Yes,you are correct, however, at the same time not. Ramune does come from the english word Lemonade, BUT was a mispronunciation at the time, missing the "de" part of the last syllable of lemonade, mimicing it as if the word in English was "Lemonay" Your last fact is correct, but yet again, what does lemonade taste like? Like lemons or lime, which you have also stated. And no, they weren't imported at the same time, but they were imported AROUND the same time period.

I think it should be noted, that although Japan is really cool and all, this particular bottle was actually designed by Hiram Codd, an Englishman. The name of this drink, Ramune, comes from the word Lemonade, and both lemonade and this bottle were imported from the UK at the same time, which contributes to why this drink is even called Ramune.

agreed :D also this is like the best drink ever blows all amercian sodas out of the water. also each bottle only contains 70 calories. intresting that such a delicious drink can be so light on ya. the bottle opening is also quite fun ^.^ I got to find a place to get like a 6 pack of this. my favorite kind is the origional.

i remember my first time opening a bottle of ramune. it was melon flavor :D i learned very quickly to hold down tight for a few seconds. because i didn't know the first time and it exploded all over me and my car. XD

i totally agree, japan is awsooooooooome. ramune soda is soo good to. My favorite kind of ramune soda is the watermellon and the strawberry kind. I love the ramune candy to the way it fizzes in your mouth is so cool. What kind of japanese candy do you like? -_-"

LAWLS i got to marble out really easily. but in the process it got me hurt. we were playing spin the bottle tackle with it, and the lid broke of. but as we were playing spin the bottle tackle i got some MAJOR carpet burns on my arm and sprained both my knee's but i got it out for someone that wanted it lol.
