Maybe I read into the movie too much but it's no wonder the creators of Scott Pilgrim saw the brilliance of this song and created the awful Envy Adams to personify a puppet on stage robbing the true art.

I also heard Emily when she was talking about the track list for Fantasies, she laughed that Freddie was had too much of a life of its own to be on the album.  It's good though.
