@Rakkfar I have 2 Dodge diesels. One is a 95 12 valve with 564K. It's rated at 500 lb/feet of torque and it still gets 20mpg. Personally I like getting 20 mpg while still having half again as much torque as a gas truck....but if you prefer to have only 300 lb/ft of torque, 20mpg, and a life of 250k be my guest. It's not really a matter of heavy weight vs light weight as much as some one with common sense vs someone who wants an image....albeit a pathetic one

About the bail out issue, between Ford, Dodge and Government Motors. Ford never jumped on the bail out wagon, to begin with. I should have an Idea about it, because half of my entire family works for Ford. What it boiled down to was people were not buying alot of Gm or Chrysler cars. Who can afford a almost 40,000 1/2 truck from Gm or Dodge when fords were still priced so much lower. Ford had the advantage of lower priced cars. Just browse a few lots, and compair prices. Not all fords are cheape
i think a more fair comparison would be 1/2 ton truck vs 1/2 truck, the titan would outpull a dodge pound for pound any day i believe. the only reason dodge sells any trucks period is because they have to put the cummins engine that ford owns in them.

I have put maybe a total of 1/4 gallon of water in it since. Its a gasoline engine and I use Delo 400 diesel motor oil in it. I do know I had a 1981 Datsun 200sx uglymobile lol and it overheated and didnt ruin the engine like the new aluminum heads/

I had a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. It overheated for 2 minutes and ruined the whole damn engine. @PowerstrokeForever I'll tell you something I'm not the biggest fan of midsized trucks and also I love american trucks my silverado has 450000 miles of hard ass work on it and still runs (engine swap for 454 with a supercharger at 165000) but I recently bought a frontier (which costed more than the colorado it's american competitor) and it is a great midsized truck. Can I pull a powerstroke? NO! thats retarded! but even with only a vq40 it is more capaple offroad than my almost 600 horse chevy!

About the bail out issue, between Ford, Dodge and Government Motors. Ford never jumped on the bail out wagon, to begin with. I should have an Idea about it, because half of my entire family works for Ford. What it boiled down to was people were not buying alot of Gm or Chrysler cars. Who can afford a almost 40,000 1/2 truck from Gm or Dodge when fords were still priced so much lower. Ford had the advantage of lower priced cars. Just browse a few lots, and compair prices. Not all fords are cheape

i think a more fair comparison would be 1/2 ton truck vs 1/2 truck, the titan would outpull a dodge pound for pound any day i believe. the only reason dodge sells any trucks period is because they have to put the cummins engine that ford owns in them.

I have put maybe a total of 1/4 gallon of water in it since. Its a gasoline engine and I use Delo 400 diesel motor oil in it. I do know I had a 1981 Datsun 200sx uglymobile lol and it overheated and didnt ruin the engine like the new aluminum heads/

Tell all of you one thing though right here on blowtube. I have a 1986 nissan 300zx 2x2 coupe. I bought it 9 years ago and its still starting the second i hit the key. I had a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. It overheated for 2 minutes and ruined the whole damn engine. Even though Pontiac went out of business I would not have another pontiac even a Firebird if offered one FREE. I'd tell em shove it.

raptors are far more expensive. and im confident i can get much farther up a rocky tight trail and go through the loose stuff better than a heavy raptor can. all you guys are the same on here, you have a different vehicle for every purpose, yes your powerstroke can tow more, but mine costs alot less and rides alot better, and is more capable off road. its also better than the raptor in gas mileage, wheelbase, price, and will outlast a raptor by 100000 miles.its more well rounded, for a lot less.

nope, i have offroad tuned suspension. your lucky to get 200000 miles out of an american truck with a V8. i don't care if you have had a truck go over that, i have too, im giving the average. my truck can do the work i need it to as an aircraft mechanic in the army. maybe you need a powerstroke, but i doubt it, 9 out of 10 people who have them don't need them. and my fronty isn't plastic happy, plastic is a pet peeve of mine. the chevy avalanche introduced the plastic on a truck fad.

@PowerstrokeForever I'll tell you something I'm not the biggest fan of midsized trucks and also I love american trucks my silverado has 450000 miles of hard ass work on it and still runs (engine swap for 454 with a supercharger at 165000) but I recently bought a frontier (which costed more than the colorado it's american competitor) and it is a great midsized truck. Can I pull a powerstroke? NO! thats retarded! but even with only a vq40 it is more capaple offroad than my almost 600 horse chevy!
