  • there are about 15 android app markets with user created apps, foreign country apps, learning apps, etcetc. the amazon app store gives away free apps everyday i got the game nova for free about 5 months ago. and about 30 others since. i have apps that let me download movies/stream movies like Netflix for free. music for free. i have n64 ps1 gameboy gameboy advance Sega genesis. and hdmi to bring my entire media center to my friends house, oh and 4 player with bluetooth controllers on 56inch tv.

  • @estripp420 and to top it off everything works just as good as my home computer does. i can tether wifi to my tablet for free and when i'm away from home i'm never not able to have a full user experience. to write a word doc on my phone i go to my home computer via an app and open up word, its so quick with just 3g i can watch a movie on my computer and have it send the screen data to my phone or threw my tablet via phone tether and its real-time no lag.. and i have wmc i can watch tv too..

  • Lol at fandroid saying that you jailbreak your iphone to be like android. Real idiocy. First jailbreak was release in ios about few days after first release of iphone in July 2007 to be able to use third party apps and "customize" your iphone(So customization was first available in ios). While android beta was firstly officially released in smartphones in November 2007. Iphone user jailbreak their phone to improve their phone not to be like android coz android is laggy and unpolished os.

  • i just jail borke my iphone went to download fia now it wont let me go on cydie or winterboard pls help

  • ooh nice voice of yours ,, i do think ur voice is a girl voice :)

  • Do people know the meaning of a cell phone these days? I own the iPhone 4S. Before I had the iPhone 3 that lasted me forever... I'm just a Mac type of person though. Buying a Android is like picking a PC over Macintosh. Good luck with that switch!

PS. Apple makes all their products user-friendly.

  • Nova is on Android and looks way better on a bigger screen

  • @atmasters1 Lmao the iphone has better resolution plus it's the perfect size.. Good luck fitting that Texas instrumental calculator looking phone in your pocket.. These are phones not gameboy pockets my man..

  • I think a jailbroken iPhone is the best phone out there.

  • Thee Laatest JailBreaak Was released today! Visiit this link: bit.ly\latestjailbreak

  • Reeal JailBreak releaseed! GO to this link Noow: latestjailbreak․tk

  • Guys! Use thee link beelow for the lateest Jailbreak: latestjailbreak․tk

  • 1) jailbreaking voids your warrnty

    2) you can't update firmware if you're jailbroken

    3) cydia lags SO MUCH - it's a piece of SHIT

    3) you can't compare apple's build quality with android - android is an OS

    4) the superseeded thing - iphone does that as well -.-

AND you can still update if you're phone isn't "supported anymore" - it's just the manufacturer overlay that isn't supported (though that would require routing)

  • @1080darkness

    1) You can easily use the "repair" function in iTunes to remove the jailbreak, so theres your warranty back.

    2) Yes you can, but you will have to jailbreak it again.

    3) Atleast you can customize your phone. Theres more themes out there then all themes for all the android phones combined.

You dont have an iPhone do you?

  • @HawK047 He obviously doesn't

  • New Jailbreaak has Been Releeased! Just GO to the following site: jailbreaknow․tk

  • Great vid dude....

inexpensive phone? Just depends what job your parents have....

your obviously a lucky guy, hope you appreciate

    :)

  • OMG TY, I am jail breaking my iPhone 4 right now ahahah and thanks for the tips :)

  • i rooted my lg optimus x2 p990 fw2.2.2 (stock) but now its running cyanogen(mod) 7 (fw 2.3.4) Overclocked...

  • The future of android is vibrant, the future of iOS is bleak

  • I guess I would just like to say thanks for making this, considering you didn't have to do it, it was very helpful(:

  • Pretty awesome vid. You have a cute voice. Just putting it out there haha

  • Can you upgrade the Nexus S firmware?

I'm confused between an Iphone and a Nexus S...

  • How are you even comparing a JAILBROKEN iPhone to a STOCK Android phone? I think that proves which one is better right there! No need for your review thanks anyways. Cydia's like the Android Market, yeah except its like Android users turning on there phone for the first time with Cydia and still better lol

  • Jail breaking the iphone is a cheap and second hand way to turn you iphone into an Android device. Actually it won't even do that. It still isn't as functional as an Android device.

  • @WotTehPhok ur right it isnt as functional its 10x more functional

  • @WotTehPhok how? its one thing to assert something, another thing to back it up with evidence.

  • @spacecowboy95 'it safe mode". You know what I mean. Don't be naive.

  • @WotTehPhok i have no idea what that means. i have the same problem you see, should i go for something like the samsung halaxy s2 or an iphone 4 and jailbreak it.

im under the impression that a jailbroken ipone 4 will have access to all the apps that an android phone will.

  • @spacecowboy95 A jailbroken iPhone will always crash and get a message saying "it safe mode" at the top...

  • @WotTehPhok yeah if your still using the iPhone 2G dumbass.........Go upgrade NOW!!!

  • Are you a prepubescent boy or a chick?

  • dumbest video ever

  • My brother has an EVO... POS!!! My iphone 4 is WAY better.. Android reminds me of shitty ass blackberry with its ten quadrillion sub menus.

  • So the non-jailbroken iphone can't compare to a jailbroken one, and yet you are comparing a jailbroken iphone to the stock android os? lol silly ifags

  • this is truly crap ...

  • this kinda makes me want to get an iphone5 when it will likely be announced this summer, my htc incredible hardware is crap and I am now being sent a 4th refurb since my droid incredible is having yet more hardware and software problems, a jailbroken iphone seems like the open functionality that I was originally attracted to with the android OS. This kinda sways me towards the apple hardware. Thanks, great video.

  • What she's not showing is that whenever you try to change the theme, you have to wait like a minute for it to reload, whenever you fuck around adding things, you wait a minute for a "respring" furthermore, I have now got an iPod that randomly goes into Safe Mode meaning a minute wait for safe mode and a minute wait for a respring. Annoying as fuck. It's not meant to be used thus it's slow and unstable :(

  • @TheCritizen u have to wait 5 seconds to respring u must of fucked something up idiot

  • You can do everything that you can do on a jailbroken iphone plus more on an adroid!! Android 10 times better!!!

  • its a girl?

  • This is ridiculous. You're comparing an iPhone with an Android you don't have with you? WTF. By definition you're not comparing anything.

  • @buukyak You do know he made two separate videos for each phone..

  • You cant campare iphone vs android os if you dont have an andoid phone with you

  • @frecm1999 the iphone 4 can be an android if u want it be be [= called themes

  • excellent review.

  • jailbroken iphone 4 beats android

  • @supraking315 i respectfully disagree. the android OS has become far more customizable and versatile. and if not for the simple fact that iPhone isn't an open platform, it might still be the industry champion.

  • Does jailbreaking your iPhone void the warranty? Can you reverse it if you have to return it for a warranty claim?

  • games like N.O.V.A are also on Android market x']

  • he was at xda .... thats an android forum.... he loves android

  • Gotta agree with many of the comments here. You weren't trying to be biased, but you're not really an authority. You know a lot more about what the iPhone can do than you do about what Android phones can do. A lot of the information in this video is wrong or just lacking.

  • turning the music on while you were talking was my cue to leave

  • whats your theme called?

  • how do u get that dropdown bar tweak ?

  • i dont think you meant to be very biased but it came off as such. you didnt have enough knowledge to compare the two. such as after jailbreaking an iphone u get themes and can change icons. with android there are several apps u can download without rooting or "jailbreaking" that completely replaces icon looks and widgets with many diffrent themes. but i will look at your other vids, thank you for the review.

  • You are a very, very, good person for listening to John Mayer lol

  • As much as I love the Samsung Vibrant on the Android platform, I think I may just have to invest in an iphone 4 after your vid. Did I say that? Your vid demonstrates nicely what the iphone4 can do. Interesting that the features / options on a jailbroken iphone 4 resembles an android platform.

Do you find that the jailbroken iphone 4 is still polished? The only problem that I see on an iphone 4 is that viewing streaming video on justin tv looks terrible while on the vibrant, it's crystal clear.

  • how is the battery life now that you have jailbroken your iphone4

  • i don't uderstand,do you have iphone 4 or samsung galaxy s??

  • This guy's recording the video of his iphone 4 with his other iphone

    prick

  • @sevinfold I'm not a guy and I don't have another iPhone. It was recorded with my iPod nano.

  • @TechSaviSolution you sound like a 11 year old boy, but either way your opinion on technology is irrelevant by default.

  • @sevinfold

Rooted Galaxy S with Darky's 9.2 ROM runs circles around any iphone.

  • what was the theme

  • get a rooted android its delicious!!!

  • it's a shame that cydia apps like Lockinfo aren't free...people need apps like this to be free or they will switch to a android phone. I've bin doubting wheter to get an Iphone 4 of Samsung Galaxy S

  • it would be cool if someone made it so you can get the android market and only the android market on the iphone just for the sake of more apps lol someone should do it

  • android black market FTW :D

  • what is jailbreak for iphone anyways and how is it better then a 3g iphone?

  • how to you get the drop downbar? and what's your theme?

  • @GDYP The dropdown bar is Lockinfo from Cydia. I don't exactly remember, but I had some sort of Mac theme installed...(I've changed themes since then, which is why I can't recall it).

  • @TechSaviSolution link to jailbreak iphone 4.1?

  • @imdak1ng It'll be released October 11th: h t t p : / / w w w . mobilesdna . c o m/ news/limera1n-ios-4-1-jailbreak-by-geohot-for-all-idevices-coming-on-11-oct/1776/

  • @GDYP It's called Info Screen and it's a part of Lockscreen Info that you install from Cydia.

  • how to you get the drop downbar?

  • @chanamarrietta not for the iphone 4, though.

  • 1 Thing you dont mention is once you jailbreak and start tweaking you can seriously slow your phone down. Android doesnt have that problem because the system manages memory, and you dont need to use shady 3rd party apps/tweaks. Your right about the market, app store has much more ATM, but the market has grown immensely, and now that 2.0 has made it possible to write 1 app for all android 2.0+ phones the market should grow even faster now. As for build quality, i's HTC, samsung etc not android.

  • Also, you mention multiple vendor's is a bad thing. Well it does suck a bit because of the update delay, but in 3.0 android will be removing sense ui moto blur etc so when google releases the update you will get it, no need to wait for HTC or moto to re-release it. A positive for the 'army' is there are 3 or 4 companies competing with phones thus there will always be new devices with better and better hardware. LG's making a 2ghz phone, and moto is making 1.5 ghz. Ive also heard of duo core.

  • @xxmoney91xx Yeah - although I like the iphone much, seeing new android phones roll out makes me pretty excited. They're pretty awesome phones - can't wait for dual core

  • @TechSaviSolution Yea, duo core would be unreal. So much speed, and multitasking!!!

  • @xxmoney91xx With the iphone 4, I don't notice any speed difference (most likely because of the better specs [vs 3gs & 3g etc]). For the tweaks, they're about as "third party" as Android tweaks are - but they work just as well :) And I'm looking forward for the market's expansion, as most of their apps are more versatile than the iphone's (and I love the widgets).

  • why would you want any other phone then iphone? i get it, to customize it... I have a friend, his adroid phone crashes sometimes, my iphone dosent, and he even downloaded a textmessage theme that looks like the iphones. So yeah, i dunno. I´d go for the iphone, everything you´d want is there. Sure you can go customize your android phone how much you want, but you will never use all those apps and stuff you can make, and you will keep changing it back and forth.

  • android still better

  • Comment removed

  • @Maadiah21 actually that is exactly what it has...

you have an option to install any third party application .... WITHOUT NEED TO JAILBREAK .... but not from the market obviously ... read more into ;)

  • Is this safe for my iPhone? It looks awesome but i don't want to hurt my phone.

  • @mythreebuckeyes It's safe, in my opinion. You just have to watch out for the jailbroken apps that haven't been ported to the ios4 - if you install them, then it might end up crashing the iphone 4 (but that can always be fixed by uninstalling them). Here's a list of compatible/incompatible jailbroken apps: h t t p : / / w w w . redmondpie . c o m / official-iphone-4-and-ios-4.x-cydia-jailbreak-apps-compatibility-list /

  • And about apple.... dont go far.. look at the ipad... they launched the first versions without 3g!! i am sure the technology is still around for 3g.....why didnt they just release teh 3g version straight away? but yeh bac to the iphone... its just a gimic....i mean even the music playbac on it isnt all that... same with the ipod touch's. but even then i have an ipod touch just for games. and i can root my 3g from my htc desire to it lol... can iphone even do that?? no.

  • @shocked1986 Well, not everything on the iphone is a gimick. I noticed that whatever Apple puts on its devices are fairly well-polished. They're sorta like perfectionists - you can't get many things done fast (likened to "catching up with Android's featuers"), but the things you HAVE done are pretty dam good. I won't complain about its music playback at all: h t t p : / / w w w . gsmarena . c o m / apple_iphone_4-review-490p7 . p h p (and jailbreaking = rooting for apple devices)

  • Well again its isnt 'google' eleasing phones its the manufacturers.... and tbh the only real player for andriod is HTC. tbh some of teh technology has been arouund for AGES... simple examples..... VIDEO calling..... apple are advertising it as something they just invented..... and dont forget the simple software update of the magnificent COPY & PASTE. my 6 year old sony ericsson cud copy simple txt lol.

  • @shocked1986 I was referring to the manufacturers who release Google phones as a whole...At any rate, the rest of what you said is true - I kinda wish Apple could speed things up a bit, in terms of "catching up" with features Android has had for ages... *cough widgets would be nice*

  • dont you wonder why you have to jailbrake your i phone to make it do what you want it tto do?

  • @globalasskickas All the time :)

  • dont you wonder why you have to jailbrake your i phone to make it do what you want it tto do/

  • how did you get that drop down?

  • @ORIENT224659 It's called LockInfo - you can download it on Cydia.

  • @TechSaviSolution what about your themes?

  • @ORIENT224659 They're all from Cydia :) I combine some of the themes together, though, to make the phone look just the way I want it.

  • ok tell me wot was the major upgrades from iphone 1 upto 3? 80% of the features were simple software updates. hell they didnt add a flash light till 4g! not to mention no video recording. look at HTC for example..... they just added android 2.2 on the desire WITH 720p video recording. they didnt release a whole new fone to add HD video recording. btw u seen the video playbac on the desire vs the the 4g?? and no the samsung galaxy S doesnt have good quality playbac, so dont compare it with that.

  • @shocked1986 You're partially correct about the firmware updates, but they weren't completely as useless as you say they are. 2.0 brought the Appstore, and that was huge. You may argue that Android phones already shipped with the Market, or that they may already have 720p video recording, but keep in mind that the iphone's been around a lot longer. The technology just wasn't there when the 1st couple of iphones were out.

  • @shocked1986 New Android phones roll out every 3 weeks, each with higher specs & new features...so in essence, Google's doing exactly what you accuse Apple of doing: releasing a new phone to get certain upgrades. Plus, much of the case is that the phone's physical capabilities (hardware) was sufficient for its time, but when new technology required better specs, a new phone with better hardware would have to be made. I'd say that almost any company (not just Apple/Google follows that trend.

  • @TechSaviSolution but they are different company with different flavors :D

  • Thats the reason people seem to find the 4g ALOT faster than the 3gs.

And about the build quality.check on youtube alone to see how many people have already cracked thier apple 4g fones. with a small drop of as little as 1ft. for a fone that costs like $700... it shud be better quality. HTC build quality is alot better.

  • The iphone 4's quality isn't worse than the HTC's (it's a lot more expensive, to say the least). It's just less durable. But yeah, I wished the iphone 4 wasn't so good at cracking - with it's glass on the front AND back.

  • @TechSaviSolution ive had mine since launch day havnet cracked yet and i havent cracked it yet and i have no case on it ;D

  • @bently103 BA lol

  • just wanted to say.... HTC for example release UPDATES to improve a phone whilst apple will wait till they relaese a new phone for little updates. Rememebr COPY PASTE ANYONE??

Did apple really need to release 3 phones and then release 4g? They added LITTLE to each fone from the 1st to 3rd. most of it was simple software updates.

They even reduced the battery life with each new fone and limited the cpu power. The 3gs had a cpu capable of doing 833 mhz but was limited to 600mhz.

  • @shocked1986 Yes, the manufacturer (like HTC) releases updates to their phones, but once any major update comes, a phone is always superceded by another one (eg. the droid eris, for example, won't get any more updates - it's only about a year old). And btw all phones have underclocked cpus to prevent overheating...Just letting you know.

  • @Daazzaa1992 A rooted Android phone is sorta like a Jailbroken iPhone. Rooting an Android phone gives the user root privileges, and allows the user to install tweaks that require root privileges (like the lagfix or a custom ROM). It basically gives the user more freedom with their phone, just how the jailbreak does for the iphone. I actually just bought an iPhone 4 and am actually going to sell my Samsung Galaxy S soon (in a week or so) after I make a head-to-head video comparison review.

  • @TechSaviSolution I went from iphone 4 to galaxy s and now back to iphone 4. Yeah I know right. Here come the haters :\

  • Could you please tell me how I can get the drop bar option for ur iphone? and does it stay on as ur home wallpaper?

  • @williamhltdudu It's called "LockInfo" and can be downloaded from Cydia. The drop-down bar is accessible anywhere, just like an Android notification bar - it does not stay as the phone's wallpaper.

  • you can get flash on iphone also, its in cydia

  • @Ivan1993N Yep - I addressed that in my Rooted Android OS vs Jailbroken iPhone review. But thanks for bringing it up again - it's a good point.

  • It's nice to hear such a neutral review.

  • Could you please tell me how I can get this nice wallpaper on your pages (blue/purple)?

  • @MarkSP2 h t t p : / / dailyiphoneblog. c o m /wp-content/uploads/wallpapers/iphone-4-wallpapers/wallpaper-iphone4-27 . j p g

  • i agree completely.. i would hate to b left behind with android.. hard enough to pass by one apple phone for the next let alone 30 of them lol nice vid! i subbed/liked

  • Good review.. Still think the best phone is the galaxy s wiv that sexy amoled screen =p

What is that notification app called and does it deal wiv facebook?

  • @rasull I'm actually getting the galaxy s pretty soon (I know, I caved - that's why I'm selling the iphone), so I'll be doing another OS comparison review, but with an android phone this time :P I'm curious to see if the galaxy's amoled screen is better than the iphone's higher-resolution screen. The notification app is called LockInfo from Cydia. I don't think it has a facebook plug in, but I wire all my facebook notifications to my email anyways.

  • @TechSaviSolution yea id b pissed if the galaxy s has a better screen.. so if i watch ur comparison later on and u say its overall better.. ima break my iphone in front of at&t again.. maybe this time ill go to apple with a galaxy s and tell um to shuv it lol

  • @Stevowarner2 Haha well, I got my Galaxy S and I have to say that the colors look slightly more appealing on the galaxy s...but the resolution & viewing angles on the iphone 4 is better imo. So don't break your iphone just yet! They're both great phones. I'll be doing the comparison video after I upload a customization/rooting/flashing guide for the Samsung Galaxy S.

  • @TheIdoop The android OS is currently only available on the iPhone 2G and 3G, which is 2 generations behind the iPhone 4....I was reviewing a jailbroken iPhone 4, so I couldn't really take "Android on the iPhone 4" into the review. But thanks for the correction about the flash - I forgot Mobile Cinema was still in the works :)

  • nice video you cant beat a jailbroken iphone

  • what jailbreak theme r u runnin on?

  • @Army0fThree It's a combination of Macbook 3.1 and Metal iPhone Blue, both of which are from Cydia.

  • you sound so hot

  • @killer3878 If you read the video description, watch the first 10 seconds of the video, or read this comment, then you'd already know that this video wasn't made to prove that a jailbroken iphone is more customizable. You'd also know that I did compare the jailbroken iphone 4 to a ROOTED Android phone (see 5:53 and 8:38)... Show me at least 3 other videos that compare a JAILBROKEN iphone 4 to an Android phone...yep, that's what this review's for.
