Both are just incredible. Caps fan here and I prefer Ovechkin as a player, but there is no denying the skill of Crosby. Both have faults though and cups are won by teams not players, so that doesn't matter whatsoever.

Both Ovie and Sid put on an awsome show during the season. It's true they did cancel each other out in terms of stats, but Ovechkin had a lot of clear cut goals, more precision in shots and stick handling was awsome. Sid has amazing skill to and neither should be undermined as the best players on the ice!

The crazy thing about this whole series is that Crosby and Ovechkin cancelled each other out. If you look at the stats, in the 7 games, they were dead even. Both had the same number of goals and I believe Ovechkin had 1 more assist than Crosby. After all the talk of who is better between the two, the difference came down to the rest of the players on the ice to decide the series, not Crosby and Ovechkin. They both put on a show, but their teammates were the difference makers.

Crosby is clearly better. All Ovechkin has is an nice shot and good speed. Crosby can backcheck, win faceoffs, score, set up plays, dangle, and lead his team to win the Stanley cup.
