we've had two investigations near there, when you drive by there the stacks are HUGE!!!!! biggest thing i've ever seen.

I worked there for over 20 years. Took lots of pictures. No problem. It's not a nuclear plant. They just burn a lot of coal.

@jchambers2586 I probably do somewhere. But the turbine-generators looked about the same as in any other .power plant I've been in. I work outages in nuclear plants now and the turbine-generators are much larger, due to much lower temperature and pressures + higher generator output.

i worked there for nearly nine months and we replaced six sets of the 500kv breakers in that substation.the static coming off the lines would eat you alive in a manlift.

o man no way would i have a video camera out at a power plant. next thing the black choppers start showing up, no videos from GARailfan for 3 months, anyone hear from him? :) i know bowen gets 3 trains a day but only once have i heard one on the scanner and it was an empty already going back through junta. i would love to snag one between cartersville and stilesboro

took my boys by there today. Amazing sight, sitting there in the middle of the country in rural Bartow county. Plenty of houses within 1/4 mile. *I* wouldn't live that close.
