@afroschlan No, not at all. The thing is already a bit spider-crab-like, which makes spikes seem appropriate. Rubber would work too... :-)
When the thing is complete, it will steer tank-style, so the feet will have to be able to skid sideways a bit. It actually won't work if it has too much traction.
