As good as Fred was lets not forget all his dance partners who were doing the same backwards and in high heels, as Ginger Rogers was famously quoted as saying. It's a fair point she makes.
How elegant everything is.....I wonder where it has gone....those dancing shows on TV can't really measure up to those days. And no, I'm not 60 years old, hahahaaa :D
Absolutely correct. There are about 2 dozen versions of "Do you wanna dance" on YouTube and the only one that is even close to this version is the one by Johnny Rivers.
Just great! Too bad there's no longer any appreciation for this kind of grace & style, not to mention dignity. Music was super w/ these photos! Thanks for sharing.
For the love of dance,
Is it acceptable to both
Weep
and Rejoice
at the same Time?
(thank you for this heart beat)

I've listened to this, and watched it now dozens - maybe hundreds - of times....
And I never get tired of it.
There is grace in the music, in the imagery - and most especially - in the intrinsic compilation of both.
Mr. Astaire would be so pleased.

This arrangement stands alone! Just ask Bobby Freeman. He has called this dynamite. I enjoyed the video as well. Thank you.

Do you wanna dance was originally done as a hit in the late '50's and name of group escapes me at the moment.

O.K. Do You Wanna' Dance was originally a hit by Bobby Freeman released in 1958, more up tempo than this one. I was a sophomore in high school.
