  • Ok so look i dont play drums or know Shit about drums(I play guitar).I was thinking of getting a set of drums but i was reading & it said i had to buy some practice pads 2 see if i would like playing drums so

CAN SOME1 PLZZZ TELL ME HOW TO BUY A PRACTICE PAD????

    PLSSS

Cause i dont wanna spend 200,500$ in drums set!

  • go to guitar center in the drum department or any other local music store, and ask them where the practice pads, then you want to pay for it, go to the counter and pay for it. When paying for it with cash you dont have to use exact change, you can give him a bill of equal or greater value of the total price, if pating with credit card you follow the cashiers instuctions on how to swipe your card, you have now bought a practice pad, congratulations!

  • No!!!

i mean how to know which 1 is better then the other because the guy/girl in there doesent give a damn as long as i buy something!

  • dont listen to him. first of all, you need to go with what feels good to you. drums are all about feel. you cannot find that out from any thing online, you must go in to GC or sam ash, and try EVERY single one that the store offers. whichever pad feels 'right' to you, is what you should go with. the same idea transfers over to the real drums.

  • ok if you like want one that like makes a sound then go for like a "remo" one but if you wnt one tht is silent then go for one by "vic firth"

  • that was awesome! lol

  • Practice Pads are NOT drums. But you use them for stick control and so forth - it is one of those you have to master if you want to be a drummer. but if you want to be a good drummer, you have to use both the pad and the drumset.

just eBay it - there are many choices for you available.

  • Right now I myself have a small practice pad that I like, but as I said before I can only use on a snare stand which does not help when your in the car driving on long trips. I would definately consider buying

  • maybe it is just the video sound, but from the sound of you playing it doesn't sound like the surface has enough bounce to it. It sounds like you are playing on wood but otherwise it is an innovative idea. I'm always trying to play mine on my leg but is never works IN the video you take odd breaks when you speak.

  • Thanks for your comment radicallyrad! The surface has just enough bounce to be enjoyable as well as providing you with a great work out, you should just try it out sometime. Let me know where you located and we can possible arrange for you to get your sticks on an OZdrumpad. What do you mean by odd breaks when I speak? English is not my first language, maybe that's what you are referring to?

  • One more thing...the higher pitch noise of the pad is due to the compact size of the pad...the bigger the pad the lower the pitch.

  • No I mean that you say a sentence and then stop for a little while and then continue. The English itself was fine. Thanks for answering my question also

  • My god, He's William Shatner!

  • Give this guy some props. He is the nicest guy on here.

  • pad looks exceptional small.....

theres nothing worse than a pad so small that your sticks keep hitting each other....

  • Yes, indeed, the pad is compact by design. So you can take it with you & play it anywhere. I am not sure why you think that the sticks are hitting one another, because I have no problem with that. You might have mistaken some of the pad noise with stick clicks. Certainly you need some skill to control your sticks, which makes it a great work out. If one can play on a 5" pad you can play on basically any drum. Don't you think? You should try it out before you make the wrong assumption.

  • this is a very good idea, i do, although, think the pad should be alittle bigger but its a great idea and i would pick one up even if it wasnt bigger.

  • Thanks for your comment. I am sure you would enjoy the pad even thought it is smaller. It will certainly give you a good workout. I have a special sale right now. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

  • That's freaking sweet.

  • Awesome pad, where can i get it?

  • If you are still interested in buying a pad send me a message.

  • nice pad, great idea, i just whish the actual pad was a little bigger

  • oversized drummers..haha sick pad

  • i saw the bad at the store..i thought it was for leg only..but pretty cool....surprised

  • Great, but what if you are overweight and the pad won't fit around your big slab of leg? Cool pad nevertheless.

  • I am glad you like the pad. How big is the leg? The OZdrumpad's strap is adjustable up to 20 1/2". If it still doesn't fit the pad is quite stable even without strapping it. Custom extensions are available for oversized drummers at a small additinal cost.

  • at a small additional cost*

  • Thanx for catching the typo...any other topic related comments?
