After I bathe my toddler, I'll use the leftover water to bathe myself, then I'll carry water and feed my grass, trees, and garden. I'll leave 2 buckets to fill my toilette tank for flushes for the next day. I also get exercise while lugging the water downstairs. This system cost me $20 for 2 large buckets and one plastic water pitcher.
