to capt777737 man you have a problem can't you talk without using language like that oh and most guys who say they are hung probably have about 3 inches BY THE WAY ROCK ON JOHN
Fogerty has G-Bush's number, alright. Sucker loved cocaine more than flying. "Served" getting high on the payroll of a political campaign. I want a pair of those Turkish shoes.
The South will rise again? John Fogerty & CCR are the SF Bay Area's own Bayou boys--they're from El Cerrito, California, right next to Berkeley. John's politics are quite mainstream for around here. He's no communist, just a garden-variety liberal. Hasn't changed his politics in 40 years.Still opposing illegal wars and rule by plutocracy. GOOD FOR HIM!!!
@leknox Hey, I oppose illegal wars, and rule by plutocracy too, but I'm not a "liberal." Can't we all agree to follow the constitution? By the way, why is the "liberal" Barack Obama not opposing illegal wars now? Could it be he is the plutocracy, or ruled by them?
I like Fogerty alot, grew up with him, and will still listen to him but he needs to ditch the communist crap and support the real patriots. When is he gonna sing a patriot song for our troops and the support the war on terror. Toby Kieth, Charlie Daniels, and Ted Nugent are great examples.
Supporting a war on terror and the war in Iraq are not the same . If you think the two have anything in common then you have been living under a rock for the last 6 years . I support the troops , as does John . I don't support this useless war .
Even if it's true this war is for oil, why should we give a shit, we own all of those oil companies. We built them with American Manpower, and we paid for them, and we've never been paid back.
My solution is to blow up all the mideast oilfields and nuke the whole mideast, thus wiping out 99% of the terrorists.
Then the world can depend on us for our oil supplies.
Anyway, are you ready to shoot the raghead terrorists on US Soil if we cut and run from the war in Iraq.
Riiiight ... babies are terrorists, and young mothers are terrorists, and little hungry kids are terrorists.
Anyway, no president is going to 'nuke' any part of the world, because no president is that crazy.
Obviously you have a hatred of anything other than your very small corner of the world. Unfortunately for you, your kind is dying out, because your attitude causes the world's troubles in the first place.
Someone said that John Fogerty had Dylan influence...could be....I dont't think Fogerty needed influence from Dylan, whom I also love..its apples and oranges. I think he put more stock in some of the crusty old, black musicians, backwoods bluesy-jazzy bayou players.. pioneers of the 50s and 60's..but he clearly was, and is, following his own musical instincts, which continue to be brilliant, almost super-human at his age...he is a beast.
I'm a Brit who loves the music this man makes. Saw CCR at the Albert Hall twice all those years ago, and JF himself at the Apollo Hammersmith nearly two years ago. One question: who are Brownie and Dickie?
Great, especially I Can't Take It No More, his best in how long, Fogerty's fucking great! Love both the Little Richard meets the Ramones sound and the lyrics blasting our bullshit asshole prez.
wow stealth thats sayin somethin! cosmos factory was damn near a studio "greatest hits" album. i mean every damn song on that one rocks. i'm gonna get revival tomorrow!

THEMOJOMAN(.)COM
BTW: Fogerty has done more for keeping plaid, flannel shirts in vogue than any marketing campaign the likes of Calvin Klein or the marketing wizards of Madison Avenue could conjure up. L L Bean should give him a share of the profits of their shirt sales. :)
Sorry .. it's late .. I love Creedence, Fogerty .. the whole myth he created .. John's back with a vengence.
man .. it took Fogerty a damn long time to get back to his roots and what he and the world loves best ... the rockin, unique creedence soundin .. hidden message of angst .. simmering up and hitting you in the fact like the heat on a putridly hot August night on a Virginia Bayou ... Just like in Poltergeist .. He's BACK !!! :)
my earliest recollection of music was "Long as I can See the Light" and "Cross Town Traffic" thank you John, thank you Jimi...this vid was a super post, thanks for posting
Sure with he'd get rid of the back-up band (which kinda suck, esp. that drummer!) and get Stu Cook and Doug Clifford back and revive the true Creedence Clearwater Revival!

Missed this when it was on Letterman, thanks for posting it!! Saw John in concert Friday night at the Mohegan Sun Casino, it was FANTASTIC!!!! Two rockin' hours and he never even worked up a sweat!!
Words sting a little bit Quake? Good, I hope it opens your eyes. What an awesome performance! The "Old Man" still rocks em at 62! A true Hall of Famer, has a voice that can cut a diamond, and nobody, and I mean nobody, can write a song like JC Fogerty. Glad you're back John....
we saw John in Ohio this summer, it was a four hour drive and worth every mile, he is one of the greatest singers/songwriters EVER, and the guys from CCR only wish they had the talent he has. I have not heard a bad song from John, even the ones that were not played on the radio are true classics. And I agree with searcherboy, FOGERTY KICKS ASS!
John Fogerty is simply the best (sorry Tina). What a voice, what a songs. This is the way God wanted rock & roll to sound. His new album Revival is so good. You can't believe your ears.
Seriously, NOT EVEN CLOSE, at 62 I can't think of ANYONE else you has maintained his voice and Credibilty as much! Great Stuff! True American Classic, I thought He was 52 not 62!!
That's because he didn't "sell out" while he still had royalty issue with his former-now-current record company Fantasy Records. Let's not forget that he spent almost 30 years(!!!) not even darin' to play his CCR gems because of that and that he felt it was too painful to play 'em again. I'm glad he's back to playin' 'em and that he can still do that with the same energy - if not even more - than durin' his Creedence days.
His new album is FANTASTIC! There isn't one bad song. Thank God we have people like Fogerty who aren't afraid to tell it like it is when it comes to our idiot President and his disgusting war.
The one thing I always liked about Fogerty was his ability to artfully talk about protest and war. Too bad he's lost that ability and now looks like an old man trying to gain Green Day type cred. This is one album I won't be buying.
I bet you never in the National Guard-- your daddy wrote a check and there you are
Wow. Brilliant music

Man, what planet are you from? If that's what an old man looks like, I say bring on the birthday cake candles. Fogerty kicked ass.
