  • What type of sewing machine are you using?

  • i think your hat looked beautiful and so do you!

  • Beautiful! You did an awesome job on the video!! And the hat looked great on you!

  • can you tell me what is the item that you use?

  • $20.00 is not a nominal fee for a pdf tutorial and pattern. I love the hat, but the price is waaaaay too much!

  • Amazing

  • OMG so cute I love que bello!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, thats amazing awsome good work.....

  • Nice! Concise and easy to follow!

I like to slice Rigilene into individual filaments, and space beads along them. You can steam knots in between them, and make dangly, sort-of cockades with them.

  • love this hat though i don't think that i can make it

  • beautiful! thank you :D

whats the music? its really great ;)

  • Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful Video. Thank You!

  • ow so pretty ^^

  • Que maravilla ¡¡¡...yo quiero uno.Gracias por compartir sus conocimientos.

    besos

  • You guys are so talented in your skill,I admire you for it

  • What is the name of the white card like stuff she was using ...I gather thats to give the hat it's stiff shape?

  • @2009ginasweetie I didn't read the instructions, but it's probably a heavy interfacing, or bulkrim.

  • This is a really difficult way to make a silk hat.

. Be warned - working with silk is not easy. It frays quickly and you have to make sure the tension on your machine is correct.

    Still- I loved the hat,

  • @alvaheadwear

Thanks for your comments. Actually if you use high quality duppioni silk with little slub, it is similar to working with cotton. The tension on your machine is a regular setting around 4. Granted you have to be aware of the silk stretching, it's no different from sewing any natural fiber in a medium weight.

  • Thank you, I used this video to power level my world of warcraft dwarf priest grand master tailor.

  • I. Get. It.

  • Now if I can imitate it, then I'd have lots of hats.

  • Amazing *_*

  • thank you

  • c'est bien expliqué mais c'est pas essentiel

on voudrait bien voir les poches passepoilé ou autres choses plus dificiles

  • Really amazing!

  • Church ladies everywhere drool.

  • wow that's so awesome!!!!:D

could i make something similar to a tophat somewhat like this?

  • would that pattern work for other fabrics such as cotton or something, as long as I have the lining right?

  • Where has this been all my life?! Omigosh! I'm going to have to watch this a couple of times to really figure out all the measurements and which piece goes were and all of that but this really expanded my limited field of knowledge. AWESOME!

  • hi, i'm actually planning to sell the pattern for a nominal fee if I can get it together. thanks for your input.

  • Great idea! How many different patterns do you have?

  • You are amazing I would like to see more videos of your wonderful work.

  • I now understane why some hats are so expensive. The time it takes to make it right.

  • i don't understand, you didn't explain how the pattern is constructed, or measurements.

  • I really enjoyed watching this

  • Fabulous!!!

  • This is a wonderful video.

  • Bravo!

Please add more videos showing different hat styles.

  • Felt like alot of work! Whew! The music made me want to rush you! lol

  • Yes, could you show another style? How about a casual cotton sun hat?

  • This is really cool! One of the only real hat-making videos out there! Too bad I don't have opposable thumbs or I'd be making hats like these.

  • beautiful ...more please xoxoxo
