I was in the british army and whenever I see these clips I don't get the automatic fire thing with the SA80..... The SUSAT rifle sight on your personal weapon when zeroed to yourself is amazing. I was trained to to conserve your ammo. Pick off your man and kill him with one shot....more scary than the noise of automatic gunshots!. ....Upto to 200 metres even with a light breeze if you're good....... which you should be if you're a British infantryman! These clips look a bit like video games

You have to remember that it takes a long time for a helicopter to arrive and then get ability to fire. Normally the taliban don't sit in 1 place for very long. As said, a battle will last very short time. And thne they will disapear. A heli wouldnt do anything.

@Xboxebob They both do excellent work, you can have 100 weeks of training but that dont mean your better as its all down to teamwork and knowing what to do in a ambush. Im currently in the Army as an infantry soldier and trust me nothing can teach you what its going to be like when your out there wishing you was at home and not running for your life.

Royal marines and navy seals are around th same level as you said but navy seals are stricter but it just goes to show the strictness does not affect the way they work when you look at how strict and successful the royal marines are.

@achzdck If we just send in artillery and helicopters to blow everything up, not only is it expensive to do that all the time, especially when we have very experienced soldeirs right there perfectly capable of fighting it themselves.
You have to remember that it takes a long time for a helicopter to arrive and then get ability to fire. Normally the taliban don't sit in 1 place for very long. As said, a battle will last very short time. And thne they will disapear. A heli wouldnt do anything.

@Shadowsaken Totally right, but my brother was in afghan and he was in a squad of 3 UK & 6 US, and almost all of his team were killed and the only survivors were my bro (UK).. Cpl. Ken Donson (UK).. and Pvt. John Vickerson (US). Vickerson lived 'cos he hid in a small house whilst my bro and Donson were fast enough to chuck a couple of grenades at the taliban squad, and the uk/us squad was outnumbered 14 to 9. That US asshole was a coward.
