Plus Bob Dylan was best known for his song writing ability and not his live shows. Had he been able to sing I bet that wouldn't have been the case. Drummers who don't sit down and use a base drum have a disadvantage to the ones who do, that's just a fact.

Glasvegas were great live at the show here in Dallas. They seemed quite surprised at the turnout we gave them. I suppose they expected much less from such a dead city.

@ilburych I suppose you think other great songs with similar simple percussion are shit, ie., "Sometimes" by My Bloody Valentine or perhaps just about anything Phil Spector produced. You might be better off getting your kicks to Rush or something as equally flamboyant percussion-wise.

Not personally, but the general concensus among almost everyone I know is that Glasvegas are awful.

I never said they only appeal to Scots, infact I was stating almost the opposite of that.

Their fanbase is predominately English as they rely heavily on their over egged accents, which have been so overdone fhey hardly sounds Glaswegian. The worst of all is that they're from Airdrie - not Glasgow, which is like comming from Hampshire and claiming to be Cockney. It's a gimmick.
