actually, nouvelle vague's cover of this song on their album is far better than this one. it's far more loungey and sexy than the one in this vid. quite different from the original dead kennedy's version, but somehow they make it work.
the version in this vid is mediocre at best.

The only way I could forgive them for doing a Dead Kennedys cover is if they did "Fuck Off Nazi Punks." I like Joy Division and New Order and all, but have these people forgotten the Hippocratic Oath: First, do no harm?

To be fair to NV, the recorded version in their debut album sounds much better. They sound a bit hoarse here.

The recorded version was fabulous. She sounded drunk, and like she was drinking, and it was perfect, and actually fun and also sexy.
I don't even think this is the same singer singing it in this video. This one is just annoying.

I agree in the recorded version her voice was much more smooth and soothing. Here although I must say it sounds like everyone is having a good time, it just doesn't have even close to the same feel.
