  • It's funny how we have the story same story of the arc

  • they always make it sound like ancient texts evolved in a manner leaving us thinking they were less sophisticated like (we were the "first civilization of laws") but the reality is the oldest texts we have were written with even more sophistication than our best authors today. A much more colorful and less evolutionary point of view is needed. For the "gods" were actually believed and the stories were possibly real, think of it, God real? wow. bring the discussion to balance.

  • the sumarians are the origin of the Arab , Assyrians are diffirent grate civilization in north of Iraq ,

  • the sumarian are the first civilizatione on the wold in Iraq ,

  • @sss99929ify Incorrect. Aborigines are at least 40,000 years old. Pre-dating Sumerians by tens of thousands of years.

  • Arabs are not Sumarians. Assyrians are. Arabs were tribes of the south not near Sumer.

  • @PeeteyP what the hell are you talking about go read a book dumbass

  • This kind of embodies what's wrong with movies and education, doesn't it. Did scribes know about all the texts we consider relevant? Did little girls learn to write? did they then develop,an impression of personal journalism? You see how this video is a lie?

  • reported by online Iranian news services, beginning in 2001 about Jiroft Civilization:5000 yrs old Jiroft Civilisation

By the new discoveries in Jiroft, it is proved that Jiroft citizens were the first people who created writing, not Sumerians.

  • Very cool video, informative and teaches the information in an easily understandable way. The sumerians were a really interesting people, maybe one day i will read the epic of gilgamesh !

  • GILGAMESH!

  • @7fink7

That's nothing if Iraq will be the new South Korea 2 decades from now. It was actually preferable over letting a dictator control a key part of the Middle East and not allowing democracy/republicans to spread throughout the ME.

  • I'm not saying the US politics is good, I'm talking about the citizens who hate their politicians more than anyone else, beside my point was that people stay away from insulting nations

  • FUCK U'S, IRAQQQQ WE BROUGHT MATHAS ANATOMY BAILOGY TIME SPACE ITS ALL IRAQQQQQQQ!!!!!!!

  • @Speslad Im iraqi but serousily, what is your problem? this is a documentary not a trolling festival. leave politics and the US out of this video!!! BTW you might want to consider saying f** the US, your insulting a nation of 300 million people,..

  • The civilization of Mesopotamia was built by the inhabitants of the Zagros Mountains, where the oldest archaeological evidence shows that since the establishment of the first farming village in Garmo in the seventh millenniumBC and then went down to the east of theTigris Nuzi and then toTel Hassouna west of the Tigris to Samarra, and then to Akaragov west of Baghdad, which is the first Agricultural villages which was established in Mesopotamia which is the period of(60000-85000)BC ZAGROS PEOPLE

  • FUCK U U.S SHIT ITS ALL IRAQIS, LONG LIVE IRAQQQQQ

  • @Speslad Its Kurdistan

  • @Downsideupside WHO KURDSTAN????? IRAQQQ FOR EVERRRR!!!!!!

  • @Speslad It was Kurdistan at the time, its Iraq now, it will be Kurdistan again in the future!!

  • @psmx7 how can you say such a thing, the Iraqi are necessarily mixed with the people especially in the area of Babel (Babylon, Hilla)

  • That dumb chick narrating ruined this video on me!

  • @psmx7 i have to say, you know your stuff .

  • 4:37 I have that same picture in my living room, I feel smart now.

  • watch this > watch?v=qzICDHC-ohs I talk about the first Eurasian writing for example 14000 year old writing in the Kapova cave in Bashkortostan in Russia. Take a look and give some feedback.

  • life in sumer was harder than this video portrays.they sacrificed people by throwing them in deep pits in the center of the city.

  • Why not revive this ancient language? It would give us a sense how first agricultural people think. Arab language is a beduin languge - language of the desert. Arab is suited for Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Jordan and North Africa. Mesopotamia had their own language - Sumerian - or Ki-en-gir. It will flourish again.

  • @myASSYRIANpride Arabs have vast space from Morocco to Syria and Jordan. But Iraq will be Sumerian again as it was 5000 years ago. Iraqi Arabs are Sumerians. For 10-20 years Iraq will be country with three languages - Sumerian, Kurdish and Aramaic. And a secular state like Sweden. Arabic language will be heard only in mosques as a ceremonial and religious language, as is the case in Turkey.

  • @myASSYRIANpride As Persians retained their language, so will Sumerians again in 21. century. We will revive it, as Jews did with Hebrew in 20. century. Arabic will be kept only in mosques as a religious and ceremony languages as is Latin in Catholic church.

  • @myASSYRIANpride Hy! I ADMIRE GREAT ASSYRIAN PEOPLE AND CIVILIZATION! I ADMIRE ALSO ARABS, BUT IRAQ IS NOT ARAB COUNTRY!!! IT IS SUMERIAN/AKKADIAN/ASSYRIAN COUNTRY! AND KURDISH ON THE NORTH! We have to CONVINCE Iraqi Arabs that they are descendants of Sumerians and slowly introduce Sumerian language in daily life. So, in future Iraq will have 2 official languages - Sumerian in south and central part and Kurdish in the north. Aramaic will be minority language in areas where You are majority.

  • @milekrizman .Iraqis are not related the the Ancient people of Sumer, Iraqis are Arabs mix with Turks, who are all descendants of Cananites who have mixed in for thousands of years after the Sumerians, If you read the ancient text you will see the facts yourself of the race of these people, their knowledge and achievements, and where they came from. European will trick you with these videos & their story being a Myth?A Myth is a story that have been passed down verbally" but this is written.

  • @Bogleize09 Non the less in would be great to revive this ancient language.

  • @Bogleize09 It doesn't matter what Iraqi Arabs originate from. What is important is that once there was this great civilization of Sumer. Look, Arabs have a vast territory ranging from Morocco to Syria and Jordan. Why Iraq should be just another country with the same language as the rest? Sumerian language would give to Iraqis a sense of true identity. Iraqi Arabs are mix of lots of ethnic groups, but You cannot deny that Sumerian contribution is most important.

  • @Bogleize09 yessir!

  • @milekrizman That could be tought considering how nobody speaks Sumerian anymore... DNA studies does show that Iraqis differ a bit from other Arabs, probably becuase they do in fact have some "Sumerian or Akkadian" blood left in them. And Kurds have nothing to do with the Sumerians, Kurds are Aryans, they are an Iranian people, Sumerians were not

  • @MrDiem2 I want to say that Arab homeland is Saudi Arabia. Iraq was not originally Arab country. Since Sumerians are the first who invented writing and wheel and we owe much tot them, Iraqi Arabs should switch from Arabic to Sumerian. It would be exciting to hear this language to be spoken again after more then 3000 years. I really hope that Iraq will become bilingual - Sumerian and Kurdish. Who wants to speak Arabic should go to Saudi Arabia or Jordan.

  • @milekrizman Again the problem is that nobody speaks Sumerian anymore, I'm not even sure if anybody left in the world, even professors of the language can speak it

  • @MrDiem2 It doesn't matter. Sumerian could be first written language that was FIRST revived after so long time. I know Hebrew was revived after almost 2000 years. Why not Sumerian after 4000 years. Arabic is spoken from Atlantic to Persian gulf. That is wast space for Arabs. Iraq was originally Sumerian country and it has to be Sumerian again. In my opinion Golden age of Iraq was from 3000 .C. to 2400 B.C. We have to revive that language spoken in that time - Sumerian.

  • @milekrizman Don't see the point, yes Iraq was Sumerien a very, VERY long time ago, but it has been conquered by so many people Iraqis carry blood from all kinds of people like Greeks, Persians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Rome, Kassites, Arabs and Mongols, Iraq could very well speak any of those languages if we go by your logic. I would like it if Iraq spoke Aramaic again, as it was the entire language of the Middle east at one point, people say every person in the middle east carry Aramean blood

  • @MrDiem2 Greeks have Greece, Persians have Iran and Tajikistan, Romans have Italy, Babylonians and Assyrians have northern Iraq and they exist today under name Assyrian Christians...

Look, in my opinion we owe to the first civilization that made writing and wheel. Why not revive this ancient language. Aramaic exists in Northern Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. I am from Croatia. If scientists would discover some ancient grammar on Illyrian language I would petition for Croats to speak it again.

  • @MrDiem2 I am learning Latin and Greek. Reviving languages in my opinion is awesome thing, especially the ones who carried great cultural importance, like Sumerian for example.

  • @milekrizman You are still not fucking getting it, THERE IS NOBODY TO TEACH PEOPLE TO SPEAK SUMERIAN BECAUSE THERE IS NOBODY LEFT WHO SPEAKS IT, Hebrew was introduced because there was still a tiny minority of people who spoke it, but Sumerian, you could walk from the US to China and would not find a single person who speaks it, there might be some expert on the Sumerians somewere who can translate a few tablets here and there but not the entire language

  • @MrDiem2 As I read there is a huge library of Sumerian language found all across Iraq. Scientists could study it very carefully and reconstruct the language.

When grammar and dictionary would be over, we could introduce it among Iraqi Arabs.

If it is possible of course. Linguists would need a huge amount of clay tablets to reconstruct it. Egyptian Coptic survived in 21. century as a language of Coptic church.

I read that Sumerian survived until 1. century A.D. as a liturgical language.

  • @milekrizman All that just so Iraqis can speak Sumerian again? No thanks, Iraq is proud of it's Sumerian history, just leave it at that, you don't se Italians trying to introduce Latin as their main language, why? Because most people just don't care about that stuff, and if Iraqis were to abandon their Arabic language they would basically leave out a huge part of the countries history in favour of another part of the lands history, I would like to see more people speak Aramaic in Iraq though

  • @MrDiem2 In my opinion Iraqi's history is bullshit since Sargon 'the great'. Since Akkadian invaders came to Mesopotamia, it all went wrong.

Iraqi people should return to their roots - Sumerian roots. Aramaic language was imported from Syria and Arabic from Saudi Arabia. Syrian people should talk Aramaic, not Iraqis. Iraqis should talk Sumerian. Arabs have enough countries - from Morocco to Syria and Jordan. I hope that Iraq will retain it's original language - Sumerian.

  • @milekrizman The ancient Arameans did not come from Syria but from the Arabian peninsula, and Aramaic was the Lingua franca of the entire middle east at one point, all ethnic groups be it Jews, Babylonians, Assyrians or Arameans speaking it. I would like to see Sumerian as a language again though, with Aramaic and Arabic as the Lingua franca. Aramaic and Arabic are so close to each other it is an evidence that they both originated from the same area

  • @MrDiem2 Yes, I agree with you. Arabic came into dominance by islamic conquest in 7. century. People in Northern Africa, the Berbers speak Berber language, Egyptians spoke Coptic, people from Levant spoke Aramaic... It would be a good thing to revive this native languages and made them official as it was 1500 years ago. I have nothing against Arabs, but it is a fact that Arabic was spread with military conquest to Fertile Crescent and North Africa.

  • @milekrizman Don't fall into that crap that Copts are the ancient Egyptians descendants, Coptic language is a Semitic language related to Arabic, not ancient Egyptian, Copts are Arabs but they are self haters and don't like to admit they are, and they are no closer to the Ancient Egyptians than Muslims in Egypt, in fact they are probably further from the Ancient Egyptians becuase of their Greek Orthodox roots

  • @MrDiem2 Read about Coptic language on wikipedia.

  • @milekrizman So Cotic language has some words taken from ancient Egyptian, great, in the same way Arabic has a few words taken from Akkadian, who in turn uses loan words from the Sumerians. Copts are no closer to ancient Egyptians than Muslims in Egypt, I think it is absolute bullshit that people self hate in a way like this, what's so bad about being Arab? It's the exact same thing with Syriac churches, they speak Syriac and say they are not Arabs, but are descendants of some of the first Arabs

  • الله يجعله للمغص مدرس السبيكينق هههههههه

  • لابوكم لابو من جمعكم

  • what a stupid name for a pet sheep

  • people started writing faster? wow thats sooo not how it happend

  • Does anyone has a video of Sumerian language? All I can find on YouTube are some crazy Annunaki conspiracy theories. IS THERE ANYBODY WHO KNOWS SUMERIAN? I HEARD LATIN, GAULISH, BOT NO SUMERIAN, THE FIRST WRITTEN LANGUAGE!!!

  • @milekrizman i think there was a guy that did but i think he died? not sure

  • @crookedtailmonster Hy, if You could find his name I would appreciate it! I am thinking on introducing this language again among Marsh Arabs in Southern Iraqi marshes, because they are descendants of ancient Sumerians. Also, if this is You on this picture, You are good looking ;)

  • This not the whole truth , this is tainted ! this is just some what truth the Sumerian , knew a lot more , what to know more well read the, The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life of Life , BY Drunvalo Melchizedek , or Zacharia Sitchin

  • was this vid meant for kindergarden shiiiit

  • @REIGNTERROR88 i think its in kindergarten mode as there are so many idiots thinkin aliens gave mankind writing and these idiots need it spelling out that it all started with farmers putting tallies in clay to count sheep, bushels of wheat, which bake into a hard record in the sunlight. surely the last thing these imaginary aliens would do would be to give a covert means for a slave race to communicate. if u don't believe in this ancient alien stuff, think its daft, then i apologise for assuming

  • cuneiform is an accountants language, it is used to keep numbers, it is not a complete language. we already perfected language in the nile basin way before the sumerians.

  • @sunmanpatoo i tought that was a part of africa,,,aka alkebu-lan

  • Every Culture is unique in its own way.... and this culture is not only unique but very intelligent too :)

  • good work

  • no a in cuneiform love, damn yanks

  • cuniform** no e dumbass

  • Loved this, is there a longer version available?, the epic story part seemed cut short ,

  • Its funny, we automatically assume that "the gods" are fictional creatures. But ancient summerians believed we were put here and taught by aliens. Which is why we give gods names. which is why the christian and hebrew bible are plagerized from summerian stories.

  • @MikeG11986

It's more like the Bible is a "correction" of the ancient chroncles. The only exception is that it dwells more in the identity of the "real G-D" than the fallen angels who masquerades as gods

  • @JoJmnz144 That's a certainty.

  • @AnnunakiKasadu This story in the bible has very little detail. some say it's because it was a story handed down over thousands of years. i heard something crazy like moses was a sumarian. maybe everything is connected. one who looks through a narrow tunnel doesn't see as much as one who looks through a broader one.

  • @LifeRunsOnOpposites narrow is the way to salvation broad is the road to destruction.

  • @LifeRunsOnOpposites

Moshe (Moses) was a direct descendant of Avraham. Avraham came from UR (NI-IV-RU) of the land of Shumer. That indeed makes Israel modern Sumeria. Clues: intellect, descent from Shem. According to the ancient manuscripts, the Sumerians were wiped out by a plague soon after Avraham left the region. The forefathers of the Irakis occupied the demographic vacuum. They're not the descendants of Sumeria. Israel is.

  • @JoJmnz144 Have you noticed how many Egyptian Phaorohs' names such as Ramesses (Ra-Moshe) have a common Sumerian - Shemitic / Hebraic origin? Is it possible in your opinion Sumer and Egypt both had at some point the same Gods / Priest-Kings and this influenced the Israeli civilisation's concept of Yahweh / The Elohim?

  • @jproctor1978

If Avraham was Sumerian from Ni-Iv-Ru (UR, Nippur), then he came from a place where the concept of gods/priest-kings originated from. Sumeria is considered the first civilization of recorded history. They were direct descendants of Shem, eldest son of Noakh. You might say that the name Sumer means "Of Shem" or "Sons of Shem". The Torah called only for a priest ruler, since Israel was designed as a congregation not a kingdom. Israel wanted what the gentiles had, so G-D gave them..

  • @JoJmnz144 You know your stuff, that's for sure! My question - What about Egypt - to what extent do you think they were influenced by Shumer, (or vice-versa) and to what extent did the Semitic Hebrews influence the Egyptian religion (as in Ra-Moshe/Ramesses)? all civilisations prob. had a common source. Also, do you see a difference between "Shemitic" (ie of Shem), and "Semitic"? I thought there was a difference between Shem and "Semitic" I don't think they are describing the same entities?

  • They are. Ni-Iv-Ru > Iv-Ru= Nippur > Ur = Hebrew > Ivrit. Avram>Avra-ham. Yehoshua > Yeshua = Joshua > Jesus. A lot of context and meaning is lost when translated to another language. Biblical words of Tanak and New Test. are Jewish in its core. They have meanings and wordplays that are uniquely Jewish and Hebrew. English tends to "gentilize", "paganize" these words and verses.

Shumer, Inanna's domain was destroyed bfore Egypt influenced it.

  • @JoJmnz144 I always believed they (Egypt/Shumer) had the more or less the same Priest-Kings/Gods ? Ptah = Enki, Ra = Udu (later Marduk of Babel), Irnini (Innana) = Isis, etc. They both believed these entities ruled them long before the biblical OT kings. I see what you mean about loss of meaning in the language, 3 different scholars translated a tablet and gave 3 different meanings. True Shumer was destroyed, but Egypt was equally ancient and having the same Kings/Gods suggests a common origin?

  • @jproctor1978 All of them are the same rebel angel entities. Genesis spoke of a rebellion up there. Ex.: Innana=Isis=Circe=Kali=Venus=Semiramis=KuanYin=Queen of Heaven=The Lady=Notre Dame=Mother of the gods=xtian, Mother of god. Same person=different persona, different names and ID in respective cultures.

Circe>Kirche>church=mystery, sorcery, secrecy, replacement theology. The fallen ones introduced themselves to ancient peoples as gods and goddesses. Only the languages and cultures differed.

  • Thank You for this post, it'll help many
