We think millions of thought every day and just because a whole heap of self-help books suggest we "are what we think" does not make it so, it's just too simplistic.

There is a very subtle internal dialogue we all use to communicate the world around us, to ourselves.

The language that we use in turn shapes that world around us, as we perceive the world and then experience what we perceived to happen through this internal dialogue.

"shapeshift" lulz. Consciousness does manifest itself into lions as it manifests itself into you.

There are meditation practices that do work with the animal metaphor to increase awareness of the lower chakras . The question is then "What's it like to be a lion?" Since you are not a lion, Thomas Nagel tells us we don't know what it is like to be a lion and you demand the impossible.

We have been conditioned to think when represented with symbols, images or words.

With exposure to imbecile, harmful advertisements that raise man to the exaltation of his vices we get a society like America that is a wasteland of consumers in a debased consciousness.

It surely accounts for the material wealth but the look at all the unhappy people.
