I understand that copyrights are very important and these laws should not be ignored for all cases, but memorials and tributes, shouldn't these above all else be honored because the publisher of this is trying to honor a person. The next day i decided to look him out on which movie he was in, and i saw that he died 4 days before i saw the episode of a drugoverdose. And that just killed it for me, i cried for days. And i havent seen "Hero" sence that day cause i couldent handle it..

Im a Dubliner who has seen what drink and drugs have done to people.I admired him as a fellow country man and yes a great actor. When his mother decided to take him off to that part of the world in America in the 80's especially when Ireland was not a great place to be. He was given this unique opportunity and he burned out too soon..such a shame I feel more so because like I said I was proud to see someone from Dublin on TV in America.

metalitron12, I have to disagree with you. Talking about chemical imbalances in the brain....I have panic attacks caused by anxiety and the brain not getting enough seritonin. I take Xanax for the attacks but I do not misuse the drug. I made that choice, just as everyone else can before they start misusing drugs. My brother-in-law is 51 and is still using drugs. He's been in jail and rehab and come out clean only to start again. It is a hard choice once started but still a choice.
Its not you making the choice man. Trust me. These chemical imbalances cause bipolar disorders and many other mood swings like it. Trust me. You think you are yourself but really you are not.
While it ultimately is a choice, I think some people are more predisposed to addictive behavior than others are. Most people are addicted to something. You can have healthy addiction, like exercise. Plus, someone could've started taking a drug for whatever reason: depressed, to fit in, want to live dangerously; but once you get to the point that you're seriously addicted, it makes it very difficult to change your behavior. Then there are some who want to simply live destructively.
Whilst i agree with the potential truth in what you're saying, it's still speculation. He wasn't necessarily wanting to live destructively or dangerously, could have been any number of reasons, as you said, once certain drugs take hold, it becomes more than a matter of mere choice. Certain drugs evoke a physical dependancy as well as the psychological addiction. But as a few have said already, regardless of how the man died, it is still a tragic loss. He shall be missed.

Sorry for the over used term, but often drugs or alcohol are used to "self medicate." There must have been some very serious emotional crap going on with Glenn. No, being an actor is, definitely, not a steady income. If you aren't working, (if you're not in a show or a movie or a tv commercial) you are not getting paid. Then when you do get paid, you get paid a lot! That's how successful actors get so wealthy. In Glenn Quinn's case, he probably was getting some residuals from Roseanne but that would've been about it. If you're still confused, just ask and I'll try to explain more.

huh?
Roseanne ended about 10 years ago, so he's not going to suddenly disappear from episodes that were taped way before he passed away.
I was really sad when I found out he passed away. He was great on Roseanne and Angel.

Sorry for the over used term, but often drugs or alcohol are used to "self medicate." There must have been some very serious emotional crap going on with Glenn. If he were alive today and had some loving and understanding support he might have chosen life. Death is so permanent and lasts a long long time.

Don't feel stupid. It's not surprising that you didn't know he Glenn Quinn was Irish. I think most Roseanne fans didn't know. And I think it's mostly Angel fans who are really aware that he passed on(Angel dedicated an episode to him).*sigh*R.I.P. Glenn Quinn . . .

Yeah, sorry about that. Honestly, the cocaine talk was making me uncomfortable. I'll go ahead and unblock you. It's just that I, normally, try to avoid surrounding myself with users 'cause I don't appreciate flippant remarks about drugs. As I mentioned before, I know firsthand how drugs can hurt people and those that care about them. So, it's the one thing I don't have much of a sense of humor about. Haha! Yeah, I knew he was on Angel. :) But, actually, he was only on Angel during the first season (his character is killed off in the 9th episode) He didn't pass away until 3 years later(when Angel was in it's 4th season)

No, being an actor is, definitely, not a steady income. If you aren't working, (if you're not in a show or a movie or a tv commercial) you are not getting paid. Then when you do get paid, you get paid a lot! That's how successful actors get so wealthy. In Glenn Quinn's case, he probably was getting some residuals from Roseanne but that would've been about it. If you're still confused, just ask and I'll try to explain more.

well actually he got a gig on a show called angel in 1999 and was on that show til he died. so he wasnt flat broke if he spent his money right...he was working.

I didn't know he died either. I only knew him from the Roseanne shows and not from anywhere else. I didn't even now he did drugs. I'm just as supprised as all of you and I agree, he is was a very good actor and a very good inspiration. It's not going to be the same without him on Roseanne. Rest in peace man. :(

i just saw the episode from angel called LOG DAYS JOURNEY and at the end says in loving momery of glenn quiin and it makes me really sad, make sad that no one of the people who worked with him in angel didint say a few words about him... maybe in the nexs episodes somebody talks abour him... i miss doyle!

I had just recently started watching the Angel episodes. Had always wanted to watch them but the kind of jobs I have had have extreme over time but now that they have them online it is much easier. Needless to say Doyle really got a hold of me and I decided to see what else he played in and had no idea he had died. That just sucks sooo bad and then I watched the Angel episode called Hero and lost it all over the place.

Quinn died on December 3, 2002, aged 32. Police and autopsy reports revealed the cause of death to be a heroin overdose. His body was found on the couch of a friend he was visiting in North Hollywood, California.
