  • this is a Hong Kong Commercial made for Cantonese-speaking market for JAL at the year of 88. JAL uses a Japanese song as a theme song sung by a well-known Japanese artist. It's a classic. And it's a great commercial.

  • what is the artist's name?

  • you can actually hear the Chinese in this.

How do I know even though I do NOT speak Chinese?

Chinese is much slower than Japanese and has more space for each word (maybe?)@aznboieiji

  • @rocker78able

well, duh. cantonese is tonal, and syllabic, whereas japanese is neither.

  • is this in chinese???

  • If it´s JAPAN Airlines, it must be JAPANESE.

  • if you hear the speaking it sounds more Chinese

and i know the differences between the two

  • If you know the difference, then why did you ask?

  • that what it sounds like idiot

  • Just because its a Japanese airline doesn't mean theres some law that says they can't advertise overseas...

  • This is in Cantonese, which is a type of Chinese.

  • It is Chinese , not Japanese.

  • 広東語じゃん

  • the commercial is in Japanese, you can hear it in the background, but this must be playing in Hong Kong because there is this guy who speaks in Cantonese (Chinese) on top of it...

  • The song is in Japanese but the narrator is speaking in Cantonese

  • yeah, this must be a Japan Airlines Ad for Chinese tv stations...

  • song by kiyotaka sugiyama(杉山 清貴)

  • The Reason Jal released that was since the JAL 123 incident.

  • OH MY GOD! I remember the music of this commercial for years and years. Thanks YOU TUBE for bring back this childhood memories! NOTE: One of these JAL commercials passed here in Brazil, with its original japanese music. Greetings from São Paulo.
