Please bring back the old toggle mobile data widget. The one that was one click to force disable, another click to force enable, the last to put JD back in charge. The newer widget sucks. I won't update JD until that widget is brought back!

He makes a true claim. He says juice defender is free...not juice defender plus and juice defender ultimate, which make up the different things. So legally he is correct. For those of u that love casinos, that's like seeing a casino sign bragging about "98% return on our slots!" Lookes good? It says "slots"...it can take as little as two slot machines to legally qualify as the mentioned plural...but u don't see it that way. That's the point

I tried Juice defender and it was too complicated with too many options. After uninstalling juice defender, my network shuts itself off when I'm using the phone. It only shuts off for a second or 2 but it's annoying. I think juice defender messed up my phone.

It is shit. When i use task manager to kill apps. Juicedefender takes the credit saying it doubled my battery life. N free version is worse

It's not "completely free" as he claims. But I've been getting good battery life from the free version. I'm about to take the plunge to Ultimate mainly for the wifi control and cause I don't want to but Plus and then decide I should've gone Ultimate. Besides, $5 is definitely cheaper and more efficient than a spare battery.

it took a little playing with ulitmate jd 3.5.6..i no longer carry 4 batteries ever day...i only need 2....usage includes watching movies, texting, surfing web, file xfers and actually making/recv calls.. and yes i have ever type of mobile charger available...it does more than just turning on/off your wifi...a hell of a lot more....htc evo 4g rooted vaelpak 3.2 rc2 using htc stock kernal.......it works and its the only app i'm glad i bought...

@XtabanTM Most people don't have 4G on at all times.. unfortunately though, this app won't make a difference once your networks are running, be it 3G or 4G, as that is the goal of this app. It turns off your networks when your screen is off unless you're streaming something.

Completely free, my ass. The FREE (limited) version is absolutely free, OF COURSE. But that one sucks!

Instead of paying ~5$ for it, you'd better buy a portable mobile charger and you'll achieve so much more than with this application which just turns off Wi-Fi/Data when you fail at doing so.

@Formhault Agreed. I purchased a used battery from eBay for $4, and I cannot tell the difference between it and the six-week-old one that came with the phone. I also have charging docks at work, home and in the car.

The plus version is probably worth it, but IMO the ultimate version is overpriced.

Having said that, I have not yet evaluated JuiceDefender, so I don't really know what it can do...

@wizardprang This app does what you can from the Gingerbread Notifications pulldown (or pulldown switches like Cyanogen or MIUI) -- enable/disable Wi-Fi/2G/3G. + it eats battery, no matter how many times they claim it DOESN"T.

Optimisation applications suck. The best optimisation is done via kernel and base drivers ONLY.

The way it works is,it disables some functions of your phone that you do not use that often.

Such as background data,instead of keeping it on all the time,you can set it to turn on every 30 minutes and download the stuff(such as facebook updates,emails etc.

You can also set to dim the screen in a short amount of time. They're are alot of options, I myself am trying to learn everything.
