  • I was only 1 year old in 1986, but I was born to listen to KISS!!

  • This was one of the last great Kiss albums. When I look back at thier catalog, I would say that after 1978, they started exploring and it was rough for a while. Then they came back with Creatures and then the make-up came off and they had a solid run.

  • we had ourselves a rock and roll party!!!

  • are you joking man.........exsept for lick it up all of the rest of the albums sucked big time .....i remeber waiting to buy the next kiss album and hearing interviews from gene that this is the brother of destroure and the albums were shit............revenge was the come back

  • way too fast

  • i got the highest rated comment =)

  • They are played too quickly

  • Liking this particular time in kisstory is like saying Gary Cherone was the pinacle of van halen..

  • @zootella

there is a BIG difference between the two. I like some of the songs VH produced with cherone (Without You, Fire In The Hole) but this era of KISS brought many KISS Klassics, and some great albums. Im a huge KISS fan and I believe that this era of the band is brilliant. I think musically the line up of carr and kulick might be their best ever. So I'm just saying comparing Gary Cherone to Carr and Kulick is not fair at all

  • @KissArmyLFC touche..I think i might of been T.U.I.that evening...typing under the influence..yer right....rock on.

  • @zootella - Gary walked into a rat's nest. That's all Eddie.

  • Don't feel sorry for Ace. He quit voluntarily.

  • love this song, bruce's solo is awesome.grew up a kiss fan in the 80s,and if you are a true fan you know it wasnt the kool thing to be a kiss fan then.i wore my kiss asylum t shirt to school a many a day.

  • kiss fans tell kiss to bring back the BIG KISS LOGO.....VOTE TODAY

  • THE KISS LOGO IS FUCKING HUGE!!!!!

  • @ericcarr21 my gf says the same thing about my PENIS !

  • @RedTellus LMAO!

  • Great singer.

  • hehe yea, its would be fuckin' cool :D

  • Asylum is my favourite KISS album, its brilliant, very underrated. Non makeup KISS was the best, best lineup Carr and Kulick!!

Musically they were brillioant without the makeup, experementing with different styles of music.

  • Whats up with the bullshit basically kiss tribute band. ITS GENE AND PAUL! Ace is doing his thing and we get new albums by both and chances to see them live. People are stupid

  • I JUST LOVE KISS!!

  • why the fuck did this have 4 thumbs down? The line-up rules Eric can drum 100 times better than Peter and Tommy is great at playing...he's no Ace but he can still play.

  • I agree Kiss is the best they have ever been with Tommy and Eric. Its ace s own fault he couldn't stay off the shit that made him crazy! Not Genes! Not Pauls! Kiss will tear any new bands ass out of the water!

  • yea i saw them last time before year and cant wait for another show.

Line up's great, Tommy's with band for over 20 years and eric for around 15 years, so fuck you idiots who says these bullshits about them...

    sorry for my eng

    R.I.P. Eric, Bruce's the best!

  • well said! i'm seeing them on monday! i'm so fucking excited!

  • @X5h0t3r finally someone that knows the truth im trying to tell all the other kiss so called fans the same thing

    ^^

  • wasnt tommy the assistant of gene but not a member. Also i am quite sure he was aces guitar tech for the reuinon tour. I found his name in a KISS brochure thing at a concert in 1996 to 98 tours.

  • assistant too, but he co/wrote some songs and played guitar parts :)

And remember it was tommy who "learned" Ace old stuffs and all. And who bring KISSology idea :)

  • tommy use to be aces guitar tech and he use to bring peter his dinner at the hotels

  • @corvettemustang1 god i feel sorry for ace. Getting replaced by the guitar tech. Well Kiss is behind him now. He has a better album, and he is touring my country in feburary.

  • @Headcrabs16 Ummm.....Neither Vinnie Vincent, Mark St. John, Bruce Kulick or Tommy Thayer were guitar techs.

  • @clevec4 Thayer was

  • @poolpig Actually, he wasn't. He was the bands personal assistant, but not a guitar tech. He performed many tasks for the band including but not limited to painting Paul's house and cleaning Gene's gutters. But, again, he wasn't a guitar tech for Bruce, Paul or Ace.

  • @clevec4 oh cool

  • @Headcrabs16 he was a guitar tech

  • 20 years? they are good but havent been in for 20 years, tommy has been there for 8 and eric 12

  • well, Eric started with paul in 89', with KISS 91' and Tommy in with band from late 80, he wrote songs, play some guitar parts and stuffs, so its just on you how do you count it :)

    KISS rules

  • I agree, no control there... too much in a hurry!!!

  • Does anyone else think that the instrumental sounds sorta like i was made for loving you

  • Good point i agree 100 %

  • sounds like kiss was on crack that night....could u play it any faster?

  • Wow that KISS logo is huge

  • damn those outfits are more flashy than Dynasty

  • KISS returned to Columbia, SC after a 6&half year absence (Dynasty '79) for the Asylum Tour. They didn't come to Cola for Lick it up or Animalize. I don't know why. I thought Cola was a favorite stop. Black 'N' Blue opened. Whiteface opened in 79. Anybody remember them?

  • Yes. I believe their current Ace imposter, Tommy Thayer, was in Black'N'Blue then. Never heard of Whiteface. Lick It Up was not a very successful tour, and I know they played Charlotte and Greenboro for Animalize. They may have also played Fayetteville, NC too. My first KISS show was Crazy Nights at the "real" Charlotte Coliseum, Sunday, February 7th, 1988. I wouldn't pay to see them now. It's basically a KISS tribute band.

  • Whiteface was out of Atlanta. They had an LP on Mercury. There were some bands from Atlanta around that time like Atlanta Rhythm Section and Mother's Finest. Whiteface never really got any national airplay plus their LP was never really promoted. I guess they were big in Atlanta, but never caught on anywhere else. I saw Crazy Nights in January 1988 at The Scope in Norfolk, VA. Ted Nugent opened.

  • grat songgg

  • well i've been a kiss fan since 76 and i also think kiss had great songs in the 80s. i remember hearing tears are falling on the radio first time in 1985.man those days we're great i really miss the 80s.

  • @5372412

    true.

and to be honest, I feel sad that we never came to know how their career and music developed if there never had been a reunion. I have a feeling we lost some good songs to come.

  • R.I.P. Eric Carr.........

  • One of my fav KISS songs ever. Eric Carr was my inspiration to learn how to play drums as much as Paul Stanley was inspiration to sing (even though I suck at singing).

  • Please tell your kids that KISS was also great in the 80's! There were some great songs by this band from 82 to 89!!

  • more the tour asylum please!

  • I was this tour when they came to Seattle,W.A.S.P. opened for them, both bands kicked ass =)

  • This was a great tour musically for KISS. It really was a turning point for the band as they started to come together as a foursome again....Eric Carr was an amazing drummer...RIP Eric!

  • I've been waiting for a live recording of this song fram that tour, so...THANX

  • I've waiting for a live recording of this song from that tour, so.. THANX!!

  • Thanks for this one.

  • rare

  • Great song from a great album and tour
