  • Comment removed

  • CCR is comming back....thanks..bye.*john..Hamilton,Ontario

  • this guy is imortal!

  • He's John Fogerty!!! He's from California!!! He is THE Californian Man!!

  • His name is irish

  • THE BEST

  • Check up on how the Nuge kept out of Vietnam. He's a real hero. He's just a decent guitar player that likes to kill stuff that can't shoot back.

  • The South will rise again? John Fogerty & CCR are the SF Bay Area's own Bayou boys--they're from El Cerrito, California, right next to Berkeley. John's politics are quite mainstream for around here. He's no communist, just a garden-variety liberal. Hasn't changed his politics in 40 years.Still opposing illegal wars and rule by plutocracy. GOOD FOR HIM!!!

  • @leknox Hey, I oppose illegal wars, and rule by plutocracy too, but I'm not a "liberal." Can't we all agree to follow the constitution? By the way, why is the "liberal" Barack Obama not opposing illegal wars now? Could it be he is the plutocracy, or ruled by them?

  • @watutman

Bush fell into Bin Laden's trap like the fool he was and continues to be. The IRA was beaten by intelligence not carpet bombing the wrong state.

  • @leknox He's a populist actually, but, why mince words? He's a helluva good singer. I only wish I'm going as strong at 65.

And, not one grey hair...do you guys have the fountain of youth or what?

  • @leknox I can't take it no more, I'm sick and tired of your dirty damned wars!

    God bless John Fogerty!

  • Fuck Toby Keith, Fogerty could kick his ass anyday.

  • shut the fuck up. CCR are the most under-rated band ever. Together with Lynard Skynyard we owe them a lot.

    The South will Rise Again.

  • John plays as Clear Water Revisited and donates all of the profits to the Veterans. He's not a communist, he is 100% American.

  • I like Fogerty alot, grew up with him, and will still listen to him but he needs to ditch the communist crap and support the real patriots. When is he gonna sing a patriot song for our troops and the support the war on terror. Toby Kieth, Charlie Daniels, and Ted Nugent are great examples.

  • Supporting a war on terror and the war in Iraq are not the same . If you think the two have anything in common then you have been living under a rock for the last 6 years . I support the troops , as does John . I don't support this useless war .

  • Ted Nugent is a lunatic shithead! Fuck him right up his shite-encrusted arsehole. Fogerty is the man...

  • exactly, Ted Nugent is sooo pro war, but he dodged the draft, he's big talk, but time to show up, he runs off and shits his pants, literally!

  • His views on Iraq: "Our failure has been not to Nagasaki them." The fuckin' murderous prick!

  • although i HAVE listened to ted nugent's music, and it is FUCKIN GREAT in fairness, he just happens to be a raving madman is all...

  • Even if it's true this war is for oil, why should we give a shit, we own all of those oil companies. We built them with American Manpower, and we paid for them, and we've never been paid back.

My solution is to blow up all the mideast oilfields and nuke the whole mideast, thus wiping out 99% of the terrorists.

Then the world can depend on us for our oil supplies.

Anyway, are you ready to shoot the raghead terrorists on US Soil if we cut and run from the war in Iraq.

I AM, AND WILL DO SO.

  • Ahhh, ok, spew radioactive waste across one-third of the world, AND kill hundreds of millions of innocent people, AND precipitate another world war.

Go back to your bunker, fella. Your kind of mentality serves no purpose anymore.

  • Riiiight ... babies are terrorists, and young mothers are terrorists, and little hungry kids are terrorists.

Anyway, no president is going to 'nuke' any part of the world, because no president is that crazy.

Obviously you have a hatred of anything other than your very small corner of the world. Unfortunately for you, your kind is dying out, because your attitude causes the world's troubles in the first place.

So back into your bunker with you!

  • you must of not paid attention in your grade school world history

  • What is "Yellowcake"?

    It's what makes nuclear bombs.

Saddam had it when he was in power. Iraq began shipping it to Canada over the last 2 weeks. Canada will use it in their nuclear power plants.

This "Yellowcake" is no longer in the hands of terrorists, thanks to President George W. Bush

    One of our greatest presidents

3000 people who died on 9/11/2001 is not based on lies.

We shoot the terrorists in Iraq or we shoot them here. That's your only choice.

You never lost anybody in 9/11 did you We did

  • what was the name of the first song he sang???

  • BLAH!

  • John Fogerty is quite possibly the coolest man on Earth.

  • agreed 100%

  • lord you better ruuun!

    yeah!

    this man is a genius!

    long life to john fogerty!

  • monster huge drummer is kinda too hard on the drums..

John rules, his voice is great!! :))

  • It almost excuses the Bush presidency if it can generate such brilliant outrage. John Fogerty can still burn it down.

  • His talent is so pure and raw.

  • WHAT A BRILLIANT MAN & SO SEXY TOO.

  • What an amazing KICK ASS singer-songwriting marvel!

  • Someone said that John Fogerty had Dylan influence...could be....I dont't think Fogerty needed influence from Dylan, whom I also love..its apples and oranges. I think he put more stock in some of the crusty old, black musicians, backwoods bluesy-jazzy bayou players.. pioneers of the 50s and 60's..but he clearly was, and is, following his own musical instincts, which continue to be brilliant, almost super-human at his age...he is a beast.

  • cbak12sg:

Brownie = former FEMA Director Michael Brown

    Dickie = Dick Cheney

  • Here are 3 great patriotic performances on youtube:

1)Bright Eyes, "When the President Talks to God," from Leno's show, 2005

    2)This one

3)Bruce Springsteen with the Seeger Sessions Band, "Bring 'Em Home," from Conan's June 23, 2006 show.

  • I'm gonna see Fogerty in June... The guy is so incredible!!! 5 stars!

  • Im also going to see John Fogerty in June, at the Manchester Appollo. I CANT WAIT!!!

  • I'm a Brit who loves the music this man makes. Saw CCR at the Albert Hall twice all those years ago, and JF himself at the Apollo Hammersmith nearly two years ago. One question: who are Brownie and Dickie?

  • VP Dick Cheney and Michael Brown,

the former director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency during Hurricane Katrina.

  • Fogerty may be slightly older than Letterman, but he looks fresher! Sounding great too!

  • Going to see him this summer in Moncton, NB, an outdoor festival that also includes the Eagles, shoud be great

  • what a legend i love this guy seen in melb aus what fantastic show

  • Great, especially I Can't Take It No More, his best in how long, Fogerty's fucking great! Love both the Little Richard meets the Ramones sound and the lyrics blasting our bullshit asshole prez.

    Thanks for posting!

  • I dont want to offend anyone but John clearly got alot of influence for this song from Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues.

  • John is BRILLIANT I wish hed come to Yorkshire in England hes the best EVER.

  • wow stealth thats sayin somethin! cosmos factory was damn near a studio "greatest hits" album. i mean every damn song on that one rocks. i'm gonna get revival tomorrow!

  • What a performer!!!!and what a G-R-E-A-T album "revival" is! His best since "cosmo`s factory"

  • Kenny Aronoff is havin a fuckin ball playin for him

  • John Fogerty is up there with Lennon/McCartney,Jagger and Richards! Good protest song John!

  • John Fogerty, American Hero.

  • im only 16 and ive seen john 6 times and they have been the best shows that ive ever seen and at the last show in the orpheum theatre in boston i got one of kennys drum sticks

  • Simply the best performer for your money

  • This is REAL ROCK & ROLL KIDDIES!! Way back when I would first PLAY Creedance Lp'S "ON THE AIR" Before anybody actually knew the groups PERSONAL NAMES,as the 45's would SPIN I began to see the name FOGERTY under the song title,I WOULD THINK TO MYSELF "THIS SONGWRITER OF THERE'S IS A HELLUVA SONG WRITER" turns out it was JOHN.Keep ON Keepin'On,JOHN!! THEMOJOMAN(.)COM

  • BTW: Fogerty has done more for keeping plaid, flannel shirts in vogue than any marketing campaign the likes of Calvin Klein or the marketing wizards of Madison Avenue could conjure up. L L Bean should give him a share of the profits of their shirt sales. :)

Sorry .. it's late .. I love Creedence, Fogerty .. the whole myth he created .. John's back with a vengence.

  • He and Neil Young. J Foge is the greatest

  • man .. it took Fogerty a damn long time to get back to his roots and what he and the world loves best ... the rockin, unique creedence soundin .. hidden message of angst .. simmering up and hitting you in the fact like the heat on a putridly hot August night on a Virginia Bayou ... Just like in Poltergeist .. He's BACK !!! :)

  • john + kenny = kick ass!!

  • band and John sound great together, more interesting than a lot of Creedence stuff

  • Gee, John, stop sugar-coating it and tell us how you really feel. LOL.

Seriously though, I agree with you....

  • my earliest recollection of music was "Long as I can See the Light" and "Cross Town Traffic" thank you John, thank you Jimi...this vid was a super post, thanks for posting

  • john fogerty=rock n roll un crowned king of timeless gems that make you think as well as dance...maybe the best ever including elvis !

  • No maybe about it. J Foge is the greatest ever

  • Does the bloke ever age!!! Great stuff.

  • This guy is endlessly great

  • DAMN ! .. did you ever see John when he didn't NAIL it ! ! .. f'n cleanest picker I ever seen ..

  • What a beautiful transition at the near end.

  • back up band suck what the fuc? amazing stuff

  • Sure with he'd get rid of the back-up band (which kinda suck, esp. that drummer!) and get Stu Cook and Doug Clifford back and revive the true Creedence Clearwater Revival!

  • John Fogerty is a national treasure. Long Dark Night and Can't Take It No More are not Fortunate Son and Proud Mary, but they are very good, indeed. And Fogerty's voice is still a marvel.

  • I missed it on TV, so Thanks for posting it! Nice!

  • greats songs, rock`n roll at its best. hope to see him next year in germany, thx for the video

  • Hendrix' voice sounded like his guitar. I lean toward Fogerty for all the same reasons. Man, you still gots it! Been listening and playing like you since I was 11. You let'em have it John. Makin' some sense!!!

  • John Fogerty is King.

  • unfookin believable...rock is back. hail john.

  • This new stuff even rocks harder than Creedence! Go man go!

  • Jesus is John Fogerty immortal? He looks 35.

  • I thought the same thing 20 years ago when he released "Centerfield"...and now he looks the same again. What's up with that!

  • John is simply the BEST!!!!

  • Man I been listening to this guy for 40 years.and he still blows any artist of the last 20 years off the fucking stage...tear up the top 20 of today............its all crap..........FOGERTY rocks

  • Right on budway! this song kicks ASS! I never heard this before, NICE!

  • Oh yeah!!

  • fogerty just rocked out and shows he still owns the stage.

  • Missed this when it was on Letterman, thanks for posting it!! Saw John in concert Friday night at the Mohegan Sun Casino, it was FANTASTIC!!!! Two rockin' hours and he never even worked up a sweat!!

  • Yeah never saw this either, thanks for posting it. I saw his concert in Auckland too and loved every minute of it.

  • long live classic rock !

  • Dudes! Niel Young n Fogerty gotta get together n do somethin´

  • Words sting a little bit Quake? Good, I hope it opens your eyes. What an awesome performance! The "Old Man" still rocks em at 62! A true Hall of Famer, has a voice that can cut a diamond, and nobody, and I mean nobody, can write a song like JC Fogerty. Glad you're back John....

  • Saw him when he played Auckland New Zealand - I think it was the best concert I have ever seen.

  • John Fogerty can school anyone's ass in how to rock and roll like a MF.

  • Hell yeah

  • Glad to see John's cleared up his legal woes with Fantasy Records and can finally get back to making kicking rock n' roll against the man.

  • He's back!

George W., get out of the way!

  • He's the Boss, the Boss's Boss!

    (Springsteen's Boss) :)

I saw him in Montreal this summer.

62 candles, 2 and half hours of show, only one shot of water! Amazing. Great Voice, Powerful.

    Long Live John!

  • we saw John in Ohio this summer, it was a four hour drive and worth every mile, he is one of the greatest singers/songwriters EVER, and the guys from CCR only wish they had the talent he has. I have not heard a bad song from John, even the ones that were not played on the radio are true classics. And I agree with searcherboy, FOGERTY KICKS ASS!

  • We saw John in Toronto this summer. He is the greatest!! The new album is destined to be a classic.

  • LoL He's... the best

  • He still rocks. Revival is definitely his best solo album.

  • He's Still got it

  • Thanks, groover! John's new album ROCKS!!! Buy it, folks!

  • Go to General Discussion on the official

Fogerty website and read thread Lyrics please...

  • The lyrics are not yet on line. Any chance one of you folks might write them out for this slightly deaf cat?

  • John Fogerty is simply the best (sorry Tina). What a voice, what a songs. This is the way God wanted rock & roll to sound. His new album Revival is so good. You can't believe your ears.

  • Seriously, NOT EVEN CLOSE, at 62 I can't think of ANYONE else you has maintained his voice and Credibilty as much! Great Stuff! True American Classic, I thought He was 52 not 62!!

  • That's because he didn't "sell out" while he still had royalty issue with his former-now-current record company Fantasy Records. Let's not forget that he spent almost 30 years(!!!) not even darin' to play his CCR gems because of that and that he felt it was too painful to play 'em again. I'm glad he's back to playin' 'em and that he can still do that with the same energy - if not even more - than durin' his Creedence days.

  • His new album is FANTASTIC! There isn't one bad song. Thank God we have people like Fogerty who aren't afraid to tell it like it is when it comes to our idiot President and his disgusting war.

  • great performance Fogerty sounds great, this song rocks!!

  • Man, what planet are you from? If that's what an old man looks like, I say bring on the birthday cake candles. Fogerty kicked ass.

  • wow

  • Thanks for this! I missed it also

  • thanks Grooverf I didnt have chance to see it

    last night !
