  • I wonder if the sound quality is the same as in pocket pod? Because I had one and it's very nice for home recording. But i need only black panel model. Also, is the pocket pod sound same as from pod 2.0? Which one to choose from three of them?

  • @mradosovic The Pocket POD, Pocket POD Express, and POD 2.0 all share the same modeling technology and sound exactly the same.

  • @line6movies Thanks!

  • jesus work in line 6?

  • after 2:05 they couldnt have been bothered to title the effects anymore so they just let him solo his balls off :L

  • I wonder if I can use this for vocal performance...

  • @mauriciotav you could but you may not be happy with the sonic results. You should look into one of our PODs with an XLR input specifically for microphones like the POD HD Desktop.

  • Does it come with the USB to connect to a computer? Or is that separate?

  • @thisisobviously Pocket POD Express does not connect via USB to your computer. You'll need the regular Pocket POD for editing on your computer via USB.

  • Just a quick question, I know its prob mentioned in hear some where but I just wanna know if I can basically use it as an amp, like can i just plug in and play from it or??

  • @pbWebb92 Not really sure what you mean but you can just plug headphones into it along with a guitar and play. It won't power a speaker cabinet though. You need a power amp for that.

  • can u plug thease directly in a cabinet and if so what would would be an approbriate wattage

  • @ukuleleacole you can't plug directly into a cabinet because the POD is a pre amp and does not have a power amp section to drive a cabinet.

  • This would be great for jamming in the garden when its too hot inside

  • In my opinion this thing doesn't sound any better in headphones than just hooking of a distortion pedal. but really for 40 bucks it's not bad at all for just an extra multi/distortion pedal/noise maker.

  • I was really hoping I could link this directly into my comp without software. It does, but it is extremely quiet. Sad. But this little gadget is amazing. I am glad best buy still had them, since they are now out of production!!!!

  • would it work on a esteban g-10 10 watt?

  • @psyckla5 Yes.

  • can you switch the modes with a Boss distorion and i got a guitar center catolog and it said while suppleys last and i was wonder how long will that go on cause i plan on getting it after christmas im so exected !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @isaneisaac32 I'm not sure what you mean by "modes" but you can run a Boss distortion pedal in front of the Pocket POD with no issues.

  • can this be used to plug into a pc and record your guitar playing?

  • @ionbc Yes however, you’d be better off looking into a USB or Firewire audio interface to connect to your computer and then connect the POD into that.

  • cost?

  • What was the song he was playing when he was using the rock effect?!?!?

  • Can I use it just like:

    guitar->pocket pod->headphones? Without a computer? Great sound!

  • @GuitarThrill of course. It should be in stereo too.

  • im gonna buy this but im not sure about something? anyone please help ASAP, ok if i get this will this be the ONLY THING I NEED to start recording?, like am i just gonna be able to use like a guitar-guitar cable-pod-usb-pc-audacity and start recording straight from the pod? no software needed?

  • @HELLIONNUMBER96 The Pocket POD Express does not record over USB. IMO, a POD X3 is a better recording solutiuon.

  • @line6movies not usb but however lol do i just need the pod ONLY to start recording

  • @HELLIONNUMBER96 run a 1/8th inch stereo cable from the headphone output to the "Line-in" or "Mic" input on your pc or laptop. Get "Audacity" recording software online for free, just google it. Choose the correct source in Audacity, adjust levels and your good to go. I've used many different Multi-fx boxes to record this way. No amp needed if you have good pc speakers and a sub-woofer.

I haven't owned a real amp in over 3 years.

  • So does it matter what Amp you use like I got a peavey and a Fender will it matter?

  • @slipknotfan157 Nope. Works with any amp. Thanks.

  • can i use an penay amp 15 w whit this??

  • @ironmaiden12341 Absolutely. Thanks.

  • can i use this pod on an line 6 spider III 15w?

  • @TakaNuva1111 Yes. You can visit our Line 6 Support forums on tips if you need any. Thanks :)

  • The Crunch sounds awesome!

  • @EdgarBeja It's not the crunch who's awesome but the stratocaster !

  • Hey, is it possible to connect our sound system to this cutie? I mean can't i plug my creative 2.1 through the headphone input or something else? And if i can is it possible for the other line 6 pods?

  • @StewieKaan Yes. If your creative speakers are self powered then you can plug them straight into the headphone jack on the Pocket POD Express. This works the same for all PODs. Please not however, the POD is a stereo device and will not deliver surround sound audio.

  • I have a question, does this pedal gives a really powerful heavy metal tone? Tones like metallica, megadeth, slayer etc. Pls reply, im considering on getting this pedal soon,

  • best you can buy for that price.

  • Wow. This sounds absolutely terrible :)

  • wat amp is used here

  • @flibter7 No amp. It was recorded direct from Pocket POD Express into the computer.

  • @line6movies If you don't mind me asking what did you use to record it into the computer? It sounds really good.

  • @Onyxaxe It was just Pocket POD Express directly into Pro Tools LE.

  • @line6movies Thank you :).

  • This sounds brilliant. I'm totally getting one of these.

  • Just wanted to let the Line 6 guys know this is a great review and way better than most L6 reviews. How so? There wasn't a bunch of info on the product that is already listed on the website with cheezy background music. There was good playing on nice guitars that complemented each amp model. I also liked the fact that each model was shown w/o effects and then w/ effects. I'd like to see more of the Line 6 reviews done in this fashion. Good job.

  • i have a question for those who really have this thing - so is it possible to get the sound of 2.07 - 2.27 with this POD EXPRESS?

Some say that he's using distorsion pedal.. and i see their point - cause it IS set to CLEAN at 2.07 of the movie...

  • this thing is just fenomenal. Sounds awesome through headphones and in recordings. The effects are ok, but the ampsimulator is why you buy it. The "Twang" speaker is by far the best of the five simulators. It also works great with stompboxes.

  • if you connect this Line6 POD EXPRESS...are all effects on the amp gonna be disable????and all those tone dialers on your guitar?(of course you can still control the volume)

or you have to manually switch off the MIDI+BASS+REVERB+TREBLE+GAIN

    on the amp?

  • @davecarpio The Pocket POD Express doesn't disable any guitar or amp parameters. You'll still be able to use your guitar tone knobs and your amps EQ's.

  • I really love the sound of the distortion and twang.I'm buying soon. FOR SURE!

  • I've got one of this 'sweeties" - very nice clean sound, very nice effects. Distortions, are very good but... "just" very god. In my opinion this is one of these things, every guitarist must have in his "guitar armory". Well done Line 6.

  • thnx man i needed to see this and this helped made my mind, im deffinatley gettin one of these :D

  • I have two questions about this... is it good for using live? and can i change effects in the middle of the song without stopping? thanx

  • It can certainly be used live however since you cannot control it with a pedal you can't change effects on the fly.

  • does the pod work with a fender 15g amp

  • @flibter7

sure, it works with all amps

  • Does this pedal work with small amps?

  • those are some big ass tuners

  • Pod pocket express has the acoustic effect? the last effect that he shows seems like is similar...

another question, PPE can be linked to a speakers, like what we use in computers? i guess it can be linked by the headphones input, or no?

  • The Pocket POD Express does not have an acoustic simulator but you can dial in a nice clean tone with it. You can easily output it to an amplifier or come out of the headphone jack to computer speakers.

  • how you tune with this thing?

  • easy, you hold down the tap button for 2 seconds and it turns into a tuner. if the string is flat the light with the flat symbol lights up. if its too sharp the light with the sharp symbol lights up. both lights will light up if the string is in tune.

  • this guy is awesome, my dad who also plays guitar says unlike a sports player great guitarists never leave it all on the stage, they only show you a little taste each show of what they can do, this guy i can tell did not show off and he definatley held back his mad skillz. wana join my band lol

  • how do you connect one of these into a interface?

  • Simply plug the direct output of the Pocket POD into an input on your audio interface.

  • thx

  • thanks!

can you please answer my other question? about the last effect of the POD...

  • This is more like a little POD 2.0 rather than a Spider but the modeling technology in the Pocket POD is the same as in the Spider so they will sound similar.

  • Will this work ok with a Marshall MS-2 Mini Amp?

  • The Pocket POD should work fine with that amp.

  • Quit blaming the equipment when it all rest in your playing skills.

  • soz im a real beginner to recording guitar distortion etc. would this pedal help me record with better sound quality because iv got the ME20 and puting this into a line in on a laptop sounds really rough, would this have to replace my ME20 for recording purposes ? anyone's help greatly appreciated ! !

  • You'd essentially run the Pocket POD the same way as your ME20. Just out of the POD into the Line In of your computer. It should sound fine but you may eventually want to look into getting a better audio interface for your recording purposes. Check out our POD Studio line of products.

  • 2:30 is nice ;)

  • 0:33 sounds like Jimi Hendrix :D

  • gonna get that its badass

  • Whoa, this guy is bad-ass!!! I need a guitar player like that!

  • Anybody got the tabs from that crunch-part?

    Answers pls :)

  • Nice playing m8, by the way what song does he play at 2.29-2.44, i would really appreciate it if anyone could tel me thanks guys

  • Ok, brace yourselves for a stupid question:

Can you plug this into your car audio system? If I did that, would I blow the car speakers or something? Is it even possible?

  • Of course you can. It's got a headphone jack. And you wouldn't blow the speakers.

  • I'm sorry, does anybody else think this is the spits of Kim Thayill from Soundgarden? Similar guitar too...

  • can I use this with an Eagletone amp ?

    please answers me !!^^

sorry for my english cause i'm french ^^

  • of course you can se that thing with everything you want...

  • if it has a 1/4" in (the standard guitar cable size) then yes just plug your guitar into it and then plug it into your amp

  • Yes you can man

  • cheat at 2:07 he's using a distortion pedal. cause its set to clean

  • haha XD true

  • No, I think it is because it's a video montage, so there is some image that's not of that moment

  • the way the "clean" setting works is the higher you have it then the dirtier it sounds

  • in fact the whole test is cheat 'cause he's playing with very very good guitars and so of course it souds very good !

  • i am tninking in changing my pocket pod for a pocket pod express ad i want to know if this one is better tah pocket pod

  • Looks nice for practice!

  • wow. I might have to get rid of my PX4

  • the metal sound sucks, very bassy

  • Indeed,,plus the palm mutes are weak

  • but really, doesn't modern metal suck? So, the tone fits right in.

  • beyond true.

  • stfu

  • @kynoceph

    Modern metal doesn't suck...

  • that's one of the rack Lowdown bass amps

  • really nice sound from that little bean :)
