Thanks for the comment, but according to the "national trust guide/website", "peak district and Derbyshire tourist info" that Ilam is on Derbyshire...if your info is correct then these websites and tourist info guide are misleading the people then.
yes they are misleading if you live in Ilam then you pay your council tax to "Staffordshire Moorlands District Council".but we are use to every body thinking that the Staff Moorlands are in derbyshire.the reason why is because both buxton and ashbourne are just over the boarder.Theres a old saying around here "the best places in derbyshire are in staffordshire"
i'm not being funny but Ilam is on the staffordshire side of the river dove which means Ilam is in staffordshire.
