I quote: "This is the only game you can pursue the puck. The only one!"
I´m sorry to break the news for you but the swedes had a game for about 12-15 years ago that actually could move freely, and I mean freely in any direction with the players. It was a brilliant idea with some flaws unfortunately and thats why it haven´t survived to this day. The game is called SweGame Real Hockey, maybe you guys took some inspiration with the magnets from this one?
why only 3 on 3, why isnt it rectangle, and no behind the goal? who cares, complain complain, what i see is fucking awsome. cant wait to get one. just hope i can afford it. great job. slot hockey sucked, this i would play. thank you inventers
what are the advantages of magnetic hockey over regular rod hockey it is the same thing but with out slots and idk what the cost of it is but its prolly more expensive than rod
all it offers is no slots .. you should make the players some how move around freely
playing a game without sectioned zones becomes a tangled mess of sticks. If one player is in the far corner my player will not be able to pass through its stick get it. There is lateral movement in each zone its not just back and forth. The players arent subject to move in a slotted area just a zone.
the players do move freely. Watch the practice section of the video. The right wing and the other players move in an area side to side back to back. This is the only game you can pursue the puck. The only one!
I am a long time fan of table hockey (Chexx) and find this very interesting. I don't understand is if this is a 'marketing video' how come the 'game play' section really only shows the players moving fore and aft on the ice? If I'm going to drink the cool aid I need to see the departure from 'slot hockey' and watch guys handle the puck left to right across the ice. I see the one clip of the player circling the puck at center ice but game play doesn't seem to require that motion?
If you look close first off there is no slot( puck cant get stuck or hung up on any part of the surface. No Slots!!! As far as your question the game was designed so you could pursue the puck in a designated zone and with in that zone there is lateral movement as well as end to end movement.
Of course...the visual of no slots is the first thing you notice (very cool). And I like the innovative concept to improve a game untouched for so many years. The game play section of the video isn't what I expected...more or less straight movement. I still am intrigued.
one thing you cant do in this on is theese very hard shots you can do in a stiga. here you have to push the stick forward, not role it like in stiga... but thgis looks nice, but if i can buy this kinda game for under 300 then its worth it
no one has ever played this game so how can you say you cant do hard shots. I would chalange any one on this game. the shots you can make far exceed any game on the market. there is lateral movement which no game on the market has. NOOOOO Slottts. so you are not limited to where the game places your player. How can you make a comment on a game you have never played??????
...just checked out 'lilchicks' vids on the 'Gamecraft' table, that table is actually longer one way by about 30 percent!
Also, it appears as though the magnetic players are still somewhat limited to how far sideways they can 'pursue the puck'(similar to a slotted table) It appears the slotless table is similar to a slotted table in the way that the players are still somewhat limited to their sideways movements. I would like to try this table though.
The playing surface was sectioned off after long consideration. The origanal designs where full check, but what was discovered was there was no game setup. Just check you in the corner and then shoot the puck. This way there is still player to player interaction, with alot more play setup.
The space between the redlines was removed because the play in any table hockey game does not translate to real hockey. What is the point of having a true scale model of a real hockey rink and the game play be horrible?
The goalie is finished, This game was designed around the concept of game play. The feel and control of the game is what the game is about. It is the only game on the market that you can pursue the puck(it doesnt have to be in the slot) all 6 players travel the full length of the table.
The Game you have in your favorites is also square. Real hockey is all about spreading the ice, Lateral movement, That allows for lots of shot oportunities.

how far off there sectioned zones can they get around?
maximogaro 4 years ago
The players do move around freely in there set areas. During game design it was built as a full check game, but in doing so there is no game set-up.
