Wow this is the 1st time I've ever gotten an ad while watching one of Raychuls vids. I'm not sure if you just recently became a partner channel on YT, or if you've been a partner channel for a long time (and I've just been lucky enough to not get ads) but regardless, its hard not to think that you're showing off your boobs just to get more clicks rather than because you're a proud female gamer.

About Phoenix Wright, Raychul... You should be the ONE to know that you can't say that about a video game, since that could be said about ANY game! In Resident Evil you just solve puzzles, in Devil May Cry you just slash monsters, in Megaman you just run, jump and shoot. The game is amazing and has an awesome story, art style, soundtrack and gameplay! Everything about the game is amazing! It gets so hype when I know that I've got THE evidence to pwn a guy and reveal that he's guilty! :D

2: Youtube doesn't stream different versions of the videos to you, for everyone else the audio comes out one channel after the intro.

3: If you feed a stereo pair of speakers a mono input it will seem as if it is silent if the audio isn't on the side which feeds the speakers. So both speakers may be working but they will be silent when the audio is on the wrong side which is exactly the problem you're describing.

If you're using a 3.5mm jack in either a laptop or cheap soundcard try pushing it in more, sometimes if the plug isn't in all the way you will only get a mono signal.

Time-splitters 2 was cool, I agree. I played it loads on the Gamecube! I think anything that is more funny/different rather than serious/realistic makes a game more fun. Which is why I would play mario kart over any other racing game

Sometimes graphics don't matter. You can have the simplest graphics imaginable, but if the game is fun. It's fun. What bothers me is the notion that good graphics don't matter. If that were the case. We'd all be playing games with stick figure characters right now. Yes, games with simple graphics can be successful, but it's not what's driving the industry. The biggest and best graphics still drive this industry. It's why graphics cards get better every year. It's why we're getting Xbox720 & PS4.

Hey Raychul, regarding video game novels, I was curious if you had read the BioShock prequel novel by John Shirley called BioShock: Rapture? I didn't even know a BioShock book was coming out when I just happened to come across it in the bookstore a few months ago. I enjoyed it and it made me want to play the games again--it was cool to read about how everything came together in the beginning.

I agree completely with your opinion on graphics, Raychul. They're a plus, but not essential to a game's overall quality. I think that Saints Row The Third is a solid example of this. Great game with loads of fun, laughs and outrageously memorable moments to be had, but the game's visuals aren't impressive. Regardless, the game was a blast. Personally, I do think that as you said, games like Uncharted that are well rounded in every category are the greater games, but graphics alone? No.

I can't play a game if it looks like shit for it's time. I'd play play an NES game that looked great for it's time, than a shitty looking game for a new console. A perfect example is F.E.A.R. 1.
