I'm a first time RC buyer and I just got one of these yesterday. Even after getting it in-trim, I am still learning how to fly it. I can tell you have some real skill to to fly so well. Now I have something to shoot for, I have to make that pool shot, lol.
If you are this good with a 2-cell battery, try a 3-cell one. I have tried this with great success with the Blade CX (old FM kind). The CX2 might not work though. The voltage boost allows me to bail out of fast dives which are otherwise unmanageable with the normal battery.
@MRlowrider305 We did some aluminum head mods, more for blingl and durability than performance. They are not necessary for flying and add weight which is a downside on such a small helicopter. Batteries have gotten much better and cheaper since we started flying and now using 20-30C rated Turnigy batteries.
@stirwena Try upgrading to a Turnigy 20-30C rated lipo, much better performance. Hovering also uses the most power. If you can keep it moving, you might get longer flight times.
i just got mine today its my first ever heli and im already hovering, doing spins while hovering ,forward and rearward flight, spot landings and touch and gos its so easy to fly im 17 and my brother is five and i would let him try its that easy and on realflight G4 i flew align trex 500 and was doing crazy 3d moves loops rolls inverted flight the people in the hobby shop i was playing realflight in were amazed i was such a good pilot for having never flown
if you fly the cx2 for about 6 or 7 months then you should upgrade to the blade 400 3d then after flying that for maybe a year or so go up to a raptor 50 (it's a nitro heli) that is what i did.
hhmmm i wouls suggest the blade mcx its most durable and almost imposibl to break i only have 1 heli and its mck it rocks! it is rlllllllly easy to fly and around 140$ so ya i would buy mcx+mcx comes wit battery and chaarger and transmiter
Its a great idea, it was my first helicopter and I picked it up quick. Just start with learning to hover in place then start moving once your confident your hover is good.
Nice piloting. Your last 10 seconds looks like my first 10 weeks, till I realized by CX2 had a broken swashplate. Now I am flying high. I am going to try that rubber band trick.
hey like the video and all the tricks. hey i was wondereing has this heli jad any problems in the motors or the lipo battery or the control ... thanks again!!!!!
Very good control with that heli... Keep it up. It wouldn't surprise me to see you move up to a CCPM based heli in the future and post 3d flights here.
Nice work on the video too.. Both capture and editing.
wel now that there are upgrades, try putting on the aluminum bottom rotor head, keep ur aluminum swashplate, and add an aluminum motor cooler since the motors are not brushless and can overheat in flight
There were no upgrades at the time this video was shot. It came stock with the aluminum top head piece. We added an aluminum swashplate later (no difference). We tried shortening and lightening the stabilizer bar, more maneuverable but high risk of blades clashing together or crashes. Returned it to the stock configuration...fine for indoor flying. Not ment for fast forward flight outdoors.

Fuck that... A blade of grass hit my wings and shattered them... twice... had to spend 40 extra bucks for carbon fiber. Risky to fly indoors.

Now if you can get the Blade CX2 to wipe your bottom with the TP you will have earned your genius pilot wings.
You are on your way with the nice practice work here. :-)

i dare you to try that with a cp or 400

The rubber band trick was really hard for me. I was trying to get it one the front of the skid, but that never worked out.
uhrik 2 years ago
VERY creative!
I wouldn't have though of half of those stunts!
And it looks like you got your cx2 adjusted very well, judging by how still you can keep it with no drifts.
Great job! Favorited.
