a little longer..

  • @devilive14 They all died except for one, so I guess they did stay together!!!

  • @ranite16 Actually, only Frank and Dimwit died. Dave, Haggis and Ben are well and alive.

  • Dave Lizmi is my friend of fb yeaaahhh

  • 168,522

  • It will go to 11, I promise!

  • rock n roll at its finest

  • Four Horseman is excellent rock n roll!!! They were not around long enough.

  • These guys should've been a LOT bigger. Sucks they lost 2 of their band members...................life sure is crappy sometimes.

  • Ken "dimwit" Montgomery, pure spirit of rock. R.I.P. Look for him on youtube with D.O.A., Subhumans, Pointed Sticks. Rock on pal.

  • STUPID BAND NAME

i thought it was a metallica tribute band.

should have been called the 6 horsemen. lol

  • @juker606 STUPID USER COMMENT

  • @myklj999 you don't know the scene. dumbass.

  • @juker606 I can see your ignorance knows no boundaries...lol...yes, I know the scene dweeb

  • @myklj999 obviously you do not know the scene, fag. otherwise you'd see what i mean, people on the scene said the same thing i did about their name.

  • @juker606 Numbnuts, I was listening to Metallica before you were even hatched...stupid fuck

  • @myklj999 no you were not. i was listening to metallica since 1985. and when the four horsemen people assumed they were a metallica tribute maybe. nice try, kiddo.

now shine my shoes nigger. lol.

  • @juker606 I still have your ass beat punk...1985 is a latecomer for a REAL Metallica fan...lol

  • @myklj999 no you don't. and metallica was only out a couple years prior to that.

  • shit just about to ask what happened to frank.. thats sad.. damn.

  • what a classic track

  • awsome tune!! I just got turned on to this right now!!!!!!!!!

I just heard an original called " IN YOUR MIND " by andrew gerbasi. A little mellower tune but cool neverthless. Have a listen and post a comment there and see if you agree with me. CHEERS!

  • i love this song but it don't get enough air play on classic rock radio i think its classic rock on

  • Did'nt the singer die in a motorcycle crash....and the drummer is Glen Danzigs brother...if I remeber right.

  • I remember in 1991 in Portland Oregon they would release a CD at a local indy record store and each Tuesday I would run out and get them. The Four Horsemen was one of them. What an era! Then Nirvana came on the scene and changed everything....

  • To think of the hights these guys could've reached just boggles the mind. This band and this song will always be at the top of my charts.

  • I expected metallica but this band fucking kicks ass :D

  • You cannot be a rock and roll fan and NOT like this. RIP Frankie and Haggis. God blesses his rock and roll angels.

  • @guitarnotfish Er-Dimwit died, not Haggis.

  • @plymouthdodgewrecks I know the singer got hurt in a bike crash and the drummer is Glen Danzig's brother...if i remember right.I'm getting old so correct me if I'm wrong...LOL@me!

  • @Gov502010 You're right. I would know, I'm Dave Lizmi's ten-year-old son. Yes, I am an excellent speller for my age.

  • @plymouthdodgewrecks You're pretty mature for 10...thanks for the link to the web-site.

  • @Gov502010 Thanks, but when did I give you the link? Maybe that was my cousin on here?

  • @Gov502010... Close... The drummer was Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery and he was the brother of Danzig's drummer, Chuck Biscuits. Chuck took over briefly on drums for the Horsemen after Dimwit died. Frank C. Starr died, 4 years after the accident, from injuries suffered when he was hit by a drunk driver on his motorcycle. Ron Young (Little Caesar) took over on vocals.

  • Great Great song........Love driving to this......Every time someone hears me playing this, they ask me who the fuck is this, and what's the name of this band......Long live metal.....Thanks

  • Great Great song........Love driving to this......Every time some hears me playing this, they ask me who the fuck is this, and what's the name of this band......Long live metal.....Thanks

  • I LOVE THIS SONG EVER SINCE I FIRST HEARD IN BACK IN "91 WHEN I WAS IN GRADE 10 !! FUCKING AWSOME TUNE !!!

  • @sohcsarewicked The first time?..Where the fuck have you been? Check out my channel for a real education on hard rock music.

  • @ 3;28 isn't it suppose to be "Won't Get Layed"?

  • the chords in this song sound like something ac/dc would play. they're like Rhino Bucket and Dirty Looks. bands that sound alot like ac/dc. the singer at least has his own sound. check out the other two and tell me what you think. Hmmmmm, Gelfling?

  • @mrbug825......... Actually, they perody later songs from "The Cult"...I was around at the time..I know..

  • IN YOUR FACE ROCK AND ROLL!!!

  • Someone needs to sync the UNCENSORED version of this song to the vid

"Your book of rock n roll MOTHERfucker I wrote it, git out"..NOT yeah buddy I wrote it...

The other is "if its so good why am I still fuckin broke"..not still broke

"Havin high powered lunches with the SCUMbag that owns us".. not brothers...pfft

"Gotta play your songs or you wont get laid....GIVE it up " ..NOT paid

This song is all about attitude and when its censored ( I know the exposure on tv and radio ) its lost..

  • One of the thing's I love about the '90's,..great music like this!!!

  • I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR SO LONG I FORGOT ABOUT IT.........FUKIN EH...THANKS............CAUSE,ROCKIN IS MY BIZNIZ

  • wow motley ripped the guitar rip off on their song "punched in the teeth by love" but this band pretty much ripped ac/dc's lyric "gettin sold, second hand, thats how it goes playin in a band" just replace "sold" with "stoned".

  • If you love ROCK........ Play It LOUD..... Play It PROUD.....

  • RIP Frank Starr - Rock In Perpetuity..........

  • The best of the genre have the bassline that crawls through the whole song like this. Still one of my faves, so it prolly always will be. Bidness iz good...

  • great band

  • This band had such Rock N Roll Heart!

  • i luv groups that pummel the listener senseless by using heavy riffs. I can kinda get Gene Simmons comment about some types of metal music is like being attacked by a swarm of bees, all those scales, all those notes attacking all over the place.

  • @ extreme.

Nah.Dunno about that, but we sure do a cover of this one that aint without merit. ;-)

    LONG LIVE THE FOUR HORSEMEN!!

  • Saw these guys at The Paradise in Boston 20 yrs ago. Great show I think???

  • Comment removed

  • one of the fuckin best

  • Fuck, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this vid....brings back memories. I still have the album on cassette. FOUR HORSEMEN KICK FUCKIN' ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fuck'n Awesome!

  • what a fucking brilliant song !!!!

  • The schooled comment is to rockyourworld1967

  • Lester ..how do they imitate Metallica in any way sir?

  • Don't like when somebody says I've been schooled.. It's just a good song.

  • any bands around today sound this cool?

  • @extreme469 the only band I have heard that sounds anything like them is Broken Teeth from Austin, TX. Saw them live a few months ago, very raw & old school hard rock.

  • Best rock and roll song I ever heard. Liked it first time I heard it.

  • dig this, i saw a vid called, "The Four Horsemen-Scrolls". it aint what i expected!

  • This has NOTHING to do with Metallica! Firstly, Metallica never wrote the Four Horsemen. Dave Mustaine did and originally called it The Mechanix. This band, who I partied with, named their band The Four Horsemen because it was an expression when you were all fucked up after partying you would say "The Four Horsemen are coming to get me!" and what the Four Horsemen represented in the Bible- Terror, Bewilderment, Frustration, Despair. There, you've been schooled! RIP Frankie Starr and Dimwit!

  • Great post!! Have had this cd since 95. had never heard of them, they f'n ROCK!

  • ol school shit...\m/

  • If you don't like that, you don't like hard rock!

  • 0:29 shaycarl?

  • This vid should have a minimum of 500K hits. People suck, music industry is gay. :)

Remember when this disc came out. Loved this...

  • Those jelly-anus dickweeds in Metallica wish they wrote songs like this instead of their suck-off-the-male-whore lullabyes.

  • @Necroticpus wow, youre totally gay

  • @meeces13 You've got fucking videos of gay sock puppets giving blumkins on your channel and you're calling me gay? WTF? You surly are the poster boy for the dumbing down of america.

  • 'Nobody said it was easy ... ' is a classic album .Its Up There ...with the great albums of all time !!! I love the guitarplaying on that album and yeah the Four Horsemen rocked liked like the Apocylpse !!! It is Music that never gets old because it rocks ...; )

  • maybe if they didn't use a name that pegged them as a metallica tribute band they'd have more sucess than they did. obviously they deserved it.

  • One of, if not the best hard rockin band to come out of the 1990s....RIP The Four Horsemen. I had the pleasure of seeing these guys opening for Anthrax back in 1994. WOW.

  • Was always onto these guys. Big time but never made it to masses. Pisses you off that real rnr didn't make it because they deserve it. 20 years later I still quote and sing these guys.

  • If you're gonna steal a song, actually play it like the other band did.

this is a Metallica song, which this sounds NOTHING like it.

  • @iwasfredfredburger67 this isn't a metallica, the song is called rockin' is ma business. When have metallica EVER done a song called that. Never, fuck back off and watch your metallica videos shit head.

  • @iwasfredfredburger67 yeah right dude ! metallica wish they were this rockin instead

  • @anbamro the name doesnt have anything to do with metallica, shit, its taken from the bible!!! and they really would like rock like this!!!

  • Good time Rock'n'Roll!

  • R.i.P. Ken "Dimwit" Montgomery!!!

  • It's wierd my friend Lewis Green turned me onto these guys. Then Frank had that accident, then a couple years later lewis fell asleep behind the wheel. Every time I play or hear this song I think about you Lewis

  • if you like these guys check out johnny crash another great ac/dc inspired band from the late 80s

  • Is this a Megadeth reference?

  • @mihadude no,it's a Metallica reference.

  • @iwasfredfredburger67 no i think they meant 'cos megadeth have killing is my bussiness... etc

  • this is so fuckin good......rock'n'roll......simple "shit" ....but so fuckin awsome.....

  • Great song. Good to hear the original. The version performed by Alabama Thunderpussy is cool as well, but this is really nice.

  • oh yeah , Rockin is 'me business

  • Damn Good Song,,2 Thumbs Up !!!

  • @dokkcrue71

Bet you're happy now, huh? Great to have you back..

I love it and thanks for sharing hun ;)

  • Great!

  • Hey Ben Pape the bass player I know you from Montgomery College

  • at around 230 is that rick rueben playing acoustin in the background?!?!?

  • I loved this song since I first heard it back in"91 on Much Music , fucking awsome , I would love to fine the Cd here in Canada !!

  • one of the best jams ever ! love it

  • I bought the cassete backin the day and still have it!! As you can expect its wore the fuck out but still plays!! Yes it ripped then and yes I still rip it now!!!

  • I found this cd in a box of junk back in '94. no liner nothing. I have literally played it to death. I never knew anything about this band until what I have read on here today. Anybody know where to buy another copy? My 18 yr old son has fought me over this cd for years. Thought it would be killer to find him a copy. RIP Frankie

    Second hand

    That's how it goes

    Playin' in a band

    Long Live The Four Horsemen

  • uh, that was ac/dc.......dude.

  • @arnoldjones I dont get it, those are lyrics from long way to the top

  • @destro319 The Long Way to the Top lyrics just kindda sum up what happened to the Four Horsemen - good band that never got any breaks.

  • She

  • who exactly is that mysterious drunk driver? i hope he got time!!

  • Yeah these guys rock....i recognize Venice Beach...are they from LA...sorry got just check in cuz i only listen to/play heavy metal
