If we do a major overhaul to a product we may charge a nominal *upgrade* fee which is optional to the user. We don't look to do paid upgrades often. We assure you that as our customer there won't be constant requests for fees to upgrade.

@riann102 Paste? If you have a video to upload to YouTube, you can just follow the usual process (please be mindful of YouTube's guidelines for uploading content).

My question is this: can the download be processed with other video editing software so that its segments or scenes maybe used when making another, unrelated video? For example, can I download with Applian video recorder software and then send the download for further editing into Coral video studio X2 to use various segments/scenes?
I downloaded the demo version and there have been problems with it.
(1) Some youtubes won't get saved, even after a good number of attempts, or refreshing the page, or closing Catcher and opening it again and retrying. Sometimes with clips which are one of a series posted by the same user (the others can be captured)..
(2) If I go to other pages in my browser (open a new tab) while clips are being captured the title of the clip will often be replaced by the url of another page.
@TheMaster7461 So you should see an icon on your desktop for replay media catcher - to open it just double click on the icon. If you don't have a desktop icon then go to your list of programs and double click on replay media catcher there.

@JMB19998 Every site has different rules regarding their material and what you can and can not do. So it's a good idea to check what specific sites allow. And then of course if you copy something for your personal use - think VCR/DVR you won't get in trouble but if you copy something for personal gain then you will. There is a legal section on the Applian website if you want to learn more....

I need help, when I record YouTube videos, it does not even do anything... I am trying to record "Courage Fail" by failblog (failblog.org) on YouTube but it will not record, I am using Replay Media Catcher 4. Do I need it on Fullscreen? Do I need to do something? I click "Record on Demo Mode" and then I start the video but nothing happens. I used to use Fraps SOMEHOW on a video... on my Dear Fred video it says "fraps.com" on the top, but I forgot how.
@Sinic4 Hi - If you have watched the video before you try to record it Replay Media Catcher won't capture it because it's already in your temporary storage. Close your browser - and clear your temporary storage (video cache) and then open replay media catcher and THEN play the video. That should do the trick. I hope that helps.

@iLieAboutMyAgeLOL You are using the converter that is built into Replay Media Catcher? And having these issues - I think it'd be best to contact Applian Tech support I am sure they can help. You can reach them by clicking on the support tab on the applian website - I haven't seen these issues before.
@1999tomnbmnb23 Why don't you go to the home page at applian dot com - enter the sites you are trying to record and see if Replay Media Catcher is even ABLE to download those sites. There are certain sites and protocols that it CAN'T capture - only Replay Video Capture can record EVERY site. I hope that helps.

@chelle797 What site were you trying to record? Youtube? Was it a video you had already watched? If the video is in your cache it won't record - can you clear your cache and try again?

Especially avira and avg they are bad ones! i think that nod32 is good one i recommend have only one antivirus because antiviruses cause most lag! @pwrox421 Yes you have to be super careful about the whole virus/anti virus thing. That's why we have our programs scanned - and I always research the name of a virus or antivirus before taking action on my PC - you never know when it's going to be a scammy fake warning.

So you looked there and your can't find your recording? And you are sure that the video you wanted to record was captured? If that's the case then you will need to let tech support know. Oh you are absolutely right. If you are using Replay Media Splitter for the editing you will need to convert the FLV file to a format it accepts - like WMV - and ReplayMedia Catcher can convert it for you using the built in converter - just go to tools/converter - select your file to convert and select wmv. I hope that helps.
There isn't a way to record video without sound using Replay Media Catcher - we did create a way to strip sound out of a video using Replay Converter though. And if you go to our forum you will see other folks discussing this very topic. Thanks for the great question!

If you downloaded it with Replay Media Catcher the default is My Documents/My Recordings. Did you look there?

It defaults to my documents my recordings - but you can set it up to record anywhere. just adjust the settings - go to settings and at the top of the window you will see a link to the storage directory - you can set it for anywhere you want. okay doke?

Yes - BUT on YouTube you can Capture and Convert the videos for Free at 100% - that language is also on the reg screen is it not? Did you try it on YouTube?

This is a crock of shit. When you go to play the file, you are prompted with a window "Register? In demo mode, only 75% of each recording is saved. Would you like to register now for full functionality?"
