Yes, the vid is very cute! But as both an inground pool/spa and Pug owner I have to object, the first thing I teach all of my foster Pugs is that the "big water bowl" is dangerous.

None of the bully breeds are good swimmers. Some can swim,most will just sink.I don't take that chance, I love my guys way too much to endanger them.

In all seriousness, obviously none of you have ever actually worked on a pool. Pools have a small hole like that on the side that leads into a covered drain, so that you can clean out debris, or pour in chlorine so that it goes directly through the pump and gets distributed. The hole is less than a foot deep and has water in it, but not enough for a puppy to drown. That dog was never in any danger. You'd get hurt more by stepping in it than the puppy did by falling in it.

I did read that he was fine. But that doesn't change the fact that having that hole uncovered AT ALL is unsafe. For humans, puppies, other small animals. Yeah it was fine. I grabbed it as soon as it fell in, thats why the video stops so suddenly. That whole is for the swimming pool's pump but its not dangerous
