omg this so makes me want another one I own a Pure breed boxer that is a rescue he is now 2 1/2 even though he's not a small fry he is still my puppy and i got my baby at 7 months so he was almost full grown so I never had one this small but i was glad i could give him a great home and a great mommy i love my baby Brutus he is also my best friend i flip when i see other boxers i just have to play with them there so cute and smart there attractive dogs and awesome

They dock their tails because a boxer's tail is incredibly strong, and if it breaks, it's going to hurt a hell of a lot worse having it amputated than having it docked when their nerve endings haven't fully developed.

Keep in mind, that a tail isn't like an arm, it's not one continuous bone, it's like a spine, and if they injure themselves in the tail, it will permanently be deformed, and will have to be removed for the dog's sake.

There is nothing cruel about docking a boxer.

the tail was docked in early years because thy used to set two or three at a time on bears thats why they have short noses dew claws are part of the thumb bone (so they didnt break once they got hold) and they have short energy bursts, not desgined for running but for pinning and holding large prey. the ears were pinned because large flappy ears are easely torn by claws.

Yeah in germany its forbidden, but not only in germany it is fobidden. In many other countries too. For example the netherlands and many other europe countries.

And there is seriously no important reason to 'dock' the tail. They just did it, so the backbones of the boxer improves more in growth. (Sorry for my bad english ^^)
