  • I always find myself singing this to myself.

  • Is it OK if I like Victoria Wood & Tim Minchin? Whatever happened to 'the more, the merrier'?

  • I know people are saying Tim Minchin is better...Alright Victoria's work is aimed at an older generation...a lot of British humor and a lot of things that wouldn't make sense to someone only watching her once or twice. Both extremely funny but both in very different contexts.

  • I really don't get all the comparisons made with Tim Minchin and VW. Other than the fact that they are both musical comedians they are totally different- Minchin is brilliant at talking/singing about quite serious and controversial topics in a hilarious way and Wood is fantastic at observational comedy. They are both hilarious but so different!

  • Personally, the only male i can compare to Victoria Wood in terms of Lyrical style and sense of humour is Noel Coward.

  • No Victoria Wood is the best

, I don't care what anyone says she is the best ever and my fav comedian!!!

  • meh... this is ok...

i heard of her in the context that my fave comedian is "the next victoria wood" but i disaggree. Tim minchin is a hundred times better than victoria wood.

  • Totally agree she is the funniest (comedian) male or female in my opinion she's the only really funny one that makes my stomach and ribs ache so much from laughing and i never ever get tired of listening to her songs and stand up or sketches even if I have seen then a million times and I never will get bored or tired of them. Long Live Victoria Wood The True Queen Of Comedy :)

  • @utubefanno1 absolutely spot on my friend!!

  • she is the funniest woman ever no-one is funny as her

  • this is hurrendous

  • Can someone please upload her stand up act from this show (1997) I know you can get it on DVD from amazon cheaply but I would appreciate it if someone could help out a Victoria Wood fan, Thanks :)

  • @MrJanesaddiction not just people of a certain age but northerners in general, love her

  • would love to see her live she rocks

  • so funny, please come back on tv!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it would be great to see her live on stage or even better meet her in person but sadly i probably wont PLEASE COME BACK ON TV

  • Victoria Wood - they don't make them like they used to!! She is a proper star!!

  • @MsMoem too true!!

  • @MsMoem "tim minchin"

  • Well...!! IF ANYONE DOES'NT LAUGH AT THIS....THEY NEED A PERSONALITY TRANSPLANT...ALWAYS LOVED HER...PURE TALENT, NATURAL GENIUS..:))) Best of BRITISH HUMOUR...COME BACK VICKY?!!!!!

  • "I never had that orgasm,I'm 10 quid up" Hahahahahahaha, she is absolutely bloody marvelous, sheer genius.Saw her twice at the RAH and it was truly magical both times.Apart from the 3 Sloane Rangers,(?),who sat next to me & didn't crack a smile once! I though,"By 'eck, why the chuff did you 3 miserable oiks bother coming?"! Make VW a Dame,NOW! And,DinnerLadies should be on the school curriculum! La-de-da-de-da,dadadada,la-de-da-de-da!

  • @popazz1 Thanks for the fantastic comment. I only saw her once in Sydney, Australia and was not like those silly gits next to you, I laughed til I cried. VW is brilliant!! (Love Dinner Ladies as well).

  • @transmissionends64 ,Oh,you're v.welcome.Observational humour is the ultimate, for me,in comedy. And,whilst not a prude,I fail to see why some comics seem to have this need to sprinkle swearing & obscentities throughout their routines.VW has proved time & again it's un-necessary."Pat & Margaret" was sublime,& "Housewife Number 49" made me weep.In fact,I can't think of anything she'd done which hasn't been simply magical.Put her on prescription, lol.

  • @transmissionends64

when was she in sydney ( what year ) if you can remember that is

thanks your so lucky to have seen her live

  • @utubefanno1 I can tell you exactly (as I kept the ticket stub) it was 5th August 1997. She was absolutely hilarious!!

  • Fantastic song. So funny! Does anyone know if there is any sheet music for this or even any chords? Thanks :)

  • wat a funny woman !! love her songs

  • V W is one of the funniest women around, I don't understand why we don't see more of her on tv.

  • @bpaulpdb1 She retired, unfortunately for all her fans!! Thank god for dvds!

  • @bpaulpdb1 I totally agree, I think she's such a lovely person and her humour is really unique. I think comedy has changed quite alot now and I like comedians of 2009/2010 but I miss her not performing. Im 20 years of age and would love to see her confident and back on stage.

  • @bpaulpdb1 she's sorted of retired - but she did do a christmas special last year or two (if memory serves!) I love her too!

  • @bpaulpdb1

She's still on TV these days, but I agree it's not as much as it should be!

She quit stand-up in 2002, but returned in 2007 and again in 2010 - I think both clips are on YouTube. She did another Christmas special in 2009, and is currently writing a play which will open in Manchester in July 2011. Now don't quote me on this, but I did read that she's planning to do comedy again in the next few years.

(I posted a similar comment on another clip - sorry if you're reading this again!)

  • @bpaulpdb1 Agreed, she needs to come back on tv and cheer us all up

  • @bpaulpdb1 Agreed, she has to come back on TV

  • ive watched this everyday since i found it that was 2 weeks ago, love it fantastic

  • I wonder if she based this song on PAM! or just another Pam...

  • @CodyKunLvsGackt Would that be PAM! from Conventry? I wasn't familar with her awful bosoms but I did recognise her magnificent capa-demonte!!

  • HA HA!! SHE really IS AWESOME!! "Now do get dressed, ive seen one in a book and i was not impressed"!!!!! HA HA

and "She drained her rum and babychame, ran her fingers through her crew cut and said i love you Pam" HA HA WICKED!!!! Loving it!!!
